Gunung Ijen
Indonesia’s iconic Sulfur Crater
Have you been to Ijen, located near Surabaya Indonesia? The big star of the show here is the AMAZING blue fire that glows bright in the dark. Too bad I couldn’t capture it in camera but it’s such a cool sight! It comes from the sulfur gases escaping from the volcano. You might need to wake up super early to catch this dazzling sight, but trust me, it's worth it!
When the sun rises, the views get even more breathtaking. You can see a stunning turquoise lake nestled in the crater of the volcano. And don't forget about the hardworking sulfur miners who brave the tough conditions to collect sulfur from the crater.
Ijen is a magical place full of wonder and adventure, perfect for anyone who loves nature and exciting experiences!

Hong Kong is a destination with culture, outdoors, nightlife, food and history! I want to travel to Hong Kong to view the skyline from Victoria Peak, take in the view from ICC, visit the fishing village of Tai O and...so much more!

Beware the Blue Fire!
Kawah IJEN is a unique volcano in East Java, Indonesia. Its claim to fame is its gorgeous blue fire, but also its acidic crater lake, and the labour-intensive sulphur mining that takes place there, which is an eye-opener. The climb up Mount Ijen is in itself a torture, but the view at the top is priceless! A stunning aquamarine crater that sputters every now and again! But beware! This beauty emanates toxic gas!

A place to eat in Banyuwangi with a rural concept. The location is about 10 minutes from Banyuwangi city station, in the tourist village area of Osing. The place is very spacious with a beautiful view of the rice fields. There is a stage in the form of a unique Gandrung Dance crown.
⠀
The food menu is really typical of Osing Banyuwangi. There are tempong rice, salad soup, spicy chicken, pecel pitik, tofu walik etc. We can eat in a shack on the edge of a cool rice field. Here you can also take photos wearing Gandrung dancer costumes. Then on weekends there are also gamelan performances and Gandrung dance.

Kokoon Hotel Banyuwangi
#2023travelwish
the Kokoon hotel which is the newest hotel in Banyuwangi. the location is about 25 minutes from the port of Ketapang, and generally many people transit at this hotel before continuing their journey to Bali. we stayed here specifically to enjoy the services and facilities of the hotel. Entering this hotel is quite memorable, clean and comfortable. Incidentally this time is not too crowded so you can feel calm. Last Christmas we tried to stay here again, and the atmosphere was very different. very crowded, it also just feels that the room is not soundproof, very disturbed by the sound above the room, rattling chairs, footprints walking around above the room. stay here when it's not the holiday season is just okay. the indoor pool, spa and massage facilities are okay, it's just strange that payments can only by cash or transfer directly to the therapist's account not to the hotel and without proof of transaction. maybe the different management outside of hotel.

Aston Hotel Banyuwangi
#2023travelwish
a trip to banyuwangi begins with a stay at the Aston hotel. it's in the city center, 5 minutes drive from Banyuwangi Kota train station. the parking lot is wide. Entering the hotel area, we are greeted by 2 typical Banyuwangi statue icons. the hotel is clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly and helpful, the check-in process is fast. because it arrived quite late, we tried to eat at the restaurant, it turned out to be very delicious. The rooms are clean and soundproof. only if we need drinking water, we take it from the dispenser in front of the room because no mineral bottles are provided, only water jug. but it's okay.

Great National Park Wonderful Indonesia
De Djawatan is a Forrest in Benculuk Banyuwangi Indonesia, which most known as a Lord of The Rings Forrest.. walking on footpath s shaded by the branches of towering tress, many photo spots and picnic tables.
Forest de Djawatan is located in Benculuk Village. From the center of Banyuwangi, it is about 30 minutes away by motorized vehicle. The area has existed since the 1950s. Before becoming a tourist forest, the area functioned as a teak wood hoarding place. In 1970, there was massive looting in the area until it was finally abandoned. Instead of being left abandoned, the Indonesian State Forest Company (Perhutani) then took over the area and turned it into a tourism forest, which was named de Djawatan.
When you set foot in this forest, you will be amazed by the view of the large and towering tamarind trees. The trees here are hundreds of years old. Tracing a long path that is shaded by a giant tree on either side makes you feel like you are in a fairy tale. Really wow, anyway!#nationalpark

JAGIR WATERFALL -BANYUWANGI
The water that flows from Jagir Waterfall comes from a spring located directly above the waterfall, namely the Pawon source spring, which means the kitchen, where food and drinks come from. The waterfall has a spreading flow of water, so in one waterfall there can be three waterfalls flowing at once. Jagir waterfall is located in Kampung Anyar Hamlet, Taman Suruh Village, Glagah District. If usually the waterfall is not easily accessible, it is different from the Jagir waterfall which is located close to the center of Banyuwangi. The distance is only 13 kilometers from the city center, making Jagir waterfall a perfect place to unwind. Jagir waterfall has a charm that is rarely found in other waterfalls, namely there are three waterfalls in one area. Two of them are close together, and are often called twin waterfalls. While the other waterfalls 300 meters to the west of the twin waterfalls. This waterfall is higher when compared to the twin waterfalls, and comes from a different headwater. Jagir waterfall has been managed by the local community since 2016, and is now well facilitated. The management has provided many facilities needed by tourists, namely public toilets, changing rooms, prayer rooms, motorbikes and cars, as well as parking for food stalls around the entrance counter. So if you visit here, you can get typical Banyuwangi food in the stalls.

RED ISLAND BEACH, BANYUWANGI
Don't get me wrong, it turns out that Banyuwangi has natural beauty with beautiful panoramas in the form of beaches that are still clear and surrounded by green mountains. Surely this combination makes you not want to quickly move from this hidden paradise of the archipelago.
Yep, that's Pulau Merah Beach which has its own characteristics with a small hill with red soil in the middle of the beach that you can visit on foot when the sea water is receding. This unspoiled Indonesian tourist attraction is located in Sumberagung Village, Pesanggaran District and offers unbeatable beautiful views, especially at sunset.
Tourists will be treated to a reddish orange glow from behind the hill. This hidden paradise of Indonesia is suitable for those of you who want to aim for the most beautiful sunset photos.#triplocal

GREEN BAY, INDONESIA
Green Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches in Banyuwangi, even in Indonesia. Because the sea water tends to be more greenish, this tourist area is called Green Bay.
This tourist area has a very exotic scenery. Your eyes will be spoiled by the green color of the sea water in this bay, the rocks that lie on the beach, and the coral hills that surround this bay. #triplocal

MOUNT IJEN, EAST JAVA
Labeled as a ring of fire country, several areas in Indonesia have active and inactive volcanoes. Many of these volcanoes have become vacation spots, such as Mount Ijen on the eastern tip of the island of Java.
This mountain has a uniqueness that is hard to find anywhere else. The struggle to climb an active mountain by challenging sulfur gas will be fully paid off with the phenomenon of blue fire and the beauty of the turquoise green Ijen crater. Are you ready for this challenging holiday? #triplocal

GREENBAY JAWA TIMUR
Banyuwangi - Green Bay in Banyuwangi not only has white sand and clear green waters. Not far from the beach, there is a waterfall as high as 8 meters. This waterfall is said to be a bathing place for angels. Green Bay is becoming a byword among travelers. Imagine, the view of hidden paradise in Pesanggaran Village, Banyuwangi is not much different from Phi Phi Island in Thailand. Not far from the beach, there is an 8 meter high waterfall that flows through the rocks. When I visited some time ago, the water debit was minimal. But not a few tourists who rinse the body there, some even perform ablution. Who would have thought, this waterfall has a story that the Rajegwesi people believe. This is the name of a coastal village where tourists rent a jukung (fishing boat) to Teluk Hijau. Jukung trip from Rajegwesi Beach takes 15-20 minutes. According to the story of the residents of Rajegwesi, every rainy season there will be a beautiful rainbow stretching in the sky. This phenomenon will last for several days. Well, once upon a time there were residents who were curious and looked for the head of the rainbow. It is said that the waterfall in Green Bay is the end of the rainbow. Investigate a calibaration, people who have spiritual abilities often see the figure of a beautiful woman taking a bath when a rainbow appears. Despite the story, this waterfall provides free natural bathing for tourists. The water is clear and fresh. About the angels bathing there, believe it or not #triplocal

500 thousand rupiah for 2 nights from the normal 2 million per night
Too dear to pass up
So here it is Dialogue Banyuwangi
I took the lowest room and the highest room
Upgrading to a suite only adds 579 thousand rupiah, it's pretty cheap, so just try it
In general PLUS:
- Excellent views. Number one in Banyuwangi
- Good hospitality is at the level of a 5 star hotel. They remember my name every time they say hello. Plus point because it feels personal
- The facilities are quite complete but unfortunately there is no kids club
- Good maintenance. Very clean and well-maintained impression
- Good restaurant food. The variant is quite okay
- Clean pool
- Prokes top. Disinfect every room before check in
- There is a gym but there is only one tool per type
For MINUS:
- Small room (the deluxe one). Will discuss again later
- Slow WiFi
- No kids club
- Expensive
- No refrigerator/cooler in all rooms
For a review of the room, my advice is to take a suite, but here are the reviews for both:
DELUXE GARDEN room 1503
Lowest category. View garden. Just check the room tour video. In my opinion, it is not spacious, especially the bathroom.
The balcony is okay, it can be made to lie down because there is a fairly large sofa bed.
For more, check photos and videos
SUITE room 3217
Highest category. ocean view. If you can request, ask for room number 3217 or 3317 because the view is the best.
If you have time, come on a full night and the sky is clear because the view of the reflection of the moonlight on the sea is very beautiful
Please check the room tour video too
Suite room can be used for 3 people with extra bed. The proper bath and bathroom are wider than the deluxe
Overall quite satisfying this hotel
It's a hotel for artists, I met Donna Agnesia and Darius and the family
That's all for now, want to continue the trip

3 Must Visit Places in Banyuwangi
If you happen to have plans to travel to Banyuwangi, East Java Indonesia, be sure to visit these places!
Mount Ijen is an active volcano which located between Kabupaten Banyuwangi and Kabupaten Bondowoso. The height is 2,799 m (9,183 ft) above the sea level. The crater on the peak of Mount Ijen is one of the famous phenomenon. Crater of mount Ijen is home to the most acid lake on the planet. The journey going to the crater to hunt and watch the Blue Fire is more challenging than the 2 hours hike to the peak of Mount Ijen.
Baluran National Park. The scenery is amazing, similar to the savanna in Africa. But please be careful and drive your car/motorcycle slowly as you might see some wild animals when you pass the lane.
Waduk Bajulmati. Unique reservoir with nature and green surrounding. Very recommended for recreation, photo shoot and jogging. Would be great if you come here early in the morning for a beautiful sunrise view.

WONDERFUL! View is very good. I see the sunrise from my balcony. All the spot is instagramable. The staff is very good to choose the spot for a good picture.
I think it's the best hotel in Banyuwangi. If you happen to planned go to Bali but do not want to leave java island this hotel is the best option near Bali. Although the rate is a lil bit pricey the experience you get is worth the money. The best experience is see sunrise from the swimming pool while watch the Bali island from a distant

Nice place to stay in Banyuwangi. Good and clean room with well appointed furniture. We stayed several nights at Rm 1118. Nice comfortable bed and really good ambiance. Helpful and friendly staffs too.
The place is very modern and great service. The only reason i gave a 3 stars because the 5th floor is bloody haunted. Told the manager about this and he said that many people complain on that floor. The manager should tell us earlier before giving us that bloody room.

Green Bay Beach
When you are in the Green Bay of Banyuwangi, you can sit and enjoy the sound of seawater waves, swimming in calm water or playing sand. Its beauty can make you unwind all the tired in your mind due to work or travel long to the Green Bay.
The beauty of the Green Bay from Sarongan village, Banyuwangi will also look very beautiful even the rainy season arrives. In the rainy season also, you can see the rainbow hanging over the waters of the Rajegwesi Bay. This phenomenon lasts for several days. When the rainy season causes the rocks to grow slippery, therefore, you are advised to wear mountain sandals and be more careful.

Pura Luhur Giri Saloka Temple
Alas Purwo could not be removed from the sacred dimensions surrounding it. The sacred impression of Alas Purwo National Park is expressed in the existence of Pura Luhur Giri Saloka and the site of Kawitan. The temple which is considered most sacred by the majority of Hindus in all corners of Indonesia, because Alas Purwo is a place where Pura Luhur Giri Saloka is located, was originally believed to be the place of the father-father of Hindu leaders who later Day spread Hinduism to the island of Bali.
Experience and awareness of the Hindu community in the vicinity of Alas Purwo National Park are reflected by the ritualistic behavior of Pagerwesi. Rites that often attracted the attention of a large number of people who were set in a devout Hindu or by the adventurers of Hinduism.

Kalipait
Kalipait River is a river that contains sulfur and originates from the Ijen Crater water flow. Kalipait River waterfall is also one of the tourist destinations that are often visited in the Mount Ijen
The local called the stream Kalipait which literally meant a bitter stream. The green water in the stream came from the sulphuric crater lake of Mt. Ijen as the stream was located on Ijen’s mountain slope. In my opinion, the landscape was quite interesting and unique with the green stream flow on the surface of solid lava rocks with some trees far behind.
The stream, which also often called as Kalipait Waterfall by the locals could be reached easily because it was actually by the main road. The only limitation was that there were no public transports serving the area, so people should use their own vehicles or rented a vehicle from Banyuwangi or Bondowoso to go to the stream. Usually travelers stop by at the stream on their way to or from Mt. Ijen.

Pancur beach has long coastline with medium wave and wide ground that suitable for family camping. The most magnificent time is happen when the sun is set at this beach.
