Chester’s finest
One of Chester’s taglines is the fact that its Victorian clock tower holds the title of the second most photographed clock in the United Kingdom. Despite the fact that you may hear this at least once on your visit, doesn’t mean that there’s not much else to do.
Here are some of our tips
- visit the new market hall, with a wide range of street food options available.
-walk the cities walls both for the views of the city and also to gain an insight into the cities history.
-take time to relax at the city’s meadows alongside the River Dee

Walked through this amazing trench, towards the main campus. I'll be posting more of these images.
History of Trench:
Prince Rupert's Trench in Chester is a fascinating historical site that traces its origins back to the English Civil War. Named after Prince Rupert of the Rhine, a royalist commander, this trench was part of the fortifications used during the siege of Chester in the 17th century. Today, it offers visitors a glimpse into Chester's rich military history, tucked away within the city's ancient walls. It's a must-see for history enthusiasts, providing a tangible link to the past in this iconic English city.
