2026 Bracknell Travel Guide: must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transport & travel experiences (updated in February)

Daruchini Restaurant. A popular Indian restaurant in Binfield, Bracknell, serving many traditional curry and rice dishes. Set within an old cottage with low ceilings, (tall people have to stoop to avoid banging heads!) with plenty of parking off the main road. It was very busy on Sunday when they opened at 1pm due to their delicious Sunday buffets. A large group of people had already been waiting outside for them to open. Used to have to bring your own beverages but they now have a licence to sell alcohol so drinks are available. Seems like they may have changed owners in the last year as they were more friendly, approachable, professional and cleaner than before, along with the new licence. Food was excellent as before; chicken superb and the sauces delicious! Waiter was very good, so we made sure our tip went to him directly. Definitely recommend a visit whether ordering set dishes or going for the buffet.#indianfood

This is a very unique countryside hotel with an amazing atmosphere, almost like a resort. I’ve stayed here twice, and each visit has left me with the same impression: this is a stunning property with enormous potential. From the moment you arrive, the experience feels special. Driving into the hotel, you pass along a long private road that leads straight to the entrance, creating a sense of exclusivity and calm. The building itself feels more like a large mansion, with a slightly fairytale-like charm, surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. The interior design is quite new, but personally, I feel it doesn’t fully reflect the true character and atmosphere of the hotel. The setting and exterior suggest something more immersive and elegant, and with the right design direction, the interiors could better match the magic of the surroundings. I tried both afternoon tea and dinner during my stay. Unfortunately, the food did not quite live up to the atmosphere of the hotel. While the prices are very reasonable, the quality is not yet at a true hotel standard. That said, the pricing does seem to reflect the level of food being offered, so expectations should be set accordingly. With improvement in ingredients, presentation, and consistency, the dining experience could become a real highlight. In terms of service, the staff are friendly, but not yet at a professional hotel level. This is another area where some refinement and training could significantly elevate the overall guest experience. Overall, this is a beautiful hotel in a breathtaking environment, and that’s why it feels slightly disappointing to see its potential not fully realised yet. With better interior design choices, improved food quality, more professional service, and added facilities such as a swimming pool or spa, I truly believe this hotel could become a standout destination—and even go viral. At the moment, it’s a lovely place to visit, but with the right investment and direction, it could be something truly exceptional

I strongly suggest a visit to Lahangan Sweet, especially at sunrise. The trip there adds to the adventure, but the view from the top makes it all worthwhile. You'll enjoy a sweeping view of Mount Agung and the surrounding scenery, often with a 'sea of clouds' below. There are numerous photo spots, including a tiny wooden platform and a swing, made for capturing that perfect Instagram photo. Be sure to arrive early to grab a great spot. The entrance fee is low, and nearby local warungs offer drinks and snacks if needed.

Morrisons cafe, Bracknell. We quickly stopped off at the cafe in Morrisons after a shop for a Mocha coffee. Seemed very clean and well organised, staff were efficient and quick. The Mocha tasted good and was a reasonable price compared to the more expensive coffee shops.

The Lexicon, Bracknell. The Lexicon shopping centre in the heart of Bracknell seems very new with many famous name shops, cinema complex, cafes, banks, fast food franchises and supermarket. High glazed roofs cover wide malls, nicely designed with plant boxes enclosing outside dining areas in front of restaurants and life size models of animals down the middle. There are open plazas too, all interlinked with the malls with stairways where many office workers eat their lunch. All appears very clean, well kept and safe. Did not see any aggressive or threatening behaviour from people here as would in the centre of London. All in all, we’ve had many a pleasant walk around here and finished in restaurants in the evenings like Zizzi (Italian), Tang (Chinese ), Las Iguanas (Mexican) and The Real Greek. Highly recommend a visit if you’re in Bracknell!

This place is super nice and peaceful I found some nice matcha cafe and lovely place for my brunch which is 🕰️Business Hours: 7.30-15.00 for Sunday 💰Average Price per Person: £20 💞Reasons to Recommend:the service and servers are so lovely and helpful they recommend me the must place to look around also and we went to swanley for mountain bike not my fav sports but the place were incredible!!!!

My first experience watching movies in the UK! ✌️ I wanted to see The Wandering Earth, but there were so few showings. Seeing the Odeon Cinema, I jumped in! 📍Odeon Cinema This cinema in Bracknell is in a slightly run-down building. The lights on the first floor were off, and the escalators were cordoned off. You could easily mistake it for a dangerous building. 😹 But once inside, it was a completely different experience! The cinema was quite cool, with great lighting and a great atmosphere. The snacks, drinks, and other items for sale in the lobby also looked very nice. 🎬Movie Experience I have to say, British movie commercials are really long. The opening commercials lasted 20 to 30 minutes, and I had to finish my chips before the movie started. 🤣 The seats in the cinema were made of sofas and were quite wide, making them quite comfortable. However, the seating layout in the auditorium was a bit awkward. There was almost no height difference from the front seats, so even those with tickets in the back still had to look up to watch the movie, which made everyone's necks uncomfortable. #UKCinema #Bracknell

If you love shopping and live close to Bracknell, this place is a must-see! ❗️ It's packed with shops, including Boots, Waitrose, Poundland, Primark... It's a one-stop shop for everything you need, and the shops are all centrally located, so you don't have to walk a lot. 🚶‍♀️ There's also a lot of great food here. 🍴 We tried the Chinese buffet, which was essentially a mix of Asian dishes, but it was excellent. Overall, it's a great place to visit often. #bracknell
