Strolling Along Rambla de Mar in Barcelona at Sunset
Rambla de Mar, an extension of La Rambla, stretches across the old fishing port of Barcelona. The wavy wooden walkway passes by the Columbus Monument and connects to the Maremagnum shopping center and the Barcelona Aquarium.
Visiting in the late afternoon as the sun begins to set, the bright light allows you to enjoy views of sailboats and various maritime activities. Seagulls rest along the way, and the coastal art installations make for great photo opportunities, making the walk very pleasant.
At dusk, the sunset reflects on the old port's waters, creating a picture-perfect scene. It's a popular spot for locals to stroll and relax.

Barcelona coffee shop “The coffee house”
#EuropeanTravel
📍Location: C/ de València, 143, L'Eixample, 08011 Barcelona, Spain
I found this cafe by chance, but it's popular, and both the coffee beans and milk are so delicious, so I recommend it!
They also have brunch and bakery menus, so there were a lot of takeout customers.
I had a cappuccino, and the milk, foam, and coffee beans were all so delicious!!
The store itself is a bit small, so if you just eat in, you might have to wait.
The milk is delicious, so I recommend the coffee menu with milk!

Mountain village in the Pyrenees
La Pobla de Lillet, 2 hours drive north from Barcelona, is a small mountain village nestled in between valleys and crossed by the Llobregat river. 🏔️
It boasts excellent local cuisine and typical mountain architectural features: like cobblestone covered streets, tilted black roofs and stone walls. 🌲
Amazingly, through the tourist office you can get the key to climb up the bell tower of the church, quite a unique experience that will allow you enjoy the views of the village from the top. 🔔
La Pobla de Lillet is a great chance for a tranquil getaway not too far from Barcelona, and extra tip: it holds a secret garden that was designed by Catalan master architect Antoni Gaudí, more about this in another post, be sure yo check it out 😊

4-day trip to Barcelona, Spain!
I went around Barcelona🇪🇸 in 4 days!
📍Sagrada Familia
When you think of Barcelona, this is the place to be! It was so grand✨✨✨
The view from the back of the Sagrada Familia is very famous, but the view from the front and side of the Sagrada Familia was also very beautiful! Please take a look around it😉
*Advance reservations are required to visit the inside
📍Gothic Quarter
The atmosphere of the city of Barcelona changes completely in the Gothic Quarter, located near the beach!
When you walk around, you will see the cathedral, famous bridges, and old-fashioned souvenir shops. In the evening, there are many restaurants where you can eat while watching the sunset🎶
I had sangria and paella!
📍Casa Mila
A huge mansion designed by the architect who designed the Sagrada Familia🏰
You can tour the area from the first floor to the rooftop using Japanese audio! We went there in the evening, and luckily we were able to see the sunset from the rooftop of Casa Mila 🤩
📍Cultural Center and Arc de Triomf
This is an archaeological site where you can learn about the history of Barcelona! For 4€, we were able to actually tour the history and buildings of Barcelona with an English guide! We were also able to actually walk down the alleys of houses from 200 years ago, which was a great memory ❣️
The Arc de Triomf was about a 5-minute walk from here! You can also get to the harbor in about 10 minutes, so be sure to walk around 😉
📍Park Guell
*Reservations required in advance!
We were planning to go on the first day, but we couldn't buy tickets, so we took revenge on the second day 😅
It was a wonderful place with a panoramic view of Barcelona, which has a long history, and many art works remaining!
We also found a colorful lizard in a souvenir shop 💡
We were able to enjoy it thoroughly in 4 days!

See and Taste Around Barcelona
Barcelona has it all, so it is no wonder it is one of the top destinations in Europe. Strolling along the streets, you can find jaw-dropping architectural wonders by Gaudi, ruins and vestiges of the ancient Roman Empire, historical museums, mouth-watering tapas, and markets to suit your needs. I signed up for historical walking tours and a foodie tour to learn and eat my way around Barcelona and met other travelers who gave great recommendations and reviews of places they visited around the city. With so much to offer, Barcelona cannot disappoint!

Park Güell is one of the famous attractions in Barcelona. I will say this is the most beautiful park in Barcelona and you must add this place In your travel list. This building is built by Antoni Gaudí and the architecture is absolutely amazing. As you see from the picture, the park is spectacular with different shapes of rocks and the way they built together is just fantastic. Therefore, I am highly recommend this place for you to come and have a look in this spectacular park!

Barcelona …. don’t forget to look up! 😱
Bold, brash, colourful, distinctive, harmonious, varied and unique are just a few adjectives that come to mind when describing Barcelona architecture.
Barcelona has successfully blended the old and the new in a way that makes this city simply breathtakingly beautiful. There is nothing more enjoyable than strolling around the streets of Barcelona and taking in the atmosphere that radiates out from the architecture. Traditional Catalan Gothic architecture such as the Iglesia de Pi church is reserved and stoic in its design, but just a 5 minute walk away we have the Barcelona Cathedral with its beautiful arches and facade.

Spooky Barcelona!! 👻🎃
There’s nothing like a spooky Barcelona!!
Barcelona, the cosmopolitan capital of Spain’s Catalonia region, is known for its art and architecture. The fantastical Sagrada Família church and other modernist landmarks designed by Antoni Gaudí dot the city. Museu Picasso and Fundació Joan Miró feature modern art by their namesakes. City history museum MUHBA, includes several Roman archaeological sites.
Barcelona is a city with a wide range of original leisure options that encourage you to visit time and time again. Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

BARCELONA’S OLD CITY: DISCOVER THE GOTHIC QUA
Barcelona’s Old City is steeped in history and soaked in charm. Wandering its streets and alleys is a delightful thing to do in Barcelona, but there’s more to the Old City than just the Gothic Quarter. Read on for a guide to the Barcelona Old City neighbourhoods (or barrios), including the Gothic Quarter, Sant Pere, Santa Caterina i la Ribera, El Born, El Raval and La Barceloneta.
The Old City, or Ciutat Vella, is the oldest part of Barcelona, its historic heart. There has been a settlement here since Roman times when it was known as Barcino. Once hemmed in by medieval walls, which were taken down in the 19th century, Barcelona’s old city remains a dense network of streets, alleys and historic buildings. But it’s not just for pretty walks and sightseeing: Barcelona’s Old City remains a vibrant, humming community, full of life. And it’s not all the same – the historic neighbourhoods (barris in Catalan and barrios in Spanish) each have their own distinct personality and appeal.

It’s no doubt that Barcelona is one of the most photogenic cities on the planet—especially at sunset.
As evening falls over the city, Barcelona takes on a special kind of magic that you have to experience for yourself. Of course, since Barcelona lies on Spain’s eastern coast, you won’t be able to catch a true coastal sunset—you’ll have to go to Galicia or Spain’s islands for that. However, the beautiful twilight that settles over Barcelona is still incredible.
Of all the travel experiences waiting out there in the big wide world, ‘sipping cocktails on a rooftop bar in Barcelona as the sun sets in the distance’ has to be right up near the top. The very thought of it is enough to draw wistful sighs and excessive daydreaming. Europe doesn’t get much more romantic than this.
Barcelona is packed with amazing things to do and fantastic restaurants, and a sunset drink on a rooftop bar is the perfect end to a perfect day.

It's like walking into a fairy tale - Park Guell
One of the must-see attractions in #Barcelona: Park Guell
It is a fairy tale world created by #Gaudí.
The architectural complex of the Candy House presents Gaudí's fantasy world.
Walking into this park feels like being a character in a fairy tale book.
No wonder there are so many people here every day!
⭐️Tips⭐️
1) Be sure to book your tickets in advance!
When we got to the top of the mountain, we found that there were no tickets for sale.
I have to queue up to buy tickets for tomorrow. Fortunately, I have reserved a few days in Barcelona.
Only then can I go again~
2) Don’t trust the map and take the subway!
You can take the bus 🚌 directly to the door!

Who says cable cars must be for private sightseeing?
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Barcelona (Region)
For tourists or visitors, in addition to being able to get closer to this beautiful neighborhood, its cable car is the most affordable way to reach Tibidabo by public transportation without paying extra fees, since it is part of an integrated metropolitan system. So if we don’t want to pay the extra fee for the Tibidabo cable car, we can take the FGC S1 or S2 at Plaza Catalunya and get off at the Peu del Funicular stop. Then take the Vallvidrera cable car to Vallvidrera Superior station, remember there is an intermediate stop on the way, and once you reach the top of the mountain take bus 111 and get off at Tibidabo. If you have time or are waiting for the bus, I recommend walking through the neighborhood. Barcelona was right below us and the view was stunning.

Barcelona's Coastal Promenade and Public Spaces
Mediterranean Coast Tour of Spain ~ Barcelona (Region)
Previously known as Fusta, which means 'wood' in Catalan, this area was once a major timber unloading dock. Before the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, the region underwent extensive urban redevelopment, transforming it into a modern seaside promenade. It now features numerous chairs for relaxation and enjoying the stunning views. The area is adorned with beautiful palm trees, making it an ideal spot for strolling and admiring the impressive ships and yachts. There's also a very cool and stylishly designed bridge that becomes lively during good weather.

Immerse Yourself in the Past

At the Church of Sant Miquel, there are some paintings above the altar in the small chapel, whose history dates back to the 6th century. UNESCO is currently evaluating the possibility of designating the Egara architectural complex as a World Heritage Site. Regardless, you can watch a short yet comprehensive video that explains the places you will visit and highlights the must-see spots. Dive deeper into exploring the Egara architectural complex.

A must-visit observation deck in the city.
Mediterranean Coast Tour of Spain ~ Barcelona (Region)
The observation deck is located in Gurb town, and it takes approximately 40 minutes to hike from the parking lot where you disembark. Another option is to drive from the center of Vic to the foot of the mountain, which is about an hour's drive and roughly 5 kilometers one way. It's a perfect spot for hiking enthusiasts and mountain bikers. From the highest point in the area, you can enjoy stunning views of Gurb and Vic. The final stretch is a bit challenging to reach, but it's absolutely worth it.

A peaceful journey that blends legend and art
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Barcelona (Region)
The Santa Cova funicular railway connects the sanctuary to the caves, troglodyte churches attached to the rock where, according to legend, some shepherds discovered an image of Our Lady of Montserrat. Since 1929, pilgrims have taken a cable car to this symbolic place where you can breathe art and nature.
The train arrives at the monumental starting point of Rosario, the most important outdoor sculpture complex of Catalan Modernism, housing works by Antoni Gaudí and Josep Llimona, among others. There is also an exhibition dedicated to the funicular railway, its workings and its history.
The cableway is 262 meters long and overcomes an altitude difference of 118 meters. The Santa Cova Funicular Railway was built in 1929 for the company Ferrocarrils de Muntanya a Grans Pendents (FMGP), which also owns the Santa Joan Funicular Railway. Since 1986, both cable cars have been managed by the FGC.

Unique Views of the Sacred Mountain
Mediterranean Coast Tour of Spain ~ Barcelona (Region)
This cross stands prominently on the edge of a cliff, offering a unique perspective. From here, you can not only catch a distant view of the famous Montserrat Monastery but also enjoy a breathtaking panorama of almost the entire Catalonia region. It is truly awe-inspiring.
The only way to reach this spot is on foot. Although the hike from Montserrat Monastery may seem long and uphill, it actually takes only about 20 to 30 minutes one way. The stunning scenery along the way makes the walk enjoyable and effortless, and before you know it, you’ve arrived. I highly recommend this short hike to anyone visiting Montserrat Monastery—it’s absolutely worth the extra time to explore.

The best panoramic view of the Holy Mountain and the church area
Take the Sant Joan Funicular Railway to enjoy an impressive panoramic view of Montserrat from 1,000 meters above sea level. The climb on the Sant Joan Funicular is an unforgettable trip with a maximum gradient of 65% and a distance of 503 meters.
The new viewpoint, located at the upper station of the cable car itself, at nearly 1,000 meters above sea level, offers a perfect view of the mountains and houses an interpretation center of the Central Catalonia Geopark and the Montserrat Mountain Natural Park. This space presents the history of the characteristic mountain of Montserrat, as well as its climatic conditions, flora and fauna.
At the top, starting from the Tarantula Plain, visitors can take part in a number of signposted excursions or walks, varying in difficulty and duration, suitable for all visitors. For more information, you can check out the range of itineraries and routes in Montserrat.
The Sant Joan Montserrat Cable Car was inaugurated in 1918 to connect the outside of the monastery to the Hermitage of Sant Joan, located in the upper part of the mountain where the viewpoint is also located. In 1997 the facility was modernized and the cable car was equipped with new panoramic vehicles, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the ride.

The Holy Mountain of Montserrat would not be without the statue of Our Lady.
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Barcelona (Region)
You have to book your visit online and it is usually very busy after 10am with queues. If you can arrive at dawn you will have a moment of a lifetime as you can see the sunrise from the monastery and then entry between 7:00am and 9:00am is usually quick with no queues. You enter from the right and you see a side passage, you go up some stairs and you come to be in front of the Maranita of Our Lady of Montserrat, after a few minutes in front of her you continue up the stairs and then go to the prayer chapel, then continue to the exit and reach the candle passage, at the end you can take it and light it.

Countless Art Pieces and Montserrat Mountain's Unique Environment
Mediterranean Coast Tour of Spain ~ Barcelona (Region)
The museum houses a collection of precious artworks. It is divided into different sections based on educational objectives and offers guided tours. The collection includes Italian paintings from the 16th and 17th centuries, as well as Flemish, Spanish, and French paintings from the 15th to 18th centuries. It also showcases various styles of religious artifacts and biblical archaeology from the Middle East and Egypt.
MDM features two temporary exhibition halls: the Pere Daura Gallery and the Pere Pruna Art Space, complementing the permanent exhibitions. Additionally, modern paintings form the largest and most renowned section of the Montserrat Museum.
