All Moments About Colosseo
Visiting one of seven wonders of the world
Visiting Colosseo is definitely a must when traveling to Rome. To avoid queue, be sure to book your ticket a week before your visit. I was going to buy the ticket on the spot, but it’s a long queue on site and the tickets are almost sold out. I’ve tried to buy the ticket the night before our visit but I couldn’t get a ticket. So I went on the second day at 8.30am to buy the tickets, ID is required when you purchase the ticket. Student promo price is only valid for Europe citizen. The normal ticket is €16 which give you one time entrance to the colosseum, palatine hill and Roman Forum.
My advice, avoid visiting in summer cuz it’s gonna be super hot!

❓ Did you know the famous Colosseum in Rome is the largest standing amphitheatre in the world?
ℹ️ The Colosseum is an oval amphitheatre situated in the centre of the city. It is the largest ancient amphitheatre ever built (completed in 80 AD), and is still the largest standing amphitheatre in the world. A real example of the Roman Empire’s architectural innovation.
The Colosseum was used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles such as hunting shows, executions, re-enactments of famous battles etc. After the fall of the Roman Empire, it was even used as a housing complex (temporarily).

Still the number one city in my heart😘
My first trip to Europe alone,
It's been 10 years already, but the number one place in my heart is still 'Rome'.
I'll never forget the moment when I first saw the Colosseum between the buildings while walking without roaming or using a SIM card.
+
Plus, I've been to Florence, but the night before going to the Duomo,
I watched the movie again,
and the romance of the OST playing live was really..🥹

Travel to Italy, a dream city that is more beautiful than expected. 🇮🇹
Italy's dueling arena! Colosseum 🇮🇹
I went to the Colosseum, the symbol of Rome! 🇮🇹
It was a dream since I was a child to visit the magnificent ruins that evoke the glory of ancient Rome, and I really felt the weight of its history. Built around 70 AD, it is a huge amphitheater that can accommodate more than 50,000 people! ⚔️
When I went inside, the place where gladiators once fought spread out before my eyes, and I was overwhelmed by its power. Although much of it has now collapsed, I could feel the breath of history wherever I looked, and it felt as if I had gone back in time. I was mesmerized by the beautiful arches on the exterior and the impressive structure, and was able to quietly enjoy the scenery even though it was crowded with tourists. The Colosseum is a must-see spot for sightseeing in Rome, and a valuable place where you can experience history and culture. A place you should definitely visit when you come to Rome! #Colosseum #Italy #0yentravelFebruary2025

The interior is breathtaking, allowing visitors to walk through the remains of the spectator seats and the arena, experiencing the grandeur of ancient Rome.
Access is easy, with the Colosseo station on Metro Line B just a short walk away. Nearby, there are many other tourist attractions such as the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, making it possible to enjoy a full day of sightseeing. For accommodation, you can stay at places like Hotel Palazzo Manfredi, which offers views of the Colosseum. Dining options include local trattorias where you can savor authentic pasta and pizza.
The Colosseum - Echoes of the ancient warriors in every step 👣🗡️.
The Colosseum, a lasting symbol of the Roman Empire, is an elliptical structure measuring 620 by 513 feet. It was built on the site of a drained artificial lake to mark the end of a tyrannical rule. The Colosseum could hold 60,000 seated spectators and 10,000 standing guests, often hosting around 70,000 people at a time.
We started very early in the morning so there was less crowd. We purchased tickets from its official website so overall experience was very nice & we got lot of time to explore the ancient architecture.

You can’t skip this when in Rome
From where we stayed at Les Chambres d' or near The Vatican, Colosseo is just a quick 2 train rides from Ottaviano station and then Termini. Very quick and convenient because once you get out of the Colosseo train station, you will see the Colosseo instantly. We were really surprised when we got out of the train station. It is magnificent, breathtaking and will leave you in awe.
We were not able to purchase tickets for the tour of the inside of Colosseo but the trip to this historical fortress is just as amazing so we are fine without the tour inside.
I would suggest booking the same hotel that we booked - at Les Chambres d' so you will also conveniently get to commute going to Colosseo and also visit the Vatican Museum when you are in Rome. I also highly suggest spending at least three or four days in Rome alone so you can really explore this beautiful city. For us, it was just a short trip as we are actually going to our final destination which is Stockholm in Sweden but next time we will stay longer in Rome or the whole country Italy. #colosseo #rome
Rome, where every place you pass by is beautiful 🇮🇹🍕🍝
Rome, the center of Italy, is the best city to travel on foot.
Even if you walk a little, you will be overwhelmed with new history,
so you won't have time to look around.
It is best to rent an audio guide and learn about the history while viewing it,
but it is also okay to take in as much as you can with your eyes and understand it in detail.
Since the driver's seat is located in the same position as in Korea,
if you have difficulty moving around,
I recommend renting a car 👍#Rome ##Cafe recommendation #Couple #Hiking
Colosseum, my personal photo spot recommendation!!!!
👉🏻How to take a picture of yourself in the crowded Colosseum
Turn your back to the Colosseum and go up the hill
*Turn around at the entrance of Para Romano!
Even during peak season, there are very few people,
so you can take pictures as if you were the only one in the Colosseum.
If you take a picture in front of the Colosseum, you won't be able to see the Colosseum at a glance,
and there will be a lot of people passing by,
so be sure to find this spot and take a picture :)

A trip to the Colosseum in Rome can be exciting and overwhelming at the same time, even for people who have been there before. The Colosseum is huge. Plus, it has tonnes of history behind it.
For my trip I spend an hour or two exploring the monument. As the Colosseum is very hung and many thing to explore. One of the most interesting facts about Colosseum is that it is home to the largest amphitheater ever built in the world.
You can also opt for a tour of the Hypogeum or the underground section. Highly recommend if you love history or anything Roman.
Tip: Remember to buy the ticket well in advance and also buy from the official site .#tripblazers #fallingforfall
