Bari is such a pretty city, especially the old town. It faces the Adriatic sea and it is close to the main touristic places of Puglia, a southern Italy region. We made a stop here to witness the history of this area, which is still alive in the streets and in the beautiful buildings ⛪️ We had to try the local special dish, orecchiette, a home-made pasta in a shape of a hat! Bari - Puglia This amazing city over the Mediterranean sea has something magic that can’t be explained. The down town, means the old part of the city is something really timeless. All the matron are on the street making orecchiette this typical type of pasta. you can buy it straight from them, you can see how the make it and have it right away. people are friendly and very very funny. you have to try the focaccia which is absolutely a must in Bari. and their beer is the Peroni. very good and fresh blond beer. loved this place. the airport is well connected to the city center and also the main train station has a quick transfer to the city center. #spooktaculartrip #tripblazers #fallingforfall #puglia #italy #bari

When I stayed, there were relatively fewer people waiting in the basement, so I was able to wait quietly and leisurely. If you don't like crowded places, I recommend the basement. #bellaitalia

It's a place with a beautiful sea that touches a cliff, and to get there, you absolutely must use Bari Airport! Before I went to Polignano, I traveled to Bari, and it was a very small city that you could travel around on foot! As expected from Italy, the country of pizza, I ate at Tiella, famous for its delicious Margherita pizza, and it was really delicious!

2025 Travel | Italy's Bari in Winter Without Tourists The weather is great! I only wore a sweater when I went out today, and it wasn't cold at all, it was even a little hot. I've been here for a few days and still don't know what Bari looks like, so today I'm not going anywhere, just taking a break and wandering around Bari. I haven't even seen an Asian face on the streets of Bari. In the morning, I walked north from the train station to the Adriatic Sea, where the sea is blue in the sunlight. There was an uncle fiddling with a big bucket on one of the boats, and when he saw us standing there for a long time, he picked up a big octopus and motioned for us to take a picture. The old town is full of life, with people decorating, buying groceries, watching shops, and drying clothes and bedding, and the air is filled with the pleasant scent of laundry detergent. I came across a stall selling freshly made orecchiette, and 3 euros got me a big bag. The Basilica Pontificia San Nicola in the center of the old town is really beautiful! I especially like the arches and Roman columns. I was attracted by the pistachio-covered dessert on the roadside, and the coffee was very good! At noon, I bought focaccia at Panificio Santa Rita, and it was amazingly delicious. Bari exceeded my expectations, I didn't expect it to be so beautiful, and the streets of the city are much cleaner than Rome.

At the end of my solo trip around Europe, I took a boat trip from the port of Bari in Italy to Patras in Greece. This is a photo of the sky and the sea that I cherish. The sunset turned red immediately after we set sail. I had never seen such a red sunset. The contrast between the gray clouds and the red sunset was like a Monet painting. And the moonlight at night illuminated the shimmering water surface. What a beautiful sight, I got up early to take this photo of the sunrise. After about 16 hours on the ferry, we set sail at around 7pm and arrived at the port of Patras around noon the next day. On the boat, I met an Italian journalist couple and spent a lot of time with them. In fact, before boarding the boat, the boarding location was suddenly changed, and when I asked the couple where the boat was boarding because I didn't know where it was, they said they were also boarding the same boat and were looking for the boarding location, so they invited me to join them, and they kindly guided me, as they felt sorry for me, an Asian traveling alone. The boat was also spacious, so I first left my luggage on the rack at the bottom and went up the stairs and escalator to the top. I had reserved a seat in the room, so when I showed my ticket on the boat, I was handed a key card for the auto-lock system and began to search for my seat. By chance, an Italian couple had also reserved a seat in the same room. The husband is a political journalist and the wife is a film journalist. They recommended some movies to me, asked me how I traveled during my trip, and we had endless topics to talk about, including Japan and Italy, and we spent a long time together during the voyage. There were also many other people on board, including a woman from California who had been traveling around Europe with her dog for three months, and a group of people on a high school graduation trip.
