In the student cafeteria of a German university
#ThailandFlightEvent European universities do not have all of their department buildings gathered in one campus like Korea. Some have separate buildings for each department, and some have two or three departments gathered in a large building. So there are two large student cafeterias separated by each branch. I recommend the Heidelberg University student cafeteria because you can have a warm and filling meal at a low price.

At the Heidelberg student restaurant Menza
#ThailandFlightEvent Meals at Menza, a student restaurant in Heidelberg, Germany, are buffet-style, where you scoop up whatever you want and pay by the weight of the food on your plate. There are a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes available. Guest tourists pay 1.92 euros per 100g and eat. I recommend this restaurant to those who want to have a special experience while traveling, as you can enjoy a delicious meal at the student restaurant of Heidelberg University, which has a long history in Germany. 🍽️

At the pier near Old Bridge
#ThailandAirlineEvent You can take a cruise ferry on the Neckar River from the pier near the Old Bridge. On both sides of the river, you can see lush forests, Heidelberg Castle, and cute European buildings. It's similar to Yangpyeong in Korea, but with a couple spoons of European sensibility added.
I recommend it to cool off with a cold beer on a hot summer day.

A tomb built in the 15th century inside a church?
#ThailandFlightEvent What impressed me at the Heidelberg Holy Spirit Church was the 15th-century tomb for Ruprecht II and his wife Elisabeth. It was amazing that the tomb of a historically important figure who later became King Ruprecht I of Germany and was deeply involved in the establishment of Heidelberg University and the construction of the church remained inside the church. What was even more surprising was that this tomb was not destroyed during the destruction of the city in the 17th century, so it can still be seen by tourists. If you come to Heidelberg, I highly recommend stopping by.

Feel the vibe of Old Town while walking
#ThailandFlightEvent I was able to see the cute alleyways that I liked in the Italian Old Town in Heidelberg, Germany. The pedestrian paths made of small stones between the buildings built a long time ago seem to give the Old Town a unique vibe as I walk.
If you are planning to tour the Heidelberg Old Town, I recommend wearing comfortable sneakers. There are many pretty stone paths, but there are a lot of gaps between the stones, so heels are not recommended. Your feet will get stuck or it will be uncomfortable to walk.

Heidelberg's Old Bridge: A Must-Visit Spot
Heidelberg's Old Bridge is always bustling with people, making it one of the most popular spots in the area. This speaks volumes about its charm and appeal. Crossing the bridge offers a stunning view that captures the Neckar River, the old town, and Heidelberg Castle all in one frame. The scenery becomes even more breathtaking at sunset. If you're visiting Heidelberg, don't miss out on this view!
A Place That Exudes Weight and Grandeur
The Heiliggeistkirche (Church of the Holy Spirit) located in the heart of Heidelberg's Old Town exudes a sense of weight and grandeur. The Gothic-style high ceilings contribute to the building's imposing presence. Despite being a popular tourist spot, the tranquil atmosphere and timeless architecture make it a place where you can linger as long as you wish. If you visit Heidelberg, I highly recommend stopping by the Heiliggeistkirche.

Looking for a gift for someone special?
In Heidelberg's Old Town, at Universitätsplatz, you'll find Käthe Wohlfahrt Heidelberg. This store is a true paradise for collectors of Christmas ornaments. From small and adorable figurines to dazzling nutcrackers, the shop feels like a tiny fairytale village.
The moment you step inside, you'll be amazed by the sheer number of beautiful items—it’s almost overwhelming! However, keep in mind that the prices are on the higher side, so it's best to shop carefully within your budget.
🎁 Whether you're searching for a gift for someone special or a self-treat Christmas souvenir, this is a must-visit spot!
On the outdoor terrace
#AprilTravelSupportThe outdoor terrace was well-organized to welcome spring, so guests could sit comfortably and enjoy a drink or a meal. The friendly staff happily told us that we could sit wherever we wanted. If you are traveling to Europe, I recommend you to enjoy a cup of coffee on the outdoor terrace.

A fairy tale town
#AprilTravelSupport If you drive about 15 minutes from Heidelberg and go up the Neckar River, you will find Dilsberg, a fairytale-like village built on a mountain ridge. If you are touring Heidelberg and can rent a car, I recommend stopping by here to feel the beautiful pastoral German landscape from the castle.

#AprilTravelSupportYou can buy coffee beans roasted directly and cookies made gluten-free, so this is a place recommended to those who like bread but hesitate because of gluten. I recommend it because you can shop comfortably thanks to the kind and gentle owner couple. #germanycity
Into Little Italy
#JapanFlightEvent It's not exactly in the center of downtown Mannheim, but it's not hard to find. When you enter the store, you feel like you're entering a little Italy. The delicious smell that tickles your nose as you enter naturally makes you feel good. I recommend it to those looking for Italian food and products in Mannheim.

Place of remembrance
#JapanAirlineEvent A memorial has been set up to honor the police officers who died in the terrible incident that occurred last summer at Mannheim's Marktplatz. You can hear the voices of many people who want such incidents to never happen again. I recommend stopping by while sightseeing in Mannheim to take a moment to pay your respects. #germanytravel

A great place for a picnic
#JapanAirlineEvent It's a lawn where cute characters seem to jump out after passing a small hill that looks like something out of a fairy tale. If you have time, I recommend it as a great place to have a picnic on the lawn where you can enjoy the warm weather even more. #germanycity
Karl von Drais
Karl von Drais invented the bicycle we ride today in Mannheim in 1817. Although the sign informing us of this fact has become dirty due to the weather, it is still readable. While walking along the Rhine River, you can learn new facts, so if you visit Mannheim, I recommend stopping by the Rhine River as well.
Graffiti is officially permitted
#JapanAirlineEvent There is a space in Mannheim where graffiti is officially permitted in the tunnel on the road connecting the Rhine River to the back of Mannheim Castle. I recommend it because there are always different artworks drawn every time you pass by, so it's fun to look at.

Connected to the Rhine River
#JapanAirlineEvent If you follow the walking and cycling paths connected to the back of Mannheim Castle, where the University of Mannheim is located, there is a path connected to the Rhine River. If you pass the elevated road, you will be connected to the Rhine River, so I recommend taking a walk along the Rhine River after visiting downtown Mannheim. #germanycity
A 10 minute walk
#JapanAirlineEvent You can visit Mannheim Castle in 10 minutes on foot from Mannheim Central Station. It is currently used as a university building, but anyone can visit it, so I recommend it as a connection to the city of Heidelberg.

Mood Cafe
#JapanFlightEvent I recommend this place because I like to drink coffee quietly. The owner is kind and it's good to come here for coffee, but many people also come here to study with white noise, so I recommend it.

#JapanFlightEvent This is a pub where many college students in Mannheim go to drink. Unfortunately, the music coming out of the pub is old, but I recommend it because you can go there for a quick shot.
