Holbox is quite a famous paradise but today I want to share a view of it from the sky during my flight to Cancun. We did a kayak tour in #holbox that quickly became one of the highlights of our trip. We started at 6am and saw t he sunrise while we were getting #Kayaks ready to rote to Punta Mosquito in Holbox We saw lots of birds we had never seen before, puffer fish 🐡, sting rays , but the big WOW in our mouths came when we saw 4 baby crocodiles and a 3.5 meter crocodile chilling by the shore , only a few meters from our kayaks. The awe combined with the focus to keep our kayaks straight and not disturb (or worse: bump into) the #crocodiles made waking up at 5am 100% worth it!! 📍Address: Holbox Island, Mexico 🕰️Business Hours: at 6am starts the tour 💞Reasons to Recommend: crocodiles!!!!

In contrast to the hustle and bustle of Cancun, Isla Holbox is a quiet, hidden beach resort full of nature. It's not too touristy, and there's a laid-back atmosphere, so I was able to truly relax. [Attractions of the spot] - Shallow, crystal clear water: The waves are very calm, and the shallow beach is shallow enough that you can walk forever. It's perfect for soaking rather than swimming. - Golf cart town: There are no cars on the island, and transportation is mainly by golf cart or bicycle. This alone will instantly improve your travel mood. - Beautiful sunsets: The sky is wide, and the sunsets are very beautiful. - Local art scattered throughout: There are many murals and art all over the city, so just walking around is fun! [Recommended points] - Whale shark tour (June to September): During the season, tours to swim with whale sharks are very popular! It was a moving experience. - Morning walks and sunsets on the beach: There are few tourists, so the beach in the morning and at sunset are truly spectacular and private. ・Fresh seafood and street food: There are many small restaurants and food stalls, and the ceviche and tacos are delicious and cheap! [Access] ・The way to get there from Cancun is a little complicated, but easy. 1. Take the ADO bus from Cancun to Chiquila in about 2.5 to 3 hours. 2. Take the ferry from Chiquila Port to Holbox Island in about 20 to 30 minutes. ・Once you arrive on the island, there are golf cart taxis lined up at the port, so you can easily move to your accommodation. [Summary] Holbox Island looks like a tourist destination, but still has a "local feel". Nature, tranquility, cute townscape, and simple people. All of these places reminded me of the origins of my travels.
