Although the hotel looks a bit old, it is a good choice for a small county town. The lobby has a very high ceiling and is decorated in an old-fashioned style. As you go up the stairs toward the elevator, you can even see statues of gods, which is a special feature of this small hotel in southern Fujian. The room is of moderate size and not cramped. The bathroom is quite large and the overall room is clean. The soundproofing is average, but the surrounding environment is good. Dongban She Ethnic Village is located in the northern part of Taoyuan Town, Datian County, Sanming City. The village was formed and established during the early Song Dynasty (960-997 AD). It is 9 kilometers away from the town center and consists of four natural villages, inhabited by families with surnames such as Wu, Xiong, Liu, Huang, Zhang, and Lin. There are three dialects spoken here: Hakka, local, and Minnan. The main industries are rice, corn, and vegetables, with bamboo, high mountain tea, and She medicine as auxiliary industries. Over the centuries, Dongban has maintained its history of over a thousand years. The ancient residences are well-preserved, the scenery is beautiful, and the cultural heritage is rich and unique. The original ecology has long been free from pollution and destruction. The unique She culture, the green hills and waters, the ancient residences, the thousand-year-old trees, and the profound folk customs are like a fine aged wine, intoxicating without drinking. Dongban is a thousand-year-old village, an ecological rural area, a beautiful countryside, a She ethnic village, and a cultural village. It is the only She ethnic minority village in Datian. The ecological advantages are obvious, with fertile land and abundant forest resources. It has rich cultural heritage resources: the national-level cultural relic protection unit 'Anliang Fort' built by the Xiong ancestors; the Xiong Ancestral Hall 'Desheng Jincheng'; the temple fair activities held every year in the third lunar month with Anliang Fort as the theme, including rituals, fire-walking, and communal meals; and the 'Fujintang' built during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty by the fifth-rank official Wu Dafu.

Sanming Taoyuan Self-Driving Tour Driving on the highway, I accidentally saw the sign for Taoyuan and was reminded of Tao Yuanming's 'The Peach Blossom Spring.' Curious, I decided to take a look and exited the highway at Taoyuan. Turning right and driving forward for 200-300 meters, I reached the tourist distribution center of Taoyuan. After driving in and asking the staff, they warmly explained that their Flower Sea Amusement Park was nearby, just 200-300 meters straight ahead. Walking around the park, I felt much more relaxed, and it seems like a place where kids could play all day without getting bored. The staff told us that hidden deep in the mountains is a thousand-year-old ancient village (Dongban Ancient Village), ancient trees, and a castle, known as Anliang Fort. Following the navigation for about 8km, the scenery along the way was also very nice, full of greenery and fresh air, with a high negative ion content of over 8000 all year round. It took about 10-20 minutes to reach the entrance of the scenic area. Walking in, it truly felt like a paradise on earth, with various types of local ancient dwellings. The staff mentioned that the area occasionally hosts various events. They told us that recently, their scenic area was the filming base for the short drama 'A Single Blow to the City,' a sketching base for college students, a venue for orienteering competitions, and a research and study base for students. It seems they've really done a great job. Strolling through the ancient village, I felt like I was part of it, transforming into a member of the She ethnic group. Along the way, there were men and women dressed in She attire, looking beautiful and handsome. You can also rent She clothes for photo ops, and there are many great spots for taking pictures. Even a casual shot with a phone turns out well. First, we saw their ancient She medicine garden, a paradise for traditional Chinese medicine enthusiasts. For us ordinary folks, it's just nice to look around. Then we came to Fuyu Hall, which has a revolutionary heritage as the former site of the Red Ninth Army. Inside, there are stories about the martyrs, which are truly touching. The staff told us that there are usually special performances at the Fuyu Hall square in the morning and afternoon. We were lucky with our timing and saw a performance, which was absolutely amazing. Continuing the walk, we reached Ankun Bridge, where we could rest our feet. Sitting on Ankun Bridge was so cool, like being in an air-conditioned room on a summer day. Turning right from Ankun Bridge, we arrived at the distinctive ancient dwelling called the Witch Doctor's Residence. Its owner was a fifth-grade imperial physician and also the health guardian of the ancient village. Further inside, we saw the thousand-year-old tree that has witnessed the millennium changes of the ancient village. It is said that Emperor Qianlong also visited here and inscribed the title 'Thousand-Year Tree King.' You can also make a wish here, and it's said to be very effective. Next to it is the Dyeing Workshop, where you can experience the dyeing wisdom of the ancient She people. Here, you can also enjoy a cup of milk tea and watch a performance of 'climbing the knife mountain and descending into the sea of fire,' which is quite enjoyable. 200 meters ahead, you'll reach Anliang Fort, known as the Potala Palace of the South. The most famous part here is Anliang Fort itself, and I admire the wisdom of the ancients for building such a grand and bandit-proof house. Overall, it was a very nice self-driving trip. If you want to relax and unwind, I highly recommend visiting.~

In front of you is a vast expanse of vegetation like something out of an anime scene, and behind you is the endless sea. Anliang Fortress is located in Datian County, Sanming City, Fujian Province. It was built in the 15th year of the Jiaqing era of the Qing Dynasty (1810) and took 5 years to complete. The fortress spans 40 meters from north to south and 35 meters from east to west, covering an area of nearly 1500 square meters. The entire fortress is built along the mountain terrain, with a lower front and a higher back; it has 48 rooms built along its walls, and the height difference of up to 14 meters gives Anliang Fortress a staggered and increasingly imposing appearance. It is now the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units. Anliang Fortress is a typical defensive earthen fortress built against the mountain, in an irregular semicircular shape. On the left and right sides of the main gate, there are 15 wooden corridor houses with Xieshan-style roofs, which overlap like fish scales from top to bottom, used for storing grain in peacetime and as 'refuges' in wartime. The horse-walking corridor on the wall is one of the typical features of the earthen fortress, and almost all fortresses have such corridors (which are actually not wide, barely enough for walking, let alone running horses!), allowing free movement along the fortress walls. The structure of being lower in the front and higher in the back makes the fortress three-dimensional, facilitating observation and defense, with shooting holes arranged around the walls to fend off enemies from all sides without leaving any blind spots. The Datian Earthen Fortresses originated in the Song and Yuan dynasties and flourished in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Different from the earthen buildings in Western and Southern Fujian, the Weiwu in Southern Jiangxi, the Weilong houses and Diaolou in Guangdong, they are a type of rural architecture with a primary focus on military defense and a secondary focus on residential function. Less than a hundred of these fortresses remain today, among which the most representative ones include Anliang Fortress in Dongban Village, Taoyuan Town, Fanglian Fortress in Xusikeng Village, Junxi Town, Taian Fortress and Guangchongtang in Xiaohua Village, Taihua Town, and Pipa Fortress in Chengjiang, Jianguo Village, Jianshe Town. During the holiday, I spent two days visiting the above five fortresses. The distances between each fortress are not short, and they are located in the countryside, so it's more convenient to travel by car. As national key cultural relics protection units, they are indeed very representative, and each fortress has a unique architectural style! Personally, I think Anliang Fortress is the most beautiful one. Now inside the Dongban Ancient Village Scenic Area, the ticket price is 98 yuan, and there is a discount to 60 yuan in the off-season of winter , plus a shuttle bus for 15 yuan . After traveling so far, I gritted my teeth and decided to go in for a look, but to be honest, it's really not cost-effective... Nearby, there is also a thousand-year-old Taxus chinensis worth seeing (picture 20).

🔶 Fujian's earthen buildings and fortresses, as one of the regional representatives of traditional Chinese architecture in Fujian, possess unique architectural forms and artistic value. 🔶 Earthen buildings are probably familiar to many, especially the more developed Yongding earthen buildings and Nanjing earthen buildings (Yunshuiyao). However, as large defensive fortress buildings, earthen fortresses are less well-known due to their scattered distribution and their locations mostly in remote valleys. 1️⃣ Pipa Fortress: Named for its planar shape resembling a pipa (a Chinese lute). It is situated on a hillside, at a higher elevation, with roads encircling the building, complementing the architecture and the site. The building is not open to the public. 2️⃣ Anliang Fortress: Located within the She ethnic group scenic area, with a general level of development, and drivable with a fee during the off-season. The building backs onto a mountain and has strong defensive features. It is enclosed on all sides, with a typical layered sloping roof (similar to Anzhen Fortress) on the perimeter, and a hall with a gentler sloping roof in the middle. 3️⃣ Anzhen Fortress: Requires a ticket to enter the scenic area, with a relatively well-developed level of development. The building's footprint and volume are larger than Anliang Fortress. It has a rich interior functional space and a mature defense system. 4️⃣ Taian Fortress: A small earthen fortress with a square plan layout, with the rear two sides forming curved corners, aligning with the traditional cosmological view of 'round sky and square earth.' The building is not open to the public. 5️⃣ Guangchong Hall: Located near Taian Fortress, with a plan resembling a 🦀,

Jiufeng Mountain is located in Xiangshan County, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, and is a famous tourist destination in Ningbo. There are 9 peaks here, each with its unique charm. Some peaks are like fairies descending to earth, graceful and enchanting; others stand like warriors, majestic and unyielding. The landscape here is like a masterpiece of nature, making visitors linger and forget to return.

Recommendation reason: The momentum of this year's Spring Festival tourism is fierce, and many scenic spots are full of tourists. Zhejiang Xiangshan Film and Television City is crowded with people. Why does Xiangshan Film and Television City always stand out on holidays?
