COLEMANS FARM - It takes just over an hour to get there from Stratford! The oak tree is over 500 years old, and the treehouse itself is more than 100 years old — truly a magical experience. During the day, you can see deer roaming nearby from inside the treehouse, and at night, small animals come to drink from the pond. If you get bored, you can visit the farm to feed lambs or go hiking. We were also lucky enough to see a stunning sunrise!
We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. It cost £250 per night, and £550 in total including service fees. Check-in is at 3pm and check-out at 11am. Be sure to watch the time, as everything is self check-in and check-out. If you want hot pot, remember to bring your own pot — there’s no microwave or oven in the treehouse (see p3).
🚗 From Stratford, take the Central line to Epping, then either take a taxi or bus to Colemans Farm (taxi recommended).
🌳 There are also some interesting activities nearby, such as hiking to what’s said to be the world’s oldest wooden church or visiting a Cold War–era bunker.
