2025 Agadir-Ida-Ou Tanane Province Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in February)

Before I briefly introduce Agadir, let me introduce Paradise Valley. I always like to enjoy the good things first, and then I can choose whether or not to read the rest. The village we stayed in is located on top of a mountain near the Atlantic Ocean, about a 30-minute drive from Agadir. We chose it to save on accommodation costs (about 20 euros per night, with a mini kitchen) and to avoid the crowded city center (Agadir is a great place to spend the winter in cold Europe). Standing behind the village, you can see the endless brown mountains, with sparse trees growing on them. The branches are covered with long, hard thorns, and if there are leaves, they are densely packed against the branches, like the small curls on a black person's head. The most important principle of the structure is to save water! Riding from the village into the vast mountains, you will reach Paradise Valley after an hour of winding roads. Paradise Valley is not as beautiful as its name suggests, like a paradise, but it is actually an oasis in the barren mountains. The oasis is full of lush coconut trees and reeds, and the river is like a big-headed tadpole with a long tail, with most of the water source concentrated in the head and getting smaller and smaller as it goes back. Although the oasis is not spectacular, it stretches for several kilometers. In the old days, how many people and animals did this oasis save? How much hope did it give them to keep living? In this sense, it is not an exaggeration to call it "Paradise Valley." As for Agadir, it is not very distinctive, quite clean, the city looks quite new, and it is quite close to the sea. It is suitable for tourists who want to relax and enjoy the sun on the beach every day!

Hop on a bus in Tagazout and stop at the Timlaline sand dunes, facing the ocean. On the spot you can explore the canyons on you own (very easy to find) or with a local guide. you can also do some sandboard, quad or Camel activities. Some companies also organise tea moments on the top of the dune. it's recommended to stay for the sunset : less crowded and beautiful colors Hitch hike to go back to Tagazout.

One the best souks in Morocco! Had the best shopping and discovery experience. There was no pressure to buy from the shop keepers, and as a female solo traveller I felt safe. The market had an amazing range of items from traditional items( hand made) to modern clothing with decent pricing. There was also restaurants that provided a good service with decent prices.

💕Paradise Valley is truly a hidden oasis in the canyon, with a surprising view after passing through the palm groves along the winding mountain road. It is perfect for hiking or trying the thrilling cliff diving, or you can enjoy the tranquility, resting in a restaurant under the palm trees with a glass of Moroccan whisky (a local nickname for mint tea) 💰Free attraction 🚗Round-trip transportation: There is no direct access, you need to take a bus to the town of Aourir first, where there are minibuses to and from Paradise Valley, with a one-way price of 25 dirhams, departing when full, usually about ten people.

An immense crocodile head denotes the principle passageway of the parc. A creative idea and a remarkable venture in Agadir, in the south of morocco. The ranch inside the Atlantic zone contains more than 300 of Nil crocodiles (Crocodylus niloticus). The engineering and the structure of the parc give the inclination to be in a woodland, offering you seeing a ton of one of a kind trees and plants assortments. Enjoy a drinks or lunch at the park at the end of your tour. FYI; they have private spaces for children to play and Lear about different croco types.

Today we’ve been hosted by the local village of Isk. The village Chikh “mayor” welcomed us and showed us around. The village is very local and they only lives from the products they produce in the village. Phone service is almost thing which is a good thing. I was very interested and how dedicated they are all since they walk up in the morning. Everyone is super organized and they now to do. If you have time please pay a visit to the local village of ISK.

Escape to the Atlas foothills for a trek amongst the rugged landscape of arid mountains and ochre-red rocks softened by lush palm and banana groves. Set off from the port, travelling by 4x4 on a scenic journey, well known as the Paradise Valley drive. Continue on your way to the village of Alma, situated in the Imouzzer Valley in the district of Tazeroualt. Along the way you will take a photo stop at palm grove of Tamzargoute before arriving at the village of Aquesri, from where you will set off on a 2-hour hike. Following your trek, proceed on foot into the valley, admiring the local flora and fauna before arriving at the botanical garden, to view the plethora of plants, used for artisanal extraction of essential oils. The Argan tree is indigenous to the arid southwest region of Morocco. This thorny tree has a deep root system that is well adapted to the semi-desert environment. Characterised by its toughness, an Argan tree can reach the age of 200 years. Refreshment stop at Aromatic garden, tasting a Moroccan bread, honey and Olive oil with a Moroccan tea.

Founded in 2011 by the local women of Tighanimine town. This is the only source of income they have to support themselves and their families. Argan oil only exists in Morocco worldwide. We visited their site including their laboratory and factory.

A day strip to Aguerd, the road take us to this hidden gem on the north west of Agadir city. I can’t say more than just a true local experience. Skipping the city craziness and you find yourself in a lovely, calm and stunning village. The Kasbah tented camp is a great place to stay.
