| Hidden Gems Around Milan. This August has been quite busy! I promised my two sisters that we would go to the beach again before the end of the summer vacation. Their requirement was that it should be close to Milan and have a sandy beach. In July, we went to the south of France, but my sisters didn't enjoy the pebble beach and didn't have much fun. So, I looked at the northern and southern coastlines near Milan on Google Maps to find a sandy beach and finally settled on Chioggia. This city is a complete mini version of Venice, and it even has a mini version of the Rialto Bridge 😆. At dusk, we stumbled upon a seafood snack bar called Bacato fryto, where many people were queuing. It was the first time we tried various fish-filled pastries. Except for the mussel soup, which was quite ordinary, everything else was super delicious and didn't disappoint. We still miss it 😋. The nearby beach has very fine sand, which the kids loved. They could finally build sandcastles. Moreover, the water is shallow, even up to about 50 meters deep, making it very child-friendly. The downside is that it's near a lagoon and many river mouths, so the water is greenish with lots of seaweed and reeds, not very clear and clean. However, for a spontaneous weekend short trip, it deserves a score of 90 😝. Come here and experience the charm of the low-cost version of Venice! 💖
