But the only downside is that there is almost a contactless check in - check out (which isn’t a bad thing to everyone). Quandary Peak is the highest summit of the Tenmile Range in the Rocky Mountains of North America and is the most commonly climbed fourteener in Colorado. It has nearly the same elevation as Castle Peak and Mount Evans. This hike can be quite treacherous as it took me a total of 6-7 hours return. You will climb approx 3,450 feet with a total distance of approx 11km. This also includes the very thin air which causes you to go abit light headed at times. But with slow and consistent speed you will be able to make it up there. Make sure you bring food and water with you as this hike is really long and tiring. You would also want to take a good break at the top of the mountain to absorb the amazing views that you work so hard for. This is a very well trekked hike, so you do not need to worry, many people come here to hike even on weekdays. This is a relatively easy hike with an increase of elevation at the top of the mountain, this isn't wheel chair friendly as you will need to climb rocks on the way up. Denver Colorado is located at already above 10,000feet above sea level. Air can be really thin up here, so be slow and steady on the things you want to do. The view everywhere is magnificent and breathtaking, and of course really chilly as well. Mount Evans is one of the popular mountains to catch the beautiful sunset of colorado. Mount Evans is always happens to be one of the highest paved road in North America and the view with alpine lakes, massive granite walls and strands of twisted, ancient bristlecone pine takes your breath totally. If you are lucky you will also be able to spot mountain goats and bighorn sheep in the mountains. Driving on Mt evans, has to be extra cautious as the road do not have any barricade and it will be a long drop down below if not careful. Most of the scenic points here are wheel chair friendly but there are a few trials for the adventurous. The Botanical Garden in Denver, Colorado was convenient to visit because it was located in the city. The scenery inside was nice and it was spacious, so there was a lot to see. I was able to see animals like rabbits and ducks. I think there was a wedding that day, but I liked that there was a separate hall or it was spacious, so there weren't too many people. Hiking is the best way to get in touch with nature. On weekends in Denver, friends will meet up to go hiking in the mountains. Denver was so much fun, that we had to go back with the kids. We Ziplined in the mountains, did white water rafting, saw a rainbow every day, hiked and went to museums. I wish we had more time to stay, there was still so much we didn’t get to see and do! We loved the Omni Interlocken and the Gaylord Rockies hotel and resort! The Gaylord was like an upscale great wolf lodge with more to do for the adults and way better food. The Omni, we went back for a 2nd stay.
