Unknown ancient city!!
Tucked away up in the turkish mountains near Denizli is the beautiful ruins of the ancient Roman city of “Sagalassos” each structure, made from carefully carved and placed rocks or boulders. This mesmerising site is home to running water that dates back to when it was first built and a spectacular view. The site is still ongoing with its archeological finds and discoveries. Definitely a place to visit#historicallandmarks

Turkey: Kibyra the city of fast horses and heroic warriors
Kibyra ancient city is located one hour away from Pamukkale in Burdur province.
Kibyra Ancient City inherited from the Lycians, is located on three hills overlooking the Golhisar plain, at the foot of the Akdag mass. The city, surrounded by Caria, Phrygia, Lycia, and Pisidia in ancient times, was located at the east-west intersection.
Known as the city of fast horses and heroic warriors, the ancient city of Kibyra draws attention especially with the Medusa mosaic in the building used as the Parliament Building and the Odeion (House of Music).
1. Stadion is considered one of the most magnificent ancient stadiums in Anatolia. If you try to feel the struggles of the gladiators while visiting this place, you will be even more impressed.
2. The theater has a capacity of approximately 9,000 people. There is a temple structure on the benches that was later converted into a church.
3. The Tholos Nymphaeum is a planned fountain structure. It was built both to be a social space and to meet the water and sewerage needs of the city with its different evacuation systems.
All of these public structures seem to had only minimal damages. There is much more underground, untouched I guess.
4. The building is known as the Odeion; was used as a music-concert hall, winter theater, judiciary, and city council building. The Medusa mosaic, made of red, green, and white marble, located at the very center of the orchestra, is unique in the world. #turkey #trip #ancientcity

Sagalassos Archaeological Site
Visiting the Sagalassos Archaeological Site was an amazing and impressive experience. Located on the mountains of Burdur in Turkey, it is considered one of the most important archaeological sites in the country.
When I arrived at the Sagalassos site, I was struck by the beauty of the monuments and the history that surrounds them. The city dates back to ancient times, having been established in the 2nd century BC. Sagalassos has been the subject of many cultures and civilizations over the years, including the Romans and Byzantines.
One of the most striking landmarks at the site is the massive Roman theater. This astonishing venue was a place of cultural and theatrical performances enjoyed by the ancient Romans. Walking around the seating areas and imagining what the shows of that era might have looked like was marvelous.
I spent several hours exploring Sagalassos and enjoying the archaeological splendor of the place. It was an experience that reminded me of the importance of preserving humanity's cultural and historical heritage. Visiting the Sagalassos site is a great opportunity to connect with history and enjoy the beauty of ancient Roman ruins.
