A winter trip to the Summer Palace
Absolutely stunning!
We have visited many Chinese historical and cultural landmarks, but this has to be one of our favourites.
The park is massive and has many entrances/exits, which are easy to get to by all forms of transport.
As it is a famous location, this would definitely be a place to avoid during Chinese holidays. Although it is freezing in Beijing during the winter months, we think this is the best time visit. There were no crowds or noisy tour groups. The park was so serine and peaceful and the large glistening frozen lake was something special to behold.
If you are staying in Beijing, you must visit the Summer Palace. 😍

Best of Beijing!
China's capital city has so much to offer! Everyone must visit Beijing to explore the historical sites, climb the impressive Great Wall and experience the incredible culture! There is so much to see, do and eat that you need at least several days!
The most popular sites are the Forbidden City and the Great Wall - both are a must see! But don't forget to also explore the hutongs, the traditional narrow streets with the best food!
There are so many beautiful parks in the city - an enjoyable walk during the day. In the evenings you can see a Peking Opera or an acrobatic show. Or spend a day at the brand new Universal Studios!
Beijing has so many great options for tourism - everyone who visits just loves it!

Beijing: Historic and Cultural Tour
It seems like a given that no trip to China in complete without visiting the nation's capital. While attractions like the great wall of China and Universal Studios are worth your while, there's also so much to do in the city itself. Aside from having a thriving nightlife, awesome food, and the best shopping in China: Beijing has the true heart and culture of China ready for you to explore.
A trip to Beijing is incomplete without seeing Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden Palace. Here you can walk the same streets where emperors, princesses, and noblemen have walked centuries before. In this area you can't help but be transported to the centuriey of history and civilization that have passed through these streets, walked through these gates, and gazed at the same walls.
In the fall you can spend countless hours walking around Sanlitun and experience the best shopping China has to offer. They have all of the International and domestic brands you'd want to check out. If you're there and have a craving for Western food check out the red lobster or El Barrio for some authentic Mexican food that's delicious and reasonably priced (don't miss taco Tuesday). Theyve for half off tacos, 3 come to around 40RMB.
You can't forget to have Beijing Duck when you're there. While there are several fancy looking restaurants, the real deal are the hole in the wall spots that have been doing this for decades and don't change their recipe (or tables clearly). The place might not look as pretty but the food is always more delicious. My top recommendation is Li Qun roast duck restaurant. You won't be disappointed, trust me! For about 400RMB you can get a whole roast duck with all of the fixings!

Renaissance Wangfujing Fabulous, Restaurant
Renaissance Beijing Wangfujing Fabulous Restaurant
Located In
Renaissance Beijing Wangfujing Hotel, No.57 Wangfujing Main Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing China
We could not fault this hotel and loved our stay in Beijing. The staff were pleasant & always there to help -almost all of them spoke English and if didn't they would use their phone to translate. The restaurant offers delicious western al la carte menu....a little pricey but worth it. We are a family of four and we found that almost all hotels in Beijing do not offer two queen/double beds which means you have to get two separate rooms. The renaissance does offer one room with two double beds which suited us perfectly. The location was an easy 5-10 min walk from main shops in Wangfujing street. The hotel offers bottled water daily and fully stocked of toiletry supplies. The shower was amazing too. It was very clean and a very high standard...would definitely come back and stay here again. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay pleasant.
Food Studio is the lively hub of dining at the Renaissance Beijing Wangfujing Hotel - a modern all-day venue with buffets, live cooking stations and open show kitchens as well as a terrace space. A 'living' green wall underlines the focus on fresh, premium quality, organic ingredients. A large open bar likewise embraces fresh fruits for cocktails and mixers. Polished wooden flooring and panels, blackboard menus featuring daily specials create an earthy ambience, like dining within the kitchen itself. All-day dining venue features the freshest produce and chef's signatures ranges from traditional Spanish crispy suckling pig, slow cooked Australian ribs to premium seafood. On the drinks menu is serving fresh and healthy selections of smoothies, lemonade and selected wine list.

Beautiful Beijing
#beijing in #china has so much culture and history, and really worth visiting as there is so much to see.
For example, no trip is complete without a day trip to marvel at the Great Wall of China which is really just amazingly constructed winding all across the huge example of China some built even as early as 7th century BC.
Other historic places you can check out include the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, Tiananmen Square, Palace Museum etc just to name a few. Most attractions are easily accessible via the trains, and some are all within walking distance. Attractions may get really crowded so you may wish to go very early or late to avoid the crowds and groups.

Beijing, China
If there is one place to admire the chinese architecture will be Beijing. I have been visiting this city already 3 times and I wouldn’t mind to go back. There is so much to see and explore. The city is so different compared to Shanghai but that’s why I like it.
The forbidden city and temple of heaven are the most important things to visit among other touristic spots.
It is a must to visit these places and of course the Great Wall.
Even if I have been there more than once I still have a lot to explore and visit many other temples. I’d like to visit a different section of the wall too.
Beside that you can eat amazing Chinese food and for sure taste the most delicious Pecking duck!

The Sky temple
What is the feeling you get when entered a place that's more than 500 years old, I would say the it's a heavenly feeling. In a remarkable way, here we are in Beijing standing in front of the Temple of Heaven; what a coincidence haha 😂 To put in simple terms, this is the temple you have to go if you want to go to Heaven 💫 Yes, there is a stone located inside the temple after you #scenicspotguide et past this main temple; where you can see people are trying to stand or looks like stamping over each other 😜This stone 🪨 ensures your path to heaven, just on touch. Apart from that, this temple also meant for good harvests. It'll definitely get you a spiritual feeling. #couplestrip #

Visiting Badaling during autumn is an amazingly exciting thing. Beautiful natural scenery with colorful colors and rows of great walls that are amazing like a dragon's body swerving on a wide hill. Access to this place is not difficult, many public transportation can be used. In addition to presenting a beautiful view, here are also sold a variety of foods, so no need to worry if you feel hungry on the hill.

Tranquil Beijing Summer Palace
The historic summer palace in #unforgettableexperiences #beijing has a really tranquil ambience set in a vast and beautiful garden and lake compound.
It is definitely a palace for the former Emperors to relax all the way from the pre-Qing dynasty in 1153. Parts of it has been destroyed but majority of the gardens are still very beautifully preserved.
The huge Kun Ming lake and greenery all around makes the summer palace look very peaceful and it is definitely a place to visit if you have time and like to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
It is accessible via the subway, and do expect to do some walking due to the huge layout of the Summer Palace.

The Temple of Heaven Park, Tiantan in Chinese, is located in the Dongcheng District, Beijing. It is the largest and most representative existing masterpiece among China's ancient sacrificial buildings. Originally, the Temple of Heaven was the place where emperors of the Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty held the Heaven Worship Ceremony.

One of the great moments of my Beijing trip was to see the beauty of National Centre for the Performing Arts at the evening. It is also known as NCPA in short form. This egg shaped building is a sign of great modern architecture in China.

These are the sculptures of Qianmen Street located in Beijing China. This is one of the famous pedestrian streets of Beijing. A good number of tourists come to this street eveyday. Every sculpture presents different meaning. There is no entry fee to watch this. All the tourists are welcome here. The area is well-decorated.
