The hotel's location and cleanliness were excellent. The rooms were very large. The staff were helpful and friendly. We didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on that, but a hotel this nice definitely has a good breakfast. If I were to go back, I would definitely stay at this hotel again. It's about a six-minute walk to the center. I look forward to returning. The only thing I didn't like was that we specifically requested a quiet location, away from the elevator. However, they had assigned it directly across from the staff room, and almost every 10 minutes, someone would come in and out, and the door would slam, which started early in the morning. That was the only downside. A hotel I can definitely recommend. Best regards.

We spent 3 nights at the Lansdown Grove. Absolutely lovely stay. All of the staff were amazing. So friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was fine. Clean , a lovely shower and plenty of tea/ coffee. The restaurant is really nice and the food is superb ( particularly the Butter Chicken ). Excellent breakfast. Only downside is the parking charge of £1 a day. Not necessary to charge residents to park. We will return . H

I was really worried that I would have a room further away. Lucky we had took next to each other and a door in between each room. So we can be close but separate at the same time. Booked here as my children love the vhooxe of breakfast!

The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, equipped with a mini-bar and a kettle. Breakfast was excellent, featuring a make-your-own waffle station. There's also a small gym available. A large overnight parking lot is conveniently located just a short distance from the hotel, which is great if you're driving. Just one block north, you'll find a variety of restaurants, and the famous Roman Baths are only a few more steps away. However, the front desk staff spoke extremely fast, seemingly oblivious to the fact that we were foreigners and struggled to understand. They just rattled on. This really highlighted a lack of consideration and customer service on their part!

I stayed at The Z Hotel Bath for a short city break and was genuinely impressed. The location couldn’t be better—right in the centre of Bath, just minutes from the Roman Baths, shops, and restaurants. Everything was walkable, which made exploring super easy. The room was compact but cleverly designed, clean, and modern. I had a windowless room, which I initially wasn’t sure about, but it turned out to be quiet and great for sleeping. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless with a good shower. One of the highlights was the complimentary cheese and wine served in the evening—such a lovely touch and not something you’d expect at this price point. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience feel really welcoming. If you’re looking for a stylish, no-fuss place to stay in Bath with a great central location and thoughtful extras, I highly recommend The Z Hotel. I’ll definitely stay again next time I’m in town!

The room is actually nice and quite big. There is a living room and a bedroom. Our room faces north, facing the big tree and the house on the mountain in the distance. Both windows can be opened. There are no gauze curtains, only curtains, but the house opposite is not facing is actually okay. The bathroom is very clean, with typical German-style bathroom facilities, wall-mounted toilets, beige tiles, large bathtubs and showers, and a hot towel rack for plumbing. Simple and practical. Facilities: There is no refrigerator in the room, so there is a pantry on the second floor, which has a refrigerator and some free soda, milk, popcorn, and fruit. Two bottles of mineral water are given in the room. After drinking, you can go to the pantry's filtered water facility to fill new ones. Hygiene: The sanitation is okay, at least the bathroom is cleaned very clean. I saw that the bed was made when I came back at night, but they didn't help fold the clothes, which is different from Asian hotels. Service: The hotel bar is very good, a pot of tea is only 4 pounds, and the breakfast is also delicious, so you don't have to go out for breakfast. The service staff are also very enthusiastic. The location is very good, it takes about 10 minutes to walk from the station. Bath itself is very small, so it is close to everything. Overall, it is a good choice to stay in Bath, at least this hotel does not require climbing a slope. 😂

Very friendly and welcoming, accommodating staff who are helpful with requests and a fab location right in the centre. Nice breakfasts. Rooms are exceptional value, albeit some areas / parts of the rooms are a little rough around the edges. Would definitely visit again. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Advantages: Leaving the lively city center, just living on the first floor, the beautiful garden outside the window, has a really relaxing time. The room is large and the facilities are old but complete with a vintage feel. The breakfast bagel is a big highlight, and the standard breakfast is comparable to other UK hotels, which is amazingly delicious. The service staff is also very warm and friendly, but also very humorous, all kinds of jokes with me. Disadvantages: My so-called big bed is made up of two single beds, one can't sleep in the middle.

GGuest UserThe hotel had great location and tasty breakfast. The room was nice and good toilet. Great room service for bringing your delivered food to your room for you. However the staff needs to improve their communication skill and knowledge. I was told that I could buy breakfast prior to the day I want the breakfast and I didn’t have to book a time slot. However when I wanted to check out I was told that I was charged the price of the breakfast that is bought on the day, not the day prior. I later talked to the staff and they understood their staffs mistake. The hotel doesn’t have dinner service I was told.

LLiam and JennyAttended on Tuesday 27th Feb. Paid a little extra for room with a bath as like the couple ****** we are, we wanted a bath in Bath. My wife's first time ever visiting here. The hotel is a lovely setting, there is history here and all the staff have been wonderful. Close to the station, literally in front of it, and close to everything. Had the great pleasure of having many encounters with Tim, one of the reception staff and I believe concierges. Super pleasant and always helpful. We had breakfast included and after having that this morning can honestly say it's bang for your buck, with hot food to order including steak and eggs, (best steak my wife has had in the UK), a breakfast grill and a selection of others plus a typical selection of baked goods and fruits. The bar is pleasant and we enjoyed drinks last night before heading up to our room. Strawberry daiquiri we have had many times but the Amaretto sour was an interesting twist with a strong lemon zest. The only downside to the visit would be the bath/shower experience. Lukewarm bath and cold shower when we attempted it last night. This morning we got hot water for a total of ten mins to share before it went cold again. Not the worst thing all in all but a downside considering the extra pricing for a bathtub room. I was however assured that had I brought it to the desks attention I would have been assisted and I had just done the British thing of not wanting to fuss. One last perk that made an impact to me; free luggage storage. We checked out early so we could make the best of our time exploring Bath before we ride home. We were offered free luggage storage for even after we checked out so we could come back in quick before our train at 3pm and grab our bags and go, no extra charge. Fantastically useful as the Abbey tour does not allow luggage inside and we wanted to go. Anyway, thank you to Tim and all the staff at The Royal for making us feel welcomed and our time there special, we will definitely be coming back someday soon and will stay again. - Liam and Jenny Stephenson, Room 109. GGuest UserOne of the cheaper hotels that we could find in Bath but it wasn't a budget stay. We booked a double room with a sofa bed and got upgraded to two doubles and a sofa bed so the kids were happy. All the staff were very professional and nothing was too much trouble. There were complimentary cookies and popcorn on offer. Location was perfect for the tourist sites of Bath.

GGuest UserIt was a very special reunion for a group of nurses celebrating 50 years since we started our course in May 1975. In those days this hotel was a nurse's home and we all lived here for around 18 months. We had booked lunch, the food was lovely and the service was amazing. We so enjoyed our stay, 5 of us stayed for one or two nights. So beautiful and peaceful, couldn't have been better. Benice organised things for us, highly recommend her if you are booking an event.

GGuest UserWe booked 2 nights for a relaxing spa weekend. Based on it being a spa hotel. We planned on staying in the hotel for the whole weekend.  When we arrived we were told there was no restaurant or bar we can use as it’s only used for events.  We then had some lunch in the spa cafe. Food was ok. Service was terrible.  We then went to the room as we were able to check in. The cleaner was still there. Very apologetic extremely polite and lovely. The room was absolutely wonderful. Large bedroom bathroom and living room.  We went out and found a pub for food. When we returned to relax in the room we found the party was directly below us and in full swing. Very loud and noisy and the smoking area was right outside our window. We called reception but they were fully booked. Glad to say it all stopped at midnight.  We went down to breakfast at 9.30. Not much left and the full breakfast was cold. When we questioned it we were just told”well it has been there since 7” it had just sat on the side in silver trays for 2.5 hours, no heat or option to reheat. It wasn’t edible.  We skipped breakfast that we paid for on the second day.  We then thought we would spend some time in the spa. Ha! Well the pool is small, no where to relax just a couple of plastic chairs, not a spa at all. It had a very small sauna and steam room. The jacuzzi didn’t work it was just a pool of cloudy water with a few bubbles.  Would not recommend. Seems it used to be and could be a wonderful place to be but has been taken over and lost its sole. Such a shame as the building and grounds are wonderful.  I have to add the cleaning staff and lady on reception were wonderful, welcoming and friendly.

GGuest UserAmazing value for money; simple selections of food, compact no frills chalets: could do with a bit of attention to detail with deep cleaning; decent bedding and towels, fantastic and varied entertainment generally throughout the day and late into the evening; most acts are really good. Nice to be able to set up to work remotely in the ballroom during the day and take in the fun that holiday makers are having. The Blue Coats are an engaging team. Drink prices are OK for a setting like this. We are 53 and 58 and on the younger scale of most holiday makers but whatever age, this adult only holiday park delivers quality for money hands down. Bus travels from the road outside the site to Weston Super Mare hourly during the day; beach is just a walk away down the site entrance. Taxi's are affordable if a comfi trip into town is wanted. Can imagine how amazing this establishment will be in summer (and they don't seem to hike the prices to eye watering levels during the warmer months). The range of themed weekday stays (4 days Mon-Fri) and weekend (Fri-Mon) are varied. We need to be in the WSM area for a couple of months - staying at various hotels / establishments, but now we have found Sand Bay, we have chosen to book here for several weeks back to back. For that reason, we have brought our own bedding with us, to personalise our chalet and make it more homely for our extended stay. Reception team are generally welcoming and efficient and Jade the holiday booking team member is ever so helpful. Well done Sand Bay!

SshannyzhangThe service at this hotel was excellent. Due to an unexpected change in our travel plans, we had to modify our original two-day stay, changing both the dates and duration. The hotel staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly, and kindly waived any change or cancellation fees. For parking, you need to get a discount code from the front desk, which brings the cost down to £17.5. Otherwise, it's £50 for 24 hours. PS: A few days after we checked out, an unpleasant incident happened. We had definitely paid for parking when we left, but a few days later, the hotel emailed us, claiming we hadn't paid and threatening a £35 fine. My advice to anyone renting a car in the UK is to always keep your receipts for parking fees and any other similar expenses.
