Band-e-Amir National Park Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jul)
Must visit in Afganistan
#wecreate
Band-e-Amir is a must visit place in Afganistan. It is extremely beautiful and fascinating. The lake is one of the bluest lake I have ever seen in life. You can even rent a peddle boat (300AFN for foreigners) for 2 hour.
The scenery is absolutely beautiful, however some people throw rubbish around which is really disappointing . I strongly recommend to bring enough water and apply sunscreen in sunmer
Buddhas of Bamiyan Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jul)
Buddhas of Bamyan in Afganistan
A heritage site in Kabul. There used to be two Buddah statues but it was destroyed by Talibans in 2001.
This site had huge potential but unfortunately it's destroyed. However it's still worth a visit. There are many cave holes and it felt like Petra from Jordan.
Tickets are 300AFN for foreigners. You can still walk around the area within tickets but won't get close to Buddah site. It gets very hot in summer so definitely apply sunscreen.

Cultural Landscape and Archaeological Remains of the Bamiyan Valley Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jul)
Exploring Bamiyan Valley 🗺️
Just got back from an incredible trip to the Bamiyan Valley in Afghanistan, and it was an experience I'll never forget! 🌄 The valley is absolutely stunning with its towering cliffs and rich history. There's no entrance fee to explore the valley itself, but some sites may ask for a small donation. The highlight, of course, was seeing the niches where the giant Buddhas once stood. Even though the statues are no longer there, the sense of history and spirituality is overwhelming.
Nearby, the Band-e-Amir National Park is a must-see with its crystal-clear lakes and dramatic scenery. The town of Bamiyan offers some cozy guesthouses and local eateries where you can try traditional Afghan food. I also visited the ancient city of Shahr-e Gholghola, which offers spectacular views of the valley and surrounding mountains.
Despite its past, the Bamiyan Valley is a place of peace and beauty, and the local people are incredibly welcoming. If you love history and breathtaking landscapes, this is a destination you shouldn't miss. #BamiyanValley #Afghanistan #HistoricSites #NaturalBeauty 🌄🕌

Blue Mosque Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jul)
Blue mosque 🗺️
a deep sense of peace and history. The pigeons that flock around the courtyard add a charming touch to the serene atmosphere. 🕊️
Nearby, you can explore the bustling bazaars of Mazar-e-Sharif, where you’ll find everything from traditional Afghan crafts to delicious local food. I highly recommend trying the kebabs and fresh bread from the street vendors. For history enthusiasts, the nearby ruins of Balkh, also known as the "Mother of Cities," are just a short drive away and offer a fascinating glimpse into ancient civilizations.
If you have more time, visiting the Ali Shrine Museum inside the Blue Mosque complex is a must. It houses some intriguing artifacts and provides deeper insights into the mosque’s history and significance.
Overall, Mazar-e-Sharif and the Blue Mosque are must-visit destinations in Afghanistan. The blend of history, culture, and beauty is unforgettable. #BlueMosque #MazarESharif #AfghanAdventure #TravelGoals 🕌🇦🇫
