Dreaming want to have a short escape from hustle and bustle of university's life, my friend and I decided to go to CITADEL OF QAITBAY, ALEXANDRIA, EGYPT. As we were traveling from Tanta, Egypt, a small village which full of greenary view with tamed dino-size various kind of animals, also the town was so bright and sound as there are no difference between day and night. Along the road we can hear lorries, motorcycles, cars, and many other type of vehicle blowing their honk. It is also part of Egyptian's unique behavior and attitude which hype me even more. We were traveling by train and then once we arrived in Alexandria, we have to take TREMCO(public minivan) that will bring us to our destination. It cost us less than 35 Egyptian Pounds to go there from Tanta. The journey took about 1¹/² hours. Subhanallah! this beautiful fortress offers breathtaking views of the city and the surrounding cities. some locals suggested us that this is the perfect spot to watch sunset, so we arrived around 5pm. even after so many years, this fortress still look strong, it’s amazing that how well preserved it is. there are only part of the fortress are in ruins, the most of part of the fortress are well preserved. the ticket is really affordable and cheap, as one of the must see places in Alexandria, I recommend everyone to come here. you can take a walk around, and the museum explains that how arabs and Roman use to protect this critical gateway to Egypt from the Mediterranean Sea. this is truly the place where you get fresh air and experience the old civilization #passionpassport #gooutside #egypt #history

I really enjoyed the breathtaking panoramic views from the fortress. It is a must visit in Alexandria. It was built in the 15th century and as a foreigner you can visit it for 200 Egyptian pounds. When I’m in a new city I love to check out desserts and whilst we were in Alexandria Delices caught my attention when I saw the baked goods through the window. They had so many options I will have to come back again to try the others. You can sit inside and enjoy the dessert or takeaway to enjoy back at the hotel. I bought a pistachio cheesecake and it was every bit delicious and creamy and just the right amount of sweetness. Every bite was so filling i finished off the rest the next day!
