Came to Lourdes just to visit the Basilica and the Grotto. Really amazing vibe and silence. The place felt so solemn. As a Catholic, it was so interesting to see the place and where the miracles occurred. You also also see the plaques of the people who had thanked Lourdes for its healing powers. When coming here, do not forget to bring some Lourdes Bottles to take home some of the miraculous water.

Saint-Jean is the starting point of the French Way, the most popular Camino course for pilgrims. It is like a starting town for pilgrims, with a Camino office, shops selling pilgrimage supplies, and albergues all clustered together. From this town, you can complete the 800 km one-month journey by following the shells. Saint-Jean itself is a small town, so you can see most of it in an hour or two.
