2024 Agutaya Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in October)
Philippines | Aman
The most expensive and best Aman experience I've had.
Amanpulo Resort is located on Pamalican Island in Palawan, Philippines, and offers a top luxury private island vacation experience.
The resort consists of 42 casitas and 18 villas, all built in the traditional Filipino bahay kubo style with thatched roofs and pebble walls. The interiors are luxuriously decorated and equipped with modern amenities such as king-size beds and satellite TV.
Guests staying at Amanpulo can enjoy the following unique experiences:
Private space: The entire island is reserved for the resort, offering a high level of privacy.
Beach experience: Beautiful white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters, perfect for diving and snorkeling.
Water activities: A variety of water activities are available, including windsurfing, sea fishing, and yacht cruises.
Nature exploration: Explore the island's tropical rainforest and coral reefs, and enjoy a tour around the island.
Dining: The island has several restaurants offering international cuisine, including fresh seafood and Mediterranean cuisine.
Spa and wellness: Aman Spa offers a variety of massages and wellness treatments.
Celebrity favorite: Several celebrities have vacationed here, including Nicholas Tse and Cecilia Cheung's proposal site and David Tao's wedding.
To get to Amanpulo, you need to fly to Manila and then take a private plane arranged by the resort to Pamalican Island. The resort offers transfers from Manila Airport to the resort.
Amanpulo is an ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle and experience luxury and tranquility. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or just a relaxing break, Amanpulo has something for everyone.
Great Resort
awesome service, great food, great weather, nice water
World's Best Island - Amanpulo
Island is quite far from the mainland of the Philippines and surrounding islands, so the only way to enter Amanpulo is by small plane. The overall design of the resort is extremely humble and simple, almost imperceptibly blending into the natural landscape of blue sky, blue sea, and beautiful white sand beaches. Each room comes with a buggy, and that carefree experience is the essence of a vacation!
Philippines
When it comes to island vacations, the Philippines is definitely a top choice. However, with so many islands to choose from, how do you decide? This article has got you covered!
Best place to relax: Boracay Island, Long Beach
The most famous island with good sea water, beaches, and decent hotels. The coastline is about 7 kilometers long, with 4 kilometers of fine white sand. Sunset sailing and diving are also features. The downside is that transportation is a bit of a hassle, as you have to fly to Kalibo and then take a combination of land, sea, and air transportation (plane, bus, ferry) to get to Boracay. Additionally, there are not many international brand hotels (but it is still the most among all major islands in the Philippines).
Highest playability: Bohol Island
You can go up the mountains and down to the sea, as well as visit some less interesting cultural attractions. To get there domestically, it's from within China to Manila to Tagbilaran, or fly to Cebu and then take a boat, which is even more troublesome. The most famous one is Balicasag Island, which has a circle of coral reefs around the island and underwater cliffs that are a full 1000 meters deep!
Diving to see thresher sharks: Mommy shoots at Malapascua Island
Island
In the north of Cebu, you need to fly to Cebu first and then take a car and a boat. There are few tourists, suitable for diving enthusiasts, and you can see thresher sharks steadily. Jump to Kalanggaman Island on the east side of the island, there is a beautiful long-tailed sandy beach. Go to Gato Island, there is an underwater cave that crosses the island.
My top pick: Palawan Island in the Philippines.
A peaceful island surrounded by over a thousand islands of various sizes, with the best seawater, beaches, and one hotel per island.
Amanpulo is the best option for luxury, while El Nido and Coron offer good value for money.
The best for surfing: Siargao Island
Southeast Asia's surfing paradise requires a layover in Manila. For island hopping, visit Guyam Island in Siargao for excellent snorkeling. There's also Tropical Beach, which boasts a long stretch of sandy beach.
Transfer station: Dumaguete
Dumaguete is not worth staying, but you can go to Sumilon Island. The Bluewater resort on the island is perfect for a relaxing vacation. The nearby Apo Island is a diving paradise where you can dive off the cliffs. There is also a small independent island called Siquijor, which is said to be the home of witches and demons.
Niche high cost performance: Ganmiyin Camiguin
Only the Cebu to Camiguin flight offers a volcanic island with beaches that rival those of Boracay. The sunken cemetery is a landmark and the best spot to watch the sunset.
Half flame, half seawater: Legazpi, Philippines
Ma Rong volcano is the most perfectly symmetrical volcano in the world and is an active volcano. It is very close to Donsol, where you can go out to sea to see wild whales and sharks.
Nearest to Manila: PG (Puerto Galera)
Mainly diving, high requirements, there may be some undercurrents underwater.
