Very beautiful island. Less than hour by ferry from land and you’re in paradise. Amazing nature, very quiet place. You can rent a bicycle or order electro cab to explore the island or just walk around by your own. At Main Street which is near the pier a lot of restaurants with fresh seafood. If you want to stay here more you can easily find a place to stay, a lot of small hotels near the pier. Really amazing place, highly recommended for visiting.#istanbul #Büyükada

#September2024 When you come to Istanbul, you must visit its outlying islands. This time the recommendation is Buyukada Island. The island is located in the Marmara Sea, the smallest ocean in the world. It’s just over an hour’s boat ride from Istanbul. It was the place where the Ottoman Empire exiled noble princes at that time. After the end of the Ottoman Empire, wealthy people rushed to buy villas here. This place has become the back garden of Istanbul residents, where locals spend weekends and escape the heat in the summer. It is recommended to take a walk around Buyukada Island. Strolling along the tree-lined path leading to the sea, the sea breeze caresses your hair, the mottled shade of the trees, the fresh air, the quiet island, and the unique tranquility. The sunlight scattered through the leaves and the coolness brought by the sea breeze, such beautiful scenery will still be remembered many years later. The first and second islands you go to have beaches, so they are tourist destinations that many locals visit for vacation or healing. Today, we are going to walk to the observation deck at the top of Byukidda Island. If you are traveling independently like me, I recommend that you hurry up and prepare your travel plan a little early. It takes about 4 hours for a round trip.
