I travel to Taitung quite often🏞. One time when I was riding a bicycle in Chihshang, I found this place that looked like a cafe. Transportation and Environment The Chishang Story Museum is located near the train station, making it very convenient to reach by foot. The interior design is filled with railway ambiance, with seating areas designed as train seats and even a real train carriage beside it, allowing visitors to experience dining on a train. Lunchbox Experience The main attraction here is the steaming hot Chishang lunchbox. However, since it was close to closing time, the options were limited, and we could only order the signature style. The lunchbox had a variety of ingredients and even included a plum, adding a layered flavor. However, the meat was a bit dry and tough, and personally, I prefer the Guanshan lunchbox. Shop and Souvenirs Besides lunchboxes, the museum also sells many products related to the local farmers' association. If you're looking for souvenirs, you can browse around here. But our main focus this time was the lunchbox, and after a quick meal, we were ready to head back!

Do you visit tourist factories every time you go to Taitung? I recommend Chihshang to every gourmet. The food here is something you absolutely cannot miss. In fact, when talking about Chihshang, the first thing that comes to everyone’s mind is the Chihshang bento, because the unique chewy and fragrant taste of Chihshang rice makes people’s appetites grow, so everyone can’t stop eating it. In addition to the three most famous bento shops, Wu Tao, Quan Mei Xing, and Xiang Xiang, I especially recommend the local hot stir-fry 😆 Haha, don’t you find it a bit strange that I didn’t recommend the bento boxes that the locals love to eat? That’s because there are only a few dishes in the bento boxes. But for me, the most delicious thing in Chihshang is the rice! So the hot stir-fried dishes that can allow me to eat two extra bowls of rice attract my attention more. I have eaten at many stir-fry restaurants here. I didn't specify any because I feel that I haven't been disappointed so far. I highly recommend a restaurant that serves stir-fried seafood because this place is close to the sea and the mountains. The food is extremely fresh and paired with rice, I really eat three bowls of it in a row. Most of the shops here are small, and many of them don’t have names. If you are not content with just simple bento dishes like me, go to a few more shops nearby and ask the boss if they use Chihshang rice before entering. If they do, you can go in. The chance of making a bad decision is low. It is also recommended to eat at a few shops in a row. There will always be one that suits your taste 😆 Wutaochi Shang Lunch Bag Cultural Story Museum is a great place to take a walk and take some beautiful photos after a meal. If it is difficult to order dishes for one or two people, we recommend eating bento. If there are more people, we recommend eating at seafood restaurants or small shops. This food town will really not let you down!
