【Miyagi/Sendai】A long-established beef tongue specialty restaurant founded in 1975.

This time, I ordered:
・Special Thick-Cut Grilled Set Meal (3 slices, 6 cuts) - 3,520 yen
+Tororo (grated yam) - 165 yen
Among the classic menu items, the "Special Thick-Cut Grilled Set Meal" stood out as particularly appealing, so I decided to go for it✨️
The thick slices of beef tongue offer a perfect balance of firm texture and tenderness, releasing rich flavors with every bite💗
Expertly grilled to a fragrant perfection, the beef tongue truly showcases the quality of a specialty restaurant🙌
The barley rice comes with a free large serving option, which I naturally opted for😋💓
The chewy texture of the rice paired with the savory beef tongue is an unbeatable combination.
For the tail soup, I added the recommended pepper from the staff!
The gentle soup gains a spicy kick, enhancing its depth of flavor💕
The tail meat is tender and falls apart easily, making it irresistibly delicious☺️
The miso nanban can be enjoyed on its own or placed on the beef tongue🙆♀️
Its spicy kick adds a delightful accent, making it hard to stop eating🥰
As for the tororo, it’s best enjoyed with the barley rice.
Pairing it with pickles makes the flavor even smoother and more satisfying💕
✍️ I visited during a weekday lunch and was lucky enough to get in without waiting.
The restaurant offers both counter seating and tatami mat seating, making it welcoming for solo diners and groups alike.
The staff were incredibly friendly, creating an atmosphere that makes you want to return.
When in Sendai, beef tongue is a must-try.
Although my trip was just a 2-day, 1-night stay, I ended up eating beef tongue twice during my visit☺️
That’s how special Sendai’s beef tongue is💗
