2025 Avila Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in June)

The two month trip to Spain and Portugal will be always on my mind, as it was the last trip before the world closed borders. Had a deep impression especially on Avila, a city in the rolling hill region of Castile and Leon, northwest of Madrid, Spain. It is best known for its intact medieval city walls, with 88 semicircular towers or turrets and 9 gates. The 11th century walls are two kilometres long and the town is famous as the home of Saint Teresa. The walls are beautifully illuminated at night and you can walk along the walls for superb views of the city. The Cathedral of Avila is built into the city walls. Avila is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This destination is highly recommended and is a must go, must see place if you make a trip to Spain, especially so when in Madrid.

The Old Town of Ávila, including the walls and its extramural churches, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985.it has 9 gates and 87 turrets and 2 small gates. this is one of Spanish heritage and you must visit this place This is the best medieval heritage that i visited in Spain

It costs 20 euros per person and I can't finish it [NosePick] The overall price of the town is not high, and there are not many tourists. There are no crowded places. I almost didn't see old Chinese and Korean people. This city wall is not suitable for group tourists [Facepalm]
