Bazhe Terraces are located in Bazhe Village, Renzhuang Township, 8 kilometers from the township government, 35 kilometers from the county seat, and 8 kilometers from the China-Vietnam border. The terraces cover over 1,000 acres and stretch for several kilometers, offering different views from various angles. Although there is a ticket office at the entrance of the Bazhe Terraces scenic area, it is clearly not in operation, and there are no staff around, so you can enter without paying. We suspect that it is no longer maintained, especially when you find one of the walking paths covered in weeds halfway through. We abandoned the idea of forging ahead and decided to stick to the road. Perhaps it was a fortunate mistake, as walking along the road allowed us to take in a panoramic view of the terraces. Along the way, there were not many tourists, and the serene environment highlighted the vast and magnificent terrace scenery, making it exceptionally beautiful. Due to the recent rain, entering the terrace area felt like stepping in mud. If you don't want to dirty your shoes, you can wear shoe covers or shoes that are easy to clean. Compared to the famous Longsheng Terraces in Guilin or the Yuanyang Terraces in Yunnan, the unique feature of Bazhe Terraces is the karst terrain in the distance. If you plan to tour around Quyang Lake, it takes about four hours by bicycle, so hiking is not recommended. Visitors who prefer self-driving or renting a car can drive around the lake, but be cautious as the roads are quite narrow. Alternatively, visitors can choose to take a sightseeing boat tour, which takes about two hours. We arrived at Quyang Lake at 3 PM and chose to cycle around the lake. The bike rental fee is $30 for 2 hours, and $10 for each additional hour, with the latest return time at 6 PM. Quyang Lake is surrounded by rolling hills of varying heights, offering picturesque scenery along the way. You can capture beautiful photos from different angles, just like a landscape painting. Along the way, you can see many villagers herding livestock, some grazing cattle, and others herding ducks, enjoying a leisurely life. The best spot to watch the sunset at Quyang Lake is near the dam at the entrance. We managed to return the bikes to the visitor center by 6 PM and waited at the dam for the sunset. Although the clouds obscured most of the sun that day, rays of sunlight still pierced through the clouds, creating a stunning 'Jesus light' effect.

Until I got to the entrance I felt that this place was very shabby and didn't look like an AAAA-rated scenic spot at all, but once inside the park it was a completely different scene, and I can tell you that it is definitely worth entering. Along the way, you will first pass a large grassland, and then tourists can choose their own tour route. We set out on a journey across the lake made only of lotus leaf-shaped pillars, and were able to take photos of ducks and water wheels along the way. Then we arrived at a place where you must take photos, the stone tablet of the Goose Spring. First, you have to walk to the stone tablet, and then find your companion to take photos for you from the opposite side. Then your photos can capture the natural blue spring water. China and Vietnam share a long border, however the most spectacular part of this must be the Detian Waterfalls in China's Guangxi Province. Around a 3 hours drive eastwards of Nanning, or alternatively south from Baise, it is reached by private car or public bus. To drive here, you can rent a car and drive yourself as the roads are in good condition and not difficult to navigate, or you can hire a driver. For the bus, you can depart from Nanning bus station, although this option is slower. Remember to bring ID or passports for buying tickets and for the frontier border check-even though you're not leaving a country, all vehicles are still inspected. When you arrive, you board the sightseeing bus up the mountain, straddling the river that seperates the two countries, finally arriving at the top and the waterfall scenic area. You walk in a circular direction around the waterfall from the east side, offering spectacular close-up views of the whole valley. There are many observation points for photos or videos here. There are places to buy souvenirs and also vietnamese snacks. Be sure to try the cliff walk, glass bridge and the slide down the mountain for 59¥! Best time to visit here has to be mid-afternoon, so that you get both daytime and the evening sunset over the mountains range and waterfalls. Arrive here by private car before or after visiting Goose Spring, a 15-mimute drive away. Jiuzhou is located close to the China-Vietnam border region and therefore is a mixture of both cultures., especially the architectural style of some of the buildings here. Taking a relaxed stroll through the small lanes, you can witness local life and culture, from the distinct language dialect, through the the handicrafts that can be bought here. There are several pretty temples and pavilions inside that are framed with the backdrop of the surrounding hills and small lakes. Yesterday on our way to Baise, Jingxi from Nanning, at half way, we stopped by the “Goose Spring”. 🦆 This place is highly recommended ✅, is a beautiful valley within the mountains ⛰️ that is combined with the green 🌳of the nature and yellow of the rice fields 🌾together with a gorgeous pound 💧, making this a very peaceful ☮️ and relaxing 🧘‍♀️🧘 spot 🏞️ To get there probably the best is to rent a car 🚗 or hired a driver, but we also saw some local buses 🚌 , that could bring you there from Nanning city. Getting There - The place is not of easy access, we hired a driver🚗 and came from Nanning by car, it took around 4 hours but including a stop or around 2 hours in another destination where we had the chance to see the spring goose and rice fields. Attractions - just take a boat ⛵️and enjoy a ride of a little over or one hour around the lake surround by beautiful mountains everywhere. The best part is that seems to not be very well know yet, therefore we were the only ones in the boat, it felt like a private tour only for us ! 😎 Hotels - we did not stay here, but seems there are some hotels in the lake, anyway I would recommend to go and sleep somewhere else, probably the driver can suggest some good option. As one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Jingxi, E'quan is famous for its clear spring water, beautiful karst landforms, and rich Zhuang ethnic customs. 🌟 Core Highlights 1. E'quan Scenery The spring water is clear and mirror-like all year round, and the lake surface presents a dreamy blue-green color. The surrounding mountains are reflected in the water, like a picture scroll. In the early morning or at sunset, the mist is lingering, and the scenery is particularly charming. The spring is about 30m deep. According to legend, villagers in ancient times found the spring under the guidance of a divine goose, hence the name "E'quan". The spring is rich in carp.
