Free Vietnam! Mekong Delta⭐️ River Tour
🏖️Atmosphere/Facilities: Hotel pickup and drop-off, toilets available
📍Location: Apply at the tour desk in front of Ben Thanh Market
💰Price per person: $25
💞Reasons for recommendation: Japanese interpreter included, great value for money, fun even for solo travelers
The first country on my three-country trip was Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
It's more fun to go via Ho Chi Minh than a direct flight to Dubai, and the tickets are cheaper, so I decided to make a detour.
I recommend this to people who have time.
First, buy an international SIM card as soon as you arrive at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
There are several counters.
Once you get the SIM card, head to the taxi stand.
You'll be approached by a man trying to sell you something, and the process will be completed efficiently at the counter inside the airport.
I checked later and found out that the price was ridiculously high.
(Credit cards accepted)
However, I was tired and wanted to get to the hotel quickly, so it couldn't be helped.
The airport exit was overflowing with tourists
There was a long line of taxis, so I was glad I was able to get one.
I went to a small hotel near the large Ben Thanh Market.
I put my luggage down, took a shower, rested for a while, and then went for a walk.
On the way to the market, there are many cafes and diners, so I didn't have any problems.
I found several optional tour desks.
Among them, I found a cheap Mekong Delta River Tour with Japanese interpretation for $25.
Lunch & hotel transfer included
I was picked up at 8:30 and stopped by a beautiful temple on the way to the pier.
A seated Buddha statue with a plump face
There were stalls lined up around.
There was a coconut milk popsicle shop and a souvenir shop, and I got a glimpse of the local atmosphere
As soon as I arrived at the pier, I got on a big boat and headed for Nakajima.
There is a honey factory and a coconut palm caramel factory on Nakajima, which I visited in order.
You can taste and buy souvenirs there.
The coconut candy is wrapped in a wafer and has a simple taste.
You can buy honey from pea pollen and royal jelly.
The tour then goes to another island where the lunch venue is located. This time we change to a small boat and go through the bush.
It's like an attraction at Disneyland.
After passing through a forest full of fruit, listening to folk music, eating tropical fruits, and having lunch, we return to the hotel around 5pm.
It's such a good value that it makes me laugh.
I'm so happy to pay $25 for all this fun.
I was surprised to find out that the Mekong River is about 2km wide, and we were treated very well with a Japanese interpreter.
The lunch was so-so, but it was a very satisfying tour.
