A manga-like landscape just 3 hours from Tokyo! I took a birthday vacation in September and decided to spend two days in Izu to see the mountains and the sea. 🍵 From the Omuroyama, the filming location of "Your Name," to the shimmering blue-green rocky coast, to the various open-air hot springs with sea views, Izu is the perfect place to relax and unwind! 📍Two-day itinerary & guide Day 1️⃣ Morning: Tokyo - Izu-Atagawa Station Afternoon: Jogasaki Coast Transportation: Navigate to "Izu Oceanic Park." Take the train from Atagawa for 3 stops to "Jogasaki Coast Station," a small unmanned station. Swipe your Suica card to exit the station. There are signs for "Kadowaki Suspension Bridge" and "Izu Oceanic Park" at the entrance. Just follow the signs, no need to navigate. 🏠 You will pass through a Japanese-style villa area with many beautiful small houses. 📸 The best spot to take a panoramic photo of the Kadowaki Suspension Bridge is the observation deck to the north. Day 2️⃣ Morning: Hotel - Komuroyama Afternoon: Return to Tokyo ⚠️ I originally planned to visit Omuroyama! But when I went, the cable car was closed due to lightning the day before! So be sure to check the operating status before you go to avoid disappointment! If it's closed, head to Komuroyama instead! ⛰️ Komuroyama is also beautiful! You can see Mount Fuji on one side, Matcha Omuroyama on the other, and the sea on the other... It feels like a manga scene with a grassland on the horizon. After seeing it, I realized that Japanese manga is real. 😭 🚠 The cable car to the top is a single-person ride with no safety measures. You just hold on and go. It's so much fun! 🕐 The mountain is small, and you can explore it in 20 minutes. 🎫 The cable car costs 500 JPY one way and 800 JPY round trip. It closes at 4:00 pm! ❗️ Be sure to go down the mountain before 4:00 pm. The last cable car is at 4:20 pm. 🏨 I stayed at a hotel near Atagawa Station. I loved the open-air hot spring with a sea view. Most of the rooms are standard Japanese-style inns, like the houses in Detective Conan. ——That's all. Have a great day! 🥳

I went to Kukuru, an Okinawan restaurant in Ohito, Izunokuni City, Shizuoka Prefecture! You can enjoy Okinawan dishes such as somen chanpuru and mozuku tempura! It's a small izakaya that attracts a lot of locals♪ The food was delicious! It's a wonderful izakaya that only locals know about! Please go and check it out! The oldest onsen town on Shizuoka’s beautiful Izu Peninsula, it is listed as one of the “100 Best Hot Springs” in the country. Kawazu-Nanadaru Loop Bridge, in Japan, is an example of how to build a bridge from one mountainside to another when the sides of the mountain are so steep that it is not possible to build a road at the same elevation on both sides. It's one of the most spectacular bridges in the world.  This double spiral brings cars up or down a full 147 feet while being seemingly suspended in a valley between two mountainsides. It is an amazing bit of architecture. Coming upon this bridge in the middle of this mountain road is quite an experience. The bridge spiraling around like a serpent, was finished in 1982 and has become a popular landmark on Highway 414 heading south from Tokyo towards the hot spring resorts of the Izu peninsula. I climbed Mt. Ohira in Numazu, Shizuoka Prefecture! Unfortunately, it was raining so I couldn't see Mt. Fuji, but I enjoyed the forest and ran up to Mt. Ohira! On the way, there was a tree that looked like a breast! Lol (I'll just call it the breast tree!) Please try to find the "breast tree"! You might get lucky! If it's sunny, Mt. Mt. Omuro is a magical mountain. It is an inactive volcano that changes colors throughout the season. During Summer, it is color green. During the cold seasons, it dries up and becomes brown. Visitors can ride a lift to go to the crater of Mt. Omuro, where they will be allowed to walk around it to gain a 360 degree view of the whole place. The New York Lamp and Flower Museum is a park located beside the sea in Itou City. It does not only offer a unique collection of rare New York lamps. It also showcases a wide variety of flower and plant collection in a huge garden by the sea. The location also has an antique gallery and a snack house. The Togetsu Bridge of Shuzenji Onsen is different from the Togetsu Bridge of Kyoto. Aside from the fact that they do not look anything more alike, they also have a lot of different things to offer. The Togetsu Bridge of Shuzenji Onsen has many locals roaming around with a 1900s carriage, offering tourists for a paid ride around the historical complex. Shuzenji Onsen is full of bridges because it is surrounded with creeks and rivers. The Katsura and the Kaede Bridge are two of the known bridges in Shuzenji Onsen, not only because of their historical architecture but also because of the beauty of the trees that surround them. Shuzenji Onsen has it all! It even has a mini Bamboo Forest in the heart of it! Although it is just a mini Bamboo Park, it is still very beautiful, tranquil, and majestic. One can just easily spend an hour or two there. sitting in the Bamboo-made round bench while marveling at the Moso Bamboos at the Bamboo path. 🏔️ Mount Omuro | Break into Miyazaki Hayao's Matcha Summer🍃 Use one day to see the mountains and sea of Izu ||💯 Mount Omuro, Izu Nanny Guide, 💬 Many recommendations from [Ito Station] to get off, but the bus ride to Mount Omuro takes about 1 hour, I personally prefer a shorter bus ride, so I chose to go back and forth from [Izukogen Station], at the same time [Ito Station] There are many tourists who get off, and there will be fewer people at [Izukogen Station].
