An ice 🍦 takes you back to the summer of the past
In Hualien, if "a piece of ice" represents a certain emotion, then the answer must be the ice from Guangfu Sugar Factory. For locals, this is not a popular check-in spot, but the most authentic taste of childhood, after school, and that summer. But for tourists, Guangfu Sugar Factory is a charming corner that combines history, humanities, eating ice, walking, taking pictures, and being in a daze. 🏭 From a sugar factory to a local cultural base Guangfu Sugar Factory was founded in 1921. It has gone through the Japanese colonial period, the post-war sugar-making boom, and the modern fallow transformation. The park retains a large number of old buildings and factory facilities, allowing you to eat ice while feeling the historical trajectory of the century-old sugar industry. Although sugar is no longer produced today, the factory area has been completely preserved:
✔ Old locomotive and sugar iron tracks
✔ Japanese-style wooden dormitories
✔ Sugar-making machine exhibition hall
✔ Leisurely trails with green shade and old trees
Every step is like flipping through an old photo album, especially when the afternoon sun shines obliquely, the pictures are particularly tasteful.
🍦 Popular ice cream|The most famous ice cream in Hualien!
Speaking of Guangfu Sugar Factory, everyone must immediately think of "that ice shop"!
There are dozens of popsicle flavors, ranging from traditional milk, peanuts, taro, to innovative matcha, passion fruit, red bean milk, etc., and each one costs less than 30 yuan, which is refreshing and not greasy and full of Taiwanese flavor.
There are also traditional flavored stick ice and cup ice cream, recommended: ✔ Classic milk ice (rich milk flavor without being too sweet) ✔ Peanut popsicle (super dense, real ingredients) ✔ Matcha ice cream (refreshing and layered) ✔ Adults enjoy nostalgia and children enjoy eating it happily. It is a must-have summer food for traveling! ⚠️Reminder ✔ There will be queues during the popular holiday hours. It is recommended to avoid the crowds from noon to 2 pm. 📸 Taking photos and checking in is also a surprise ✔ Guangfu Sugar Factory has many photo highlights, not the kind of deliberately designed devices ✔ but the traces left by the years ✅ Old walls entangled by tree roots ✅ The discontinued small locomotive and sugar iron track ✅ The window lattices, wooden doors, and eaves of the Japanese dormitory group ✅ The corner of the trail where light shines in the shade ✔ No excessive filters are needed, just an ice, a bench, you and the light ✔ The picture is already very moving ✔ 👣 Recommended activities in the park:
