#europeonbudget The Brontë Parsonage Museum is a writer's house museum maintained by the Brontë Society in honour of the Brontë sisters – Charlotte, Emily and Anne. The museum is in the former Brontë family home, the parsonage in Haworth, West Yorkshire, England, where the sisters spent most of their lives and wrote their famous novels. The parsonage was built between 1778 and 1779. In 1820, Patrick Brontë was appointed incumbent of St Michael and All Angels' Church, Haworth, and arrived at the parsonage with his wife Maria and six children. It was the family home for the rest of their lives, and its moorland setting had a profound influence on the writing of Charlotte, Emily, and Anne. Patrick Brontë was a published author of poetry and fiction and his children grew up accustomed to the sight of books carrying their family name on the parsonage shelves.

#europeonbudget One of Haworth's oldest and most iconic drinking establishments, the Black Bull has stood at the top of the village's cobbled Main Street since the 16th century. Built from local millstone grit, the imposing inn overlooks both the village square to the front and several artisan shops from the terrace. Infamously linked to the Bronte sister's only brother Branwell, who frequented the inn regularly, claiming his favoured chair in the small parlour. According to his contemporaries, Branwell would often be found holding court by the fireplace to an audience of weary travellers or locals, regaling them with his entertaining repertoire of worldly discourse & effusive prose. Other stories tell of a drunk Branwell evading discovery by his family by escaping into the graveyard and on to the Parsonage via a kitchen window along the church wall of the Black Bull. In September 1792 the Black Bull became the seat of the Lodge of the Three Graces Haworth 408, with Branwell serving as secretary at one point.

#europeonbudget Haworth is a village in West Yorkshire, England, in the Pennines 3 miles (5 km) south-west of Keighley, 8 miles (13 km) north of Halifax, 10 miles (16 km) west of Bradford and 10 miles (16 km) east of Colne in Lancashire. Haworth is a tourist destination known for its association with the Brontë sisters. A really great place to get out, it would be better if the national park actually improved the paths and had better directions. It is a great place for all families to get out As a wheelchair user I think that most paths are not accessible. Wheelchairs can only really go on the children’s trail which isn’t great. If your looking for an accessible push in your chair I would suggest checking out miles without styles. Or if you think you fancy pushing yourself in your chair go and have a push!
