Guizhou is now considered a desert for Marriott properties, and sometimes the prices of Guiyang's Guanshanhu Fairfield and Renaissance are surprisingly similar, which also surprised me. The hotel is next to the Baili Dujuan Scenic Area in Bijie, only about two kilometers from the West Gate Visitor Center. The attractions in Bijie are quite scattered, so it's not very convenient if you're not driving. It's said that many people come here to escape the summer heat. The hotel parking lot is not very large and has charging stations, but the price is a bit high at 1.88 yuan per kWh. The pool just opened on May 1st, and we caught the first wave. The water temperature was quite high on the first day, but it dropped a bit in the following days. The pool has both deep and shallow areas, with the shallow side suitable for children. The gym is not large. Additionally, the hotel has a self-service laundry room, which is quite rare among Marriott properties. The breakfast restaurant staff are very friendly, always greeting with a smile. When there's a queue at the coffee machine, they let guests return to their seats and bring the coffee over, which is commendable service. Special mention to Manager Zhang from the F&B department, a female with an excellent service attitude, leaving a deep impression. Breakfast includes 4-5 types of bread and pastries, salad, boxed yogurt, three kinds of fruit cuts, 4-5 hot dishes, fried dough sticks, pan-fried dumplings, two types of porridge, and freshly cooked noodles. The noodle station only has two toppings: pickled beans with minced meat and tomato egg. The breakfast restaurant also offers à la carte dishes for lunch and dinner, with a few unique dishes. Since we stayed here for a few days, we specifically chose a day to try it. The Chinese restaurant on the second floor requires a reservation; you can't eat there without one. The hotel is centrally located in the Baili Dujuan Management Area, with residential areas, commercial streets, and supermarkets nearby, so there's no worry about finding food. It's also not far from the highway entrance, making it convenient to visit other scenic spots. Our room was upgraded to a suite, which was quite lucky during the May Day period. The hotel said there are only four suites. The suite is spacious, with a bathtub and a large living room sofa. The only downside is that there's only one bathroom, and it's not a smart toilet. Besides the coffee table, there's no other table, making it inconvenient to eat in the room. Bijie is a nice place with good air quality. On the last day, the weather cleared up, and I saw many stars at night. It's been years since I saw the Big Dipper. Looking forward to coming back once the hot springs open.

Zhigaalu Lake, originally named Shuixi Lake, is located at the junction of Qianxi City in Bijie, southwest of Dafang and Zhijin counties, extending westward to Nayong County. The waters here are vast, the lake water is clear, the reflections are serene and beautiful, and the scenery is tranquil and picturesque. When the sunlight shines on the lake surface, it sparkles with a dazzling array of colors. The distant mountains reflect in the lake, creating a charming interplay of scenery. In the narrow parts of the water area, the peaks on both sides are steep and the rocks are rugged, making it a beautiful blue gem embedded in the Wumeng Plateau.

Located in Bijie, Guizhou, it's a niche tourist spot. Before coming, I heard the road was not good, and I was a bit worried, but it turned out to be fine. No pressure driving by myself! 🚗 Departing from Chengdu, it takes 2:30 hours by high-speed train to reach Bijie, then rent a car and drive directly to the destination. 🏠 Jiudongtian Homestay (Cherry Courtyard) has a nice mountain view, and the bean and rice hotpot is delicious. The next morning, we started an immersive mountain tour experience, haha. I recommend entering from the west gate, climbing up the mountain, and then taking a boat back to the west gate.
