This is a very well preserved crypt located under the basilica. It has impressive murals and paintings. Unlike many other museums here you can get close to the artefacts. It's also quite affordable especially when you get a combined ticket. I am surprised that this is not well promoted. I barely had a clue that there exists a crypt beneath the basilica that I was visiting. It's a recommend. Boulogne was better than we exoected. This area of Old Boulogne where the basilica snd castel are, it is wonderful to walk around with cafes and shops to visit. If you get a combined ticket for the castle and the church. It is even more affordable. The cathedral has a peaceful atmosphere. Makes for a relaxing stop. The cathedral is surrounded by gardens. Plenty of parking available behind the Notre Dame and I noticed a toilet too. #100WaysOfTravel an awesome day in Boulounge-Sur-Mer on the coast of the north of France, went to visit the #Nausicaa aquarium, with what I’m told is the biggest fish tank in Europe. Loads of interesting fish and interactive experiences. The highlight for me was this absolutely ginormous Manta Ray, followed up by a fantastic Indian meal and several glasses of French wine!
