Aunt Sriwai Kitchen, a local restaurant in Chiang Saen
Pa Sriwai Khao Soi is a popular local restaurant in Chiang Rai. Their signature dish is the Chiang Rai Nam Ngiao or Chiang Hai Nam Ngiao, which has a stronger flavor than other northern provinces. But today, we will review 4 of their signature dishes:
🧏♀️ Let me tell you, as soon as you step into the restaurant, you will smell the aroma of Nam Ngiao. Especially when you see that the restaurant uses a clay pot to cook the food, it makes it look even more delicious. The restaurant's Khao Soi is incredibly delicious. The Nam Ngiao is rich, fragrant with spices, and has a well-rounded flavor. The Khao Soi noodles are chewy and soft, and the blood doesn't smell fishy. Eat it with fried buffalo skin and sprinkle with spring onions and coriander. It's so delicious that you'll finish the whole bowl. 😋
🥢 The restaurant's chicken Khao Soi is also a signature dish that you can't miss. The Khao Soi soup has a strong and spicy flavor, fragrant with spices, stewed chicken until soft and tender, and the Khao Soi noodles are chewy and soft. Eat it with side dishes like shallots, pickled mustard greens, and fried chilies. It's so delicious! 👌
🫡 It's very difficult to find someone to make this dish deliciously, but!!! Aunt Sriwai's shop gives more than 5 🌟. The taste is very delicious. The rice is not hard and you can eat it alone. The seasoning is just right. Suitable for all ages. In addition to being delicious, it is also rich in nutritional value. It is often sold with Khanom Chin menu. Oh!!! You can eat it with Khanom Jeen Nam Ngiao for another delicious taste.
🍿 Khanom Khao Tor is an ancient Shan dessert made from steamed sticky rice, pounded until fine, mixed with sugarcane juice and boiled until well blended. Spread into thin sheets, dry, and roast in a clay pot until puffed up. Let it cool and pour over the sugarcane juice that has been boiled all over. Khanom Khao Tor has a fragrant, sweet, and creamy taste. The more you eat, the more enjoyable it becomes.
👍 Overall, I am very impressed with the taste of all the food at Aunt Sriwai's Khao Soi. Every menu that I have tried is delicious and delicious. The price is not expensive. If anyone has the chance to visit Chiang Saen District, Chiang Rai Province, don't forget to stop by and try the delicious food at this shop.

เที่ยวได้กิน-กินได้เที่ยว The magical Golden Triangle! It's revived!
Originally it was a temporary trip to Chiang Mai, Thailand, but because the journey was too sudden and it was during the holiday, we only booked a hotel in Chiang Mai for one night. And there are too many people in Chiang Mai! We decided to go to the Golden Triangle for a tour on the spur of the moment.
The Golden Triangle, a place that sounds terrifying and makes people shiver, I went there out of curiosity this time. To be honest, I have no idea where the Golden Triangle is, it's a place in the legend. I always feel that it must be full of danger. When I was in the media, I interviewed people who drove there and they told me it was actually a very simple place.
The Golden Triangle, the Mekong River, I believe in many people's inherent impression, it is always a mysterious and controversial place, and very few people have actually been to the Golden Triangle. This time I chose the Chiang Rai line, also to be able to take a look here.
In the prosperous north of Thailand, the Mekong River cruise in the Golden Triangle is a safe and popular tourist project. The parking lot is full of tour buses and business cars, and the streets on both sides of the dock are full of souvenir shops and food stores.
Incredible Mekong Skywalk
This place just takes my breath away! I guarantee that this is the best observation deck on the Mekong and it is just fantastic. Mekong Skywalk is located 5 kilometers from the town of Chiang Saen near the Nimit Chedi Temple. Otsula is perfectly visible both Thailand and Laos, which lies on the other side of the Mekong River.
Tips for visiting: you can't get here by public transport, so either take a tuk-tuk, or try to rent a bike in Chiang Saen. The cost of visiting the observation room is 40 baht per person.

Golden Triangle: Thai, Lao, Myanmar border
The golden triangle has an amazing display of giant buddhas, elephants and other sacred religious articles to see while looking out over the mostly barren Laos and Myanmar borders. Impressive as they are the history behind the region is explained in part in the opium museum across the street a short walk away.
I recommend first visiting the opium museum then walking over to the golden triangle to see the display. #thailand #temple #chiangrai #goldentriangle #buddha #museum
Three Countries At A Glance @ Golden Triangle Park
The Gold Triangle is a tourist spot with a temple right beside it. The site overlooks the Mekong River which borders with Laos and Myanmar, as well as Thailand. It's interesting to see how busy it can be at times. If you're interested in visiting the other countries, simply hop on the boat rental service...be sure to bring your passport.
LOCATION: Golden Triangle Park, Wiang, Chiang Saen District, Chiang Rai 57150, Thailand
Getting there:
We booked a private van which brought us here as well as a few other places.
No entrance free.

Mekong River Cruise at the Golden Triangle
Take mom to worship at the Golden Triangle and have a chance to go on a boat trip. There will be a guide to tell us where we are. Head to the Burmese side first. What's on the right side? What's on the left side? Then turn around to the Laos side. Take a stop at the Laos market. Go up and buy a ticket. No need to use a passport or any card. Just tell them how many people there are and pay 30 baht per person. Give 30 minutes to visit the market and the park next to the market. Open a new experience with Lao beer. It's really good. 😋🍻😋 Whoever goes north, go all the way to the Golden Triangle. 🙏🏻

Visit Phra That Pha Ngao in Chiang Rai
Wat Phra That Pha Ngao is located in Chiang Saen district. It is an important ancient temple in Chiang Rai province, featuring the beautiful Phra That Pha Ngao. 'Pha Ngao' refers to the shadow of a large rock or stone that resembles a tall pagoda and provides excellent shade. Locals thus call it Phra That Pha Ngao. It is believed that this stupa was built between 494-512 AD by Khun Pha Phing, the 23rd ruler of Yonok city.
Besides Phra That Pha Ngao, there are many other interesting places such as Phra Chedi Chet Yot, Phra Chedi Chom Chan, the vihara housing the Buddha statue Luang Pho Pha Ngao, Phra That Phuttha Nimit, and the beautifully decorated Phra That Pha Ngao gate.

Phra That Pha Ngao
Phra That Pha Ngao is situated on a large rock. The term 'Pha Ngao' means the shadow of the rock. This large rock is shaped like a pagoda, and when the sun shines through it, it creates a large shadow. Therefore, the locals call it Phra That Pha Ngao. It also features the longest skywalk in the northern region.

Tree Top Dining Experience.
Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort is located in northern Thailand, surrounded by lush jungle, and is a paradise for naturalists. The hotel recently launched a tree top dining experience—Canopy, this innovative dining concept not only reflects the hotel's consistent emphasis on ecology, but also promotes local authentic delicacies.
Canopy is located 52 meters above the grassland and overlooks the Golden Triangle in 360 degrees. The open capsule dining design reminds people of local beehives, and natural materials and soft earth tones provide guests with a quiet haven. Here, only the symphony of the forest echoes in the ears, and the endless natural scenery is in sight.
In the early morning, guests can observe the vigorousness of the mountains with binoculars, including the elephant group in the hotel camp; at lunch time, the jungle is full of vitality in the sun, which makes people more appetite and enjoy the food from all over the world; at dusk, Canopy has also become an excellent place to watch the sunset under the warm afterglow.
Canopy offers an all-day menu and serves dishes in traditional, natural trays, achieving a perfect balance between sweet and delicious and high-end and exquisite. The Mekong Discovery menu pays tribute to the traditional cuisine of the Golden Triangle region, including Laotian seaweed with yellowfin tuna salad and Chiang Rai curry pork with toast.
Culinary Adventure combines Eastern tradition and Western innovation. The representative dishes include tender Wagyu cowboy bone with handmade bread rolls, Phuket lobster buns with local avocado, Royal Projects (local charity organization) roasted figs with cream pudding, and local strawberries with mint puffs. The Gourmet Odyssey menu features luxury ingredients such as M5 Wagyu, king scallops and Royal Projects caviar, and desserts include orange-flavored financiers, rose pumpkin mousse and caramelized coconut cream pudding.
The hotel's executive chef, Mr. Pisit 'Jino' Jinopong, said: "The core experience of the Golden Triangle Elephant Camp Anantara Resort is a deep connection with the environment, such as daily interaction with our rescued elephants, jungle trekking and even dining. Canopy not only expresses our concern for the ecological environment, but also allows guests to interact with nature in an intimate and nurturing way."
The price of the Canopy tasting menu starts at 14,000 baht (approximately RMB 2,977) per pair of guests (two people). Breakfast time is from 7:00 to 11:30 in the morning, lunch time is from 12:30 to 4:30 in the afternoon, and sunset dinner time is from 5:30 to 7:00 in the evening.
Wat Phra That Chom Kitti
Wat Phra That Chom Kitti is a beautiful and tranquil place. It features a stunning stupa, surrounded by nature, trees, flowers, and the sounds of birds and crows. The cool breeze makes it comfortable even during the day. There is a convenient path leading up to the stupa. The main Buddha statue is magnificent. You can drive up to the stupa or, if you prefer some exercise and sightseeing, you can walk up the Naga staircase.

A must-visit tourist destination in Chiang Rai is the 'Golden Triangle'. The highlight of this place is definitely the view of all three countries: Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar.
Here, there is a large Buddha statue called the Phra Buddha Nawa Lan Tue, which is a newly constructed statue for locals and tourists to worship. (The original statue, believed by locals to be submerged in the Mekong River.) There is also a pier for tourists to enjoy the view of the Mekong River, and you can even take a boat to the Laos side.
