days 6 nights in Fukuoka, Japan 👉 rare rural luxury travel route in the market
👀 I found that I love the countryside of Japan more than those fast-paced, well-known big cities who like to avoid the crowds for in-depth tours! ⚠️ Attention treasures ~ Although fewer people know about the Japanese countryside, it doesn't mean it's not interesting!! ️
This time, we are planning a #Fukuoka itinerary in Kyushu, Japan for 7 days and 6 nights! Direct flight from Shanghai about 2 hours or so! 🌟The itinerary includes various themed trains, sea views, A5-level Saga beef, active crater, ancient hot springs, Beppu Hell Seven Soup Tours, Sakura Azalea... and cute Kumamon, fairy tale-filled "Dragon Ball" creation site... and a museum and pot island sake collection-level experience!
Day 1⃣️:
Direct flight to Fukuoka Airport in Japan, shuttle to Kurumi. If you come in mid-April - early May, the ubiquitous azaleas will turn the whole town into a country garden, no less stunning than the cherry blossoms! Here, there is also a thousand-year-old temple worth visiting, known as one of the "Jiuzhou Scenic Spots" by friends who have been there!
Stay at night in a purely Japanese-style hot spring ryokan! The 150,000-square-foot Japanese garden has a hotel-is-attraction experience! There are 5,000 cherry blossoms and nearly 50,000 azaleas planted in the garden. The cherry blossoms are in full bloom in March and April every year, and there is a lighting ceremony at night. During the azalea period (late March ~ golden holiday), the annual flower festival is held, the atmosphere is super strong!
Day 2⃣️:
This stop is Yanagawa! There was a hot video before - Boatman pole jumping bridge, right here! Of course, we must take a traditional “どんこ boat” or “Kawashitaり” wooden boat to admire the ancient buildings on both sides along the clear river, listen to the boatman at the helm while singing traditional folk songs and eating barbecue! Then passing through Kumamoto City, if you are a Kumamoto fan, we have a special trip to Kumamoto Kuma! Finally arrive under the Aso volcano and stay at the Minami Aso Hot Spring Village to soak in the hot springs!
⚠️ps: If you are interested in wine, we can arrange a wine and food stay experience! Fukuchiyo Sake Brewery - The sake brand Pot Island has won numerous awards, but the distillery is not open to the public for visits or tastings! Its restaurants serve more than 20 kinds of "Kojima" sake, including a special edition that can only be drunk at Kusanagi restaurants. The utensils used are from the owner's private collection, full of ceremony!
Day 3⃣️
The first stop is Kumanoza Shrine, the location of the classic anime "Firefly Forest"! Lunch is arranged with ingredients skewered and inserted next to the charcoal fire grilled Aso round-fired local cuisine. After lunch, continue to visit Nakadake Crater, Kusanagi, helicopter sightseeing... Finally arrive at Kurokawa Onsen and stay in a Japanese-style ryokan with 8 private hot spring rooms!
Days 4⃣️-7⃣️
These 3 days focus on in-depth tour of the hot spring town Yufuin, which is the creation of the animation "Dragon Ball"! Climb the Tsurumi-dake active volcano by cable car, the mountain full of cherry blossoms or azaleas is breathtakingly beautiful! The next day, go to the waterfront castle town and have a more Kyoto atmosphere than Kyoto! When you're tired of shopping, let's have a cup of Japanese tea at a century-old tea shop!
