Picturesque visitor centre
Great sea urchin like architecture is Tucked away on the edge of Janel close to Omanian boarder.
Super picturesque stroll on the desert with a change to collect your own fossils is a heavenly spot for families and a A wonderful place to learn about UAE geological history.

Sea urchin like museum
Set in the remote and barren location at Sharjah desert with beautiful Jabel backdrop sits a visitor centre and a geological museum designed by Hopkins Architects.
Quite small but very well curated exhibition tells the story of geological past of the region. A short walk leads directly to the edge of Jabel and enables closer look at variety of stone formation. there is also a caffe on the site. highly recommended to visit during winter before it gets to hot. requires self drive.
Tickets 10 Dirhams for over 13, under 13 free. #passionpassport
Al Madam Ghost Village
mysterious little place with unknown origins. not a tourist destination as such but certainly mentioned in lots of articles and blogs, less then an hour out of Dubai there is this little village partially reclaim by the desert. the place is open and easily accessible without 4x4, but you need to park outside the entrance to avoid being stuck in sand.
Sadly as it’s getting more popularity there can be a bit of rubish around and signs of evening bbq, buts that’s what the desert suffers from everywhere around Dubai.
Great place for a stroll (dog loved it!).

Desert Adventure: Dubai Off-Roading and Camel Encounter
This is an adventurous and surprising desert off-roading trip. We started from the bustling city of Dubai and ventured into the vast Arabian Desert. The magnificent desert scenery was breathtaking, with endless golden sand dunes glittering under the sunlight.
We rode in professional off-road vehicles, speeding through the dunes. The drivers were highly skilled, expertly navigating the vehicle through the undulating dunes. Each acceleration, sharp turn, and dune crossing made our hearts race and adrenaline surge. The contrast between the desert's silence and the roar of the off-road vehicle made the journey thrilling and challenging.
Along the way, we had the chance to drive a Buggy ourselves, experiencing the thrill of driving in the desert. Sitting in the driver's seat, gripping the steering wheel, I felt empowered and free. Stepping on the gas, the Buggy quickly accelerated, racing through the dunes. Each sharp turn and dune crossing brought joy and challenge, making the journey unforgettable.
During the off-roading trip, we encountered a group of camels. Camels are a wonder of the desert, leisurely walking among the dunes with grace and composure. We stopped to interact with the camels and took photos. The camel owners warmly introduced us to the camels' life and habits in the desert, giving us a deeper understanding of the desert's ecosystem and local culture.
The final stop of the off-roading trip was a viewpoint to watch the desert sunset. As the sun set, the golden dunes were bathed in a reddish-orange glow, turning the desert into a stunning painting. The beautiful scenery was mesmerizing, making it hard to leave.
This Dubai desert off-roading trip allowed me to experience the desert's grandeur and mystery, the thrill of driving a Buggy, and the wonder of encountering camels. It was an adventurous and surprising journey that will forever remain in my memory.
Dubai: Skyland Camp
This time, I participated in a desert tour in Dubai, which is originally a desert!
About an hour from the city, the desert spreads out, and the view from there was very beautiful.
There are various tours, such as sunrise tours and sunset tours!
This time, I chose the sunset tour!
It was great because it included a show and a buffet meal.
Be sure to check it out!

Chasing golden sunsets and endless dunes 🌅🏜️
Embarking on a Dubai desert safari is a journey like no other, offering a perfect blend of adventure, culture, and natural beauty. As the sun sets, the desert transforms into a canvas of golden hues, creating a magical backdrop for photos. Whether you're gliding down the dunes on a sandboard, riding camels like the Bedouins of old, or simply basking in the serenity of the vast landscape, every moment feels surreal. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to indulge in a traditional Arabic feast under the stars, where flavors like shawarma and falafel bring the experience to life. As night falls, the desert sky reveals a stunning array of stars, making you feel connected to the universe in a way only the vastness of the desert can offer.

Al Madam - Buried "Ghost Village"
#familytrips2024
Al Madam, often referred to as the "Ghost Village," is an abandoned settlement located in the desert of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The village was gradually buried under shifting sands over several decades, leading to its abandonment. Today, it stands as a haunting reminder of the region's changing landscape and serves as a popular destination for urban explorers and photographers intrigued by its eerie atmosphere and partially buried buildings.
