Anonymous UserI recently stayed at a hotel in Penang for three nights and had a pleasant experience. The hotel was in a convenient location, close to Penang Hill and many local food stalls. My room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a nice view of the city. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Penang for a relaxing and comfortable trip.

Guest UserFantastic stay. The bed is comfortable and the lounge at level 1 has performance every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, 8:30-11.30pm. A good way to wind down with a drink. The food is a great portion and breakfast buffet is delicious too! It has a swimming pool, gym, spa services. The staff are polite and helpful. Great location with Gama shopping centre 5 mins away. It has a good supermarket and many other interesting shops and other shopping centres nearby.

RachelCyOverall, I had a pleasant stay and a good experience. The staff were all very polite, friendly, and helpful, which made us feel welcome throughout our stay.
The hotel itself is a little dated, and some areas could benefit from better maintenance. The tiles underneath the sink were cracked and looked as though they might come loose, which was a bit concerning. There were also some marks and stains around the sink area. They may simply be due to age or water stains, but they gave the bathroom a less clean appearance.
One thing that concerned me was the presence of Charlie ants (rove beetles). We noticed them outside the room, and there were also quite a few in the steam room. Although the hotel has placed notices to warn guests about them, they are extremely small and difficult to spot unless you look very carefully. Since contact with them can cause skin irritation, it was a little worrying.
Overall, the staff provided excellent service, and we enjoyed our stay. I hope the hotel can improve the maintenance of the facilities and continue taking measures to reduce the presence of Charlie ants, as these improvements would make the experience even better.

Ayza DansAn absolutely wonderful stay! The room was spotless, comfortable, and the service from the entire team was top-notch. What made our stay extra special was the sweet surprise—a complimentary cake from the hotel for our wedding anniversary! It was such a thoughtful touch that truly made our celebration memorable. Thank you so much for the amazing hospitality. We’ll definitely be back! ❤️✨
Giving it an 8/10—a bit noisy due to construction in progress

CashNieI had a truly satisfying experience.
First, let's talk about the location. There's a night market right downstairs. For breakfast, there's an excellent coffee shop nearby that serves Kaya toast and local specialties at reasonable prices – perfect for a morning meal. The night market offers a great variety of local food options for dinner, which is a fantastic experience. The hotel is also conveniently located for exploring all the attractions in George Town, whether you choose to walk or take a Grab.
Now, a special mention for the hotel itself. Everything from the ambiance, room layout, and especially the concierge service and the professionalism of the staff, was outstanding. Although the rooms show their age, they are incredibly clean, well-maintained, and smartly designed. It was a wonderful experience overall, and I highly recommend booking here. If I visit Penang again, I will definitely stay at this hotel. Many thanks to the hotel for their thoughtful, attentive, and professional service!

ne anWe arrived at the hotel on August 3rd, early in the morning, and were warmly welcomed by a lovely and friendly female staff member. 😍😍😍 She arranged for us to check into room 4325. Although there was a language barrier, we managed to communicate simply using our phones 😀😀😀😀, and she assigned us to a room we were happy with. We had originally booked a windowless room, but the kind staff member offered to upgrade us to a room with a window for free. 😊🥰🥰🥰.
However, upon entering the room, there were no toothbrushes. So, we went down to the lobby, and the kind staff member immediately provided us with some. But then, on the second night, after returning to the hotel from our activities, housekeeping still hadn't replenished the toothbrushes. With no other option, we went back to the front desk to ask for them. It was quite embarrassing. The male staff member there had no issues and immediately provided them to us. 😁😁 Since we only discovered the missing amenities late at night after returning to the hotel, on the third day, we went to the front desk to pick them up around noon. However, the staff member with glasses wearing a white uniform had a very bad attitude today. He said the room should have amenities and refused to give us any. As a result, when we went back to our room, it hadn't even been cleaned, let alone having the amenities replenished. Actually, these are minor issues, but since the hotel booking stated that amenities would be provided, we didn't bring our own. It's already quite embarrassing to have to go down to the lobby every time we return to our room and find no amenities. And that male staff member in the white uniform even gave us a look and had a terrible attitude. I'm actually very satisfied with the hotel's convenient location and the attitude of the general staff, and I was very happy. Although one staff member's attitude made me very unhappy and felt as if they were looking down on people. I hope the hotel realizes that if a customer needs amenities, and the hotel itself has failed to replenish them, and the customer isn't asking for extra, then their attitude should be a bit better. And they should still maintain a smile!

Lester T WongThe hotel's facilities are exceptional. On a clear day, the sea view is absolutely stunning, with a vast ocean panorama right outside the room window. If the weather is good, you can even catch the sunset.
I gave the facilities five stars because there are two swimming pools: one children's pool with a small slide, and a sky pool more suitable for adults. You can order food by the sky pool, and it's quite good.
Additionally, for families with children, there's a kids' playground with various activities. Children aged five and above can be looked after, allowing adults to go to the gym or do other things, which is a very thoughtful service.
I only gave the hotel's location and cleanliness three stars. The location is quiet but there's nothing else nearby. Typically, beachfront hotels are closer to night markets, especially this one which is quite secluded. The hotel does offer a shuttle service, but when I enquired, they didn't mention the need for a reservation, and there was only one scheduled trip. I arrived 15 minutes early only to be told I needed a reservation, and by then, it was full. Luckily, a 10-minute taxi ride still works.
Regarding cleanliness, the room attendant didn't clean properly. Leftover takeout food was still in the room, which was quite disappointing.

Angelo_007This hotel is an excellent introduction to Penang as it was for me on my first day in town exploring and getting to know the main city area. Close to downtown center the hotel provides an ideal location for explorers who want to be close to all the major sites Penang has to offer. In the immediate area is George Town with venues including the Clan Jetties, UNESCO heritage sites, Armenian Street and a vast array of street art all worth stopping to visit.
The hotel itself is clean and tidy with helpful and friendly staff who went out of their way to help accommodate me upon my early arrival (holding my luggage until check in time). The room was comfortable and for amenities there was an onsite laundry room that helped ensured traveler like me had the opportunity to refresh their baggage for the next adventures ahead.
As a heads up to future travelers: the hotel is located near some stunning mosques that although were great to visit, do have prayer sessions throughout the day and night which all hotel travelers can clearly hear in their rooms. Not recommended for light sleepers or anyone who minds the sound. Overall the hotel was a great place to start my Penang stay and exploration.
