🌟When it comes to Beppu, the first thing that comes to mind is hot springs. Beppu boasts the highest hot spring output in Japan, second only to Yellowstone Park in the United States, ranking second in the world. With over two thousand spring sources, it truly is the world's number one. The hot springs in Beppu vary in quality and characteristics, which is a major attraction for tourists from all over the world.
🙋♀️Beppu Hell, also known as Beppu Hells or Beppu Jigoku, is located in the Kannawa and Kamegawa areas of Beppu. The name derives from the mysterious and ever-changing hot springs found here.

8️⃣ Cooking Pot Hell: Named 'kamado' (meaning kitchen) Hell because it uses geothermal heat to cook various ceremonial foods.
🔔 'Hell steaming' is a traditional cooking method that uses the steam from hot springs. Its history dates back to the Edo period (1603-1867) and is a healthy cooking method that significantly enhances the taste of food. Some hell hot springs sell specialty soft-boiled eggs and baked puddings, all cooked with the scorching steam of the hot springs.

Go to Japan and book this hotel for hot springs, the room comes with a hot spring pool that you can live in for a lifetime.
Beppu has amazing geothermal resources, and the famous "Eight Hells of Beppu" are a must-visit attraction. Moreover, there are few tourists here, so you can experience authentic Japanese culture.
👍Most recommended:
Shenheyuan looks like a traditional Japanese hot spring hotel, but its design incorporates modern minimalist lines. The courtyard and building blend Japanese and Nordic minimalist styles, and the furniture in the rooms is different from the typical pure tatami mats found in most hotels.
The room comes with a hot spring, so you can enjoy soaking in the hot spring and snacking in the room every day without going out. It's really enjoyable!
🌟Highlight features:
The hotel has only 30 rooms, without meals it costs 3500+rmb/night. Although it is only rated four stars, it is definitely of a standard beyond five stars.

Beppu is one of Japan's most famous hot spring resorts, producing more hot spring water than any other resort in the country.
Beppu offers an unmatched range of baths to be enjoyed, including ordinary hot water baths, mud baths, sand baths and steam baths. In addition, the Hells of Beppu are several spectacular hot springs for viewing rather than bathing.

Enjoy with colourful hot springs 🌸
#2023travelwish
I had the experience of travelling to Beppu.
Beppu is famous for its onsen (hot springs). Rather than bathing, there are hot springs for viewing also. And each one is formed different way and has different properties.
There are 7 hot springs known as ‘Hells of beppu’. If you have time, it is recommended to visit each of them.
There are also foot baths for the feet in these places. It is a great way to relax and it is recommended to take towels for your feet with you. At the same time , some places give towels to visitors.
Note: You don’t have to visit all of them. However, you have to pay the entrance fee for each of them. If you buy a packet , you can pay 2000 yen (15$) one time and can visit 7 hot springs. You can take the ticket from ticketing place at the entrance of any hot spring place.
As you can see with photos, this view is amazing and it deserves to be visited.
Colourful Hot Springs in Beppu
In the city of Beppu of Oita Prefecture, Kyushu, there are steaming hot springs which they call hells for viewing that are popular with tourists. Their unique appearances make the hot springs spectacular. Beppu is the second largest producer of geothermal water in the world.
The different types of hell are derived from the different types of water. Umi Jigoku, or Sea Hell in Japanese, is named for its vibrant cobalt blue waters surrounded by a small Japanese garden. The blue colour is the result of sunlight hitting the water surface. The water is so hot that clouds of steam constantly obscure its surface. Another hot spring that is interesting is the Chinoike Jigoku or Blood Pond Hell, named after the vibrant red colour of the steaming hot pond due to the iron in the water.
There is also a free foot bath for visitors who are tired from all the walking which comes from natural hot spring waters. This foot bath is truly a lifesaver to sit down and relax. In addition, they also sell food items boiled using the spring waters such as eggs.

Sea hell Oita Prefecture 👹
Umi Jigoku is the starting point of the tour of hell.
There is a parking lot right in front of you, but it fills up quickly.
I was able to park at 9am, but by 10am there was no space and a line had formed.
The inside was surprisingly spacious, which was nice.
I think Umi Jigoku was also beautiful, with the blue shining through it.
There is also a souvenir shop on-site, so it's a great tourist spot!

Let's go on a Japanese mart tour╰(*´︶`*)╯♡
Location: Marumia Store マルミヤストア
Location: 11-7 Ekimaecho, Beppu, Oita 874-0935
(Inside Beppu Station!)
I personally like looking around marts when I go to other countries! It's really fun to find out what locals eat, various ingredients, and differences from marts in our country!
So, I'll introduce you to the Beppu Station Marumia Store, which is the easiest to find during your trip to Beppu and is frequented by many locals!(*´꒳`*)
Beppu Station Marumia is a pretty big mart here, so it has two entrances! I went to the back (parking lot) so the entrance photo is a little darkㅠㅠ
If you go to the opposite entrance, there are bookstores, drugstores, 95 yen shops, hospitals, etc., so I personally recommend using the entrance that is connected to the station.
And the carts in Japanese marts are very small,, It's really less than half the size of Korean mart carts🛒,, If you plan to buy a lot, definitely use two baskets,,
Usually, if the price is written on yellow paper in the mart, it's a sale item, so it's a little cheaper than the regular price! There are also items that have a big price difference from the original price!
And of course, you can't miss the lunch box in Japan,,
The lunch boxes here are secretly delicious,, I personally recommend Chicken Namba(^O^)

#umi Jigoku is beautiful hells in #beppu #japan , the "sea hell" features a pond of boiling, blue water. In its spacious gardens, there are a few smaller, orange colored hells and a clear water pond with lotus flowers whose large leaves are strong enough to carry small children.

Here is a good place not many people know about. The viewpoint locates upper side of Kannawa Onsen town. From the Kannawa main buss station, it takes around 10 or 15 minutes walk, then you will see “uncountable” Onsen smokes. It is the very picture of Onsen town, amazing and great. If you are not sure of direction, you can get a map in a tourist infomation in front of Kannawa main bus station.
After the walk, you may be tired some, but no problem! The town have many Onsens! The view of the city is really nice. And you can really see where all the onsens are and that they really do have hot water.

Beppu is a city in Oita prefecture on the island of Kyushu, Japan. In Beppu there are more than one hundred hot springs. Beppu is the largest hot spring resort in western Japan, and nearby Yufuin, offer bathing and sightseeing spots as well as easy access to lakes and mountains. One of the most popular in Beppu is the Chi no ike Jigoku. Chi means blood, as you would expect, this makes the water look like blood and it makes a great spot to take some amazing photographs of one of the more unusual hells in Beppu.

By the way, everyone will come to Japan to do well, and say goodbye to the warmth of the cups.
Because Japanese people usually drink ice water, no matter how cold it is; hot water is only used to brew tea and coffee; there is no warm water.
Do you know how the temperature of up to 80 degrees is reduced to the level available at home? Of course, there is a very clever folk facility - the water tower!
is such a device, with bamboo branches layered, water is sent to the top, along a layer of bamboo branches, in contact with the air, the temperature is reduced to a usable level. Then use a pipe to transport to a home.
The local government has a large drying tower to transport to each household; the big inn will also have a model version for residents to visit.
The two meals in Qinghai are not available in the room, but depending on the variety selected, you need to go to different restaurants,
We choose traditional Japanese cuisine for dinner and Japanese breakfast.
Before we sat, the menu and tableware for the day was already set on the table.
A total of ten, including cherry blossoms and desserts: black sesame mousse.
After a full meal, shake the slightly drunken body, drag the less accustomed raft, go through the quiet path, and then go to the hot spring pool again, and then spend another hot spring with the companion.
The night is getting thicker, and we are soaked with the heat from the inside out.
Woke up, it was a good meal.
Two people in the ordinary room, one per day, about 50,000 yen.
There is a Japanese home shopping mall in the south of the hotel. It is very good, and there is also a domestic name. The translation name is Nidaly. The
hotel's fruit is very famous, with a separate foreign fruit shop 100 meters south. Very suitable for buying and enjoying. But in fact, eating hot spring dishes will be very full. I really hope that I have a stomach to buy fruit at the time.
Go to hell, you!
Hell Hot Springs in Beppu City, Oita Prefecture, Japan. The colors are rich and the temperature is strong. There will also be mud on the surface, and the bubbling will continue. The legendary lava transpiration is like this, so it is called Hell Spa~
