In the evening, the entire mountain top was bathed in golden light. The orange-red sunset burned like flames on the horizon, painting the sky in a myriad of colors. The wind turbines were silhouetted against the sunset, their shadows stretched long, as if drawing a mysterious pattern on the ground. At this time, a thin mist rose, gently wrapping around the wind turbines and mountains, adding a touch of hazy beauty to the mountain top, like a fairyland, intoxicating and unforgettable. The night at Xianju Peak was another unique sight. When night fell, the sky was filled with countless stars, like dazzling jewels embedded in the night sky. Lying in the tent, gazing at the vast starry sky through the tent's skylight, I felt as if I was at the center of the universe, and all my worries and fatigue vanished. Occasionally, a shooting star streaked across the night sky, its fleeting beauty making me close my eyes and make a wish. In the morning, the first rays of sunlight bathed the mountain top, awakening the sleeping world. The distant mist gradually dissipated under the sunlight, revealing the outlines of the mountains. Birds sang joyfully on the branches, as if cheering for a new day. Standing on the mountain top, overlooking the sunlit land, I was filled with awe and gratitude for nature. Although Xianju Peak, as a wild camping site, has some shortcomings, such as the camping environment needing improvement, with cow dung and litter left by tourists, making it difficult to find a clean spot to camp, and there are many bugs this season. However, these minor flaws do not overshadow its beauty and uniqueness. It not only boasts magnificent natural scenery but also fresh air and a tranquil atmosphere, allowing people to relax and enjoy the wonderful time of being close to nature. If you also long to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and find a peaceful place, Xianju Peak is definitely a good choice. Don't just look at the maple leaves in autumn. Dawu is known as the "Hometown of Chinese Tallow Trees," and the tallow trees on Beishan Mountain are at their best. The tallow trees are so red this year that they are breathtaking. The best part is that there is no entrance fee! It only takes 1.5 hours to drive from downtown Wuhan to the scenic area. The scenic area is very spacious, so it doesn't feel crowded even when there are many people. In addition to the tallow trees, there is also a field of pink muhly grass, which is perfect for taking photos. The internet-famous suspension bridge sways as you walk on it, which is a little scary. On the way up, we encountered many cows blocking the road, giving a feeling of being in Xinjiang, haha... Xiaogan Dawu Xianju Peak About 1.5 hours drive from Wuhan Travel tips: 1. You can drive all the way to the top. On the way up, there will be many cows and sheep, so be careful to avoid them while driving. 2. It's pure wilderness with no commercial traces, which means no public restrooms! You can carry a lightweight backpack with some water and food to make your trip easier. 3. To the south of Shibatang lies Jingchengzhai, to the west it is supported by Wufeng Mountain, and to the north it leans against Guangtushan. Dawu is known for its Chinese tallow trees, most of which are concentrated in the reservoir of Pengdian Township, Xincheng Town, Xiadian Town, Sigutown, and Liuji Town. The first stop is Jinling Town, Dawu, walking back from afar. The second stop is the North Mountain Red Leaf Cultural Square in Sigutown. If there is enough time, you can also go to Xianjuding to watch the sunset before returning to Wuhan. Each scenic spot is half an hour's drive away. Jinling Town is a simple old village that has been restored as it was, with guesthouses, restaurants, coffee shops, tea rooms, and children's playgrounds. Many buildings were built in the middle and late Ming Dynasty, suitable for photography. There are many guesthouses inside with prices around two to three hundred. The North Mountain Red Leaf Square in Sigutown is the main spot for autumn viewing in Dawu, where there are the most Chinese tallow trees. We arrived late and the leaves had fallen off. Next time we should come in early November and take pictures in the misty morning. A feature of Dawu is that there are free scenic spots along the way. And the roadside villages and rice fields are also quite photogenic. If there is enough time, you can go to Xianjuding to watch the sunset before returning to Wuhan. If you have two days, you can arrange it like this: 1. Camp at Xianjuding on the first day, watch the sunset on the mountain, and after watching the sunrise on the second day, immediately go down the mountain to Sigutown to photograph the Chinese tallow trees in the early morning, and return to Wuhan in the afternoon after going to Jinling Town. (Setting up and taking down tents and cooking food is a bit tiring, suitable for experienced players with good physical strength) 2.
