"Chinda Falls" A powerful and historic waterfall located in the middle reaches of the Ono River that flows through Oita Prefecture. Sesshu, a famous ink-wash artist active during the Muromachi period, saw the majestic figure of this waterfall and painted it as "Chinda Falls"! The history of the waterfall Long ago, this waterfall was located about 240m downstream from its current location, but repeated erosion and collapse due to the force of water caused the waterfall to gradually move upstream.
