Secret bar, temple fair, in the heart of Yaowarat
#Post for good luck #Mintrastory #Point out #Secret bar
New landmark in the heart of Yaowarat
🍷 Dare to say, go all out "Von Ban Bar"
Thai style, temple fair feel, open the shop with dancers
🎨 Content lovers must not miss, the shop is very well decorated
Inside, outside painted with applied Thai art
Yant pattern, Nang Kwak, very detailed, the owner painted it herself because she graduated in art, familiar from the famous oyster shop on TikTok
🥩 Let's talk about drinks and food
The cool thing is the name, and the serving, the decoration
Comes as a tray, incense, candles, the food is like offerings 55+
But I have to say that everything is delicious, but my favorite is
🥠 Fried chicken tendons, grilled pork neck that the owner grills in front of the shop
And each drink's name
🍸Von Ban, Nang Ram, Siam Ruby, Phuang Sawan
But there is also a craft beer in a 90s refrigerator that is super classic.
Let's try it.
🚙 If you drive, park in Soi Texas, which is the closest. Look for the Krung Thai Bank in front of the alley. Walk in and it's on the right. It's very prominent.

Rabbit Hill - hidden speakeasy bar
📍- Yaowarat District. 1 Thanon Santiphap, Pom Prap, Pom Prap Sattru Phai, Bangkok
⏰ - 5pm to 12am
Ambiance - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Highlights - craft beers
Avg. Price per Person - 200฿
Rating - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We chanced upon this quaint little bar while on our way to Chinatown Yaowarat for dinner. And we popped by after a hearty seafood dinner for some drinks & snacks to chill the night away.
Rabbit Hill was a pleasant surprise once you enter the unassuming little red door. You’ll be greeted by live band and a sea of red. The interior decor is filled with red accents, dim lights, and packed with customers. It is a loft, we sat at the first floor so we can enjoy the live band.
They have a good selection of draft beers, beers on tap and crafts beers! No cocktails or mocktails. They also serve a good selection of Chinese and Thai finger food to go with your beers.
It is hard to hail a cab as the streets are pretty dark and quiet. Do get a grab or indriver on app before leaving the bar.

Magical Chinatown at Bangkok!
Bangkok Chinatown is the largest Chinatown in the world. It is also, quite arguably, one of the best Chinatowns to visit as well. While many countries have Chinatowns, none compare to Bangkok’s
Getting There - the best way to get to the heart of Chinatown is to take the MRT subway to the Hua Lamphong stop. Take exit one and you will be a short walk from Wat Traimit. You will also be a short taxi ride from the other must-see destinations in Bangkok's Chinatown.
Attractions - Wat Traimit and Wat Mangkon Kamalawat are two temples found in Bangkok Chinatown. Wat Traimit, also known as the Temple of the Golden Buddha, houses the world’s largest gold statue. This statue is on the fourth floor of the temple, surrounded by beautiful Thai architecture. Wat Mangkon Kamalawat is Bangkok’s largest Chinese-Buddhist temple, with roots that go all the back to 1872.
Hotels - Some of the best Chinatown / Yaowarat hotels in Bangkok are:
ASAI Bangkok Chinatown Traveler rating: 5.0/5
Shanghai Mansion Bangkok Traveler rating: 4.5/5
W22 by Burasari Traveler rating: 4.5/5
Food & Restaurants - If you love seafood, then Chinatown is the place to be in Bangkok. Head to the famous Yaowarat Road after dark to find some of the best eats in the city. If you are not sure where to begin, just follow the crowd. If you see a herd of Thais eating at a certain stall, it is most likely because of the amazing food. Fai-Kaew Yao Wa-Rat is one seafood stall that draws in some of Bangkok’s biggest crowds. There are numerous dishes to choose from, including stir-fried crab and sweet and sour shrimp. The cook is a crowd pleaser, shooting flames high into the air while diners look on.

Thailand China Town
In Thailand there is a big place called Chinatown which most of the people are Thai and Chinese. this is the best place for you to go at night time. Along the street mostly the very happy thing to see is eating. Most of the people come here to drink and eat seafood. Also you can have some Chinese cake and Chinese noodle. I really love to eat the food here. in order to come here you can trade MRT which is underground train or come by bus.

Sister Da pickled crab and pickled shrimp
#GetDiscountWithoutLuck
I never get disappointed every time I come here. The ingredients are very fresh, including crab eggs, mantis shrimp, and spicy sauce that is perfect for those who like spicy food. The shop provides the sauce with sliced mango, garlic, and fresh chili for you to eat. The quality is good and the taste is good. It is worth the price.
It is worth buying. It is very delicious. The sauce is also well-made. In addition, the pickled crab, shrimp, mantis shrimp, and shellfish are clean and fresh every time. It is very delicious. It is even more delicious when eaten with seafood sauce. It is so spicy.
It is a roadside shop. If there are a lot of cars, you have to find a parking spot and walk to buy.
The price is not cheap or expensive. It is acceptable because it is delicious. I came at noon on Sunday. The queue is not very long. The shrimp are big. 1,000 baht per kilogram. The blue crab is 1,200 baht per kilogram. The shrimp are big and very fresh. The crab is also good. I like this pickled more than Korean pickled.

⛩️ Commonly known as the Thai-Chinese Cultural Archway, it is located at the site of the former fountain roundabout or 'Odeon Circle'.
📍 Located on Tri Mit Road, Talat Noi Subdistrict, Samphanthawong District, Bangkok, before entering Yaowarat Road.
⛩️ This archway is built in Chinese architectural style, with most materials imported directly from China.

"Je Kung" Roast Pork Wonton Noodles, delicious and close to Wat Mangkon
Today we made merit at Leng Noei Yi Temple, or as we are familiarly known as "Wat Mangkon". After we made merit, we went to find something delicious to eat. We found a noodle shop called Je Kung Wonton. It is a small shop in front of the entrance of Charoen Chai Community. It is a wonton noodle shop with grilled pork. If you walk past it, you will see that there are many people waiting to eat. When we tried it, we knew why it was so delicious. The grilled pork and wonton were very good. If we have a chance to go to that area again, we will definitely stop by to eat again.

Sāw Paed Thanwa ซาวแปดธันวา “Chinatown Bangkok: A Sea of Red for Chinese New Year Celebrations”
#favouriteitinerary Chinatown in Bangkok, particularly during Chinese New Year, transforms into a vibrant sea of red and gold, creating a festive and lively atmosphere. The streets are adorned with countless red lanterns, hanging high above, swaying gently in the breeze. Vibrant red banners with gold calligraphy bearing good wishes and blessings for the new year line the streets, welcoming visitors with a sense of prosperity and joy. Giant red arches are set up at key intersections, often embellished with intricate dragon and phoenix motifs, symbolizing luck and fortune.
Shops and stalls are decorated with red paper-cuttings, colorful floral displays, and golden ingots, filling the air with excitement and anticipation. The streets are also lined with ornamental red and gold trimmings, creating an immersive experience that transports visitors into a world steeped in tradition. The overwhelming use of red, a color symbolizing happiness, good luck, and wealth, adds to the celebratory spirit, while the scents of traditional Chinese foods and the sounds of festive music and lion dances enhance the lively scene.
During this time, Chinatown becomes a dazzling mix of cultural heritage and modern energy, where every corner radiates the warmth and optimism of the Chinese New Year celebrations.
Yaowarat Rd.Yaowarat
Legendary landmark for Thais and foreigners, a source of famous and delicious food, snacks and drinks. Invite friends to come in a group. It's fun and enjoyable. You can share and taste every shop because there are so many foods. Each shop is delicious. We like to eat noodles. Almost every shop's noodles are delicious because they are original Chinese products. The price is not too expensive. We like to walk around and find something to eat almost every month. The colors at night are beautiful. My boyfriend is not good at taking pictures, but he took good pictures. 555 #Get a discount without relying on luck

Li Ti Miao Shrine
Li Ti Miao Shrine is located in the Yaowarat area on Plabplachai Road, Pom Prap Subdistrict, Pom Prap Sattru Phai District, about 100 meters from the Plabplachai Police Station. It was built by the Hakka Chinese and is a Taoist shrine. The shrine is notable for its Qing Dynasty Chinese architecture. After a fire caused damage, the Chinese Association in Thailand restored and renovated it. The architecture now blends elements of Chinese shrines and palaces. Most people come here to pray for love, to find a partner, or for their existing relationships to be successful. Additionally, the shrine is well-known for health-related blessings. Visitors can shake a bamboo cylinder to receive a health and medicine fortune. The number drawn can be taken to the medicine dispensing room, where a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner will provide herbal remedies. Donations for the medicine are accepted based on faith. This shrine is also a place where people can perform rituals to ward off bad luck.
Leng Buai Ya Shrine
This shrine is a shrine of the Teochew Chinese group.
It is located at 125 Soi Charoen Krung 16, Samphanthawong Subdistrict, Samphanthawong District. This shrine was built during the reign of King Rama III.
Inside the shrine, there is an altar to worship Leng Buai Eia or the Dragon Tail God. On the left side is an altar to worship the God Guan Yu and on the right side is an altar to worship the Goddess of Heaven. There are pillars in the shape of a dragon coiling around them. On the right side near the door is an ancient bell that was built during the reign of Emperor Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty. The shrine itself is a Chinese architectural style. It is a single building with a large roof covered with colored glazed tiles. There are two dragons facing each other on top.
The community around Leng Buai Eia Shrine is a fresh market, which is opposite the old market on Yaowarat Road, which is bustling and popular with tourists. #Shrine #Yaowarat

Had a fun night exploring and walking the streets of Chinatown. Never visited in the evening before and it turned out to be a great decision.
The streets were busy and there were lots of street food and restaurant choices. Food and desserts we had there were all good.
Visited a temple in the outskirts of Chinatown and had an experience donating “coffin”. Overall a great experience and night out! #chinatown #bangkok #thailand
pieces space
This is a cafe located on Song Wat Road. It's a small, cozy place with a lovely and friendly owner. The cafe is called pieces space, and it features a signature dish of coconut ice cream sandwiched between bread. It's incredibly delicious and a must-try for anyone visiting. Besides the signature dish, there are also a variety of drinks to choose from. It's another cafe that I highly recommend.

Take the MRT to Yaowarat
.. Start by getting off the MRT at Wat Mangkon Station and take Exit 3 on the Wat Mangkon side.
.. Wat Mangkon Kamalawat is located in the heart of Yaowarat, one of the largest “Chinatowns” in the world. Teochew Chinese people migrated from China to settle here since the reign of King Rama I. Until the reign of King Rama V, Yaowarat Road was built.
.. Wat Mangkon Kamalawat or Leng Noei Yi Temple is a famous temple among Thai-Chinese people and Chinese people from abroad. Most of them like to travel to worship and ask for blessings for good luck, including warding off bad luck for those born in the unlucky year each year.

Nong Kai Nong Kao Grilled Squid Yaowarat
Grilled squid shop in Yaowarat area is a prominent shop filled with a large pile of squid. From afar, you can see the squid coming out to tempt you to try the grilled squid. It's not surprising why it's a famous shop because just the decoration of the shop's front is enough to make you want to stop by.
But to be honest, the queue for this shop is very long. But they have good management. You don't have to wait for more than 20 minutes before you can get cooked squid for you to try.
Personal opinion: The grilled squid tastes good. There's no fishy smell at all. The squid meat is sweet and delicious. But I was disappointed with the squid tendons. They were tough and almost impossible to chew.
In terms of the taste of the dipping sauce, it's very delicious and spicy. It's suitable for those who like spicy food. Personally, I don't like spicy food. So I could only eat a few pieces of squid. I ordered 3 types of squid. In the end, I could only eat 2 pieces of each. 🤣

Sāw Paed Thanwa ซาวแปดธันวา Jin's Clam, Aunt Jin's Boiled Clams, Texas Alley
Another famous old shop in Yaowarat area, which focuses on selling shellfish in particular, whether it's cockles, mussels or oysters, there are many to choose from.
Prices start at 150 baht per plate, mussels 100 baht each. The price may be a bit expensive, but you get the freshness of every shellfish.
On the day I went to eat, I can say that the oyster set was very good, very impressive, delicious, but the sauce still felt a bit spicy because it might be the shop's own sauce recipe, which some people might like this taste. It's like adding a little peanut and a little sweet. But I was a little disappointed that my niece didn't ask how much we wanted to boil the cockles. It was served with the cockles still red. Eating it made me feel a bit sick, and I didn't dare to ask for more boiling (even though I was the one who paid, I don't know why I didn't dare 😅). Overall, it was okay, but I would like to see the sauce adjusted a bit. If the sauce is spicy, It should be able to cut the greasiness of the shellfish.
