🙏🏼 Kyaiktiyo Pagoda is a sacred pagoda on a golden rock located on the edge of a cliff in Mon State, Myanmar. It is believed to contain the hair of the Lord Buddha. 😊 It is said that Buddhists or those with faith travel to worship for good fortune in life. The atmosphere on the mountaintop is quiet, beautiful, and full of faith. It is an important destination that should be visited at least once in a lifetime. 🚌 Traveling from Yangon takes about 5-6 hours by bus or van to Kyaikto. Then take a pig truck (a vehicle similar to a pickup truck but bigger) up the mountain to the temple. ❤️ Traveling from Yangon is quite difficult. Together, there are 4 Buddha statues. If you look closely, you will see a pagoda with Buddha statues surrounding it, facing 4 directions. The north is the Buddha of Samana Kodom Samma Buddha. The south is the Buddha of Konokaman. The east is the Buddha of Kakusandha. And the west is the Buddha of Mahakassapa. It is considered another sacred place in Bago.
