Introduction Sunsets in San Francisco

Introduction
Some information may have been translated by Google Translate
San Francisco is located on the Pacific coastline of California and has a spectacular coastline landscape. As the sun slowly sets into the Pacific Ocean, the entire city is shrouded in beautiful orange and red light, creating a tranquil and romantic atmosphere. As the landmark of San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge is even more majestic at this time. Its silver cables and bridge body shine brightly under the setting sun, and together with the sparkling sea in the distance, it weaves a breathtaking picture. Walking in the streets and alleys of San Francisco, whether standing at Fisherman's Wharf and looking into the distance, or strolling on the trails of Golden Gate Park, you can feel this gift from nature. As the sun gradually sinks into the horizon, the color of the sky is constantly changing, from orange-red to violet, and then to deep blue. Each color is so pure and deep that it seems to wash away the dust in people's hearts.

Before May 29, 2023, the second floor exhibition is free 🔷After entering the museum, go straight to the 7th floor - the exhibition about the polar, glacier and climate 'Erratic' 'Erratic' is a huge stone that is drifted far away by melting glaciers. Charriere drills the rock core in the way of drilling ice cores. Each drilling makes the huge stone lighter and more fragile - a metaphor for the current environmental crisis. Only when people squat down can they see the hollow and fragile of the huge stone. The polar ice core seals the climate history and geological history, and the stone cores arranged on the ground like rollers hint at an ancient way of transporting heavy objects. Charriere seems to be linking the process of human and earth interaction with the similarity of forms. In front of the flashback background of the night glacier snowstorm, watching the form of water, being dominated by the sound hanging above the head, moving repeatedly, feeling different sound effects at different standing points, as if walking through ice caves, glaciers, ice waterfalls, oceans, snowstorms, imagining the power of ten thousand jun in the crazy snowflakes. (Later, I saw a sentence in the sightline photography exhibition on the second floor 'Wherewe stand directly impacts what we see', not only what we see, everything we hear and perceive is related to the subject's position, space and senses are inevitably related) 🔷There is a soundscape exhibition 'Ongoing' on the 7th floor balcony. The music chanting in the horn is constantly reshaped by the light, architecture, and city sound of San Francisco. Seagulls seem to like listening to music, sitting steadily under the sound, and there is a lonely seagull squatting round and round between the glass skyscrapers - hiding outside the sea, and the Blue Sail downstairs responds from afar - the wind is sailing on the blue scarf.

3 days in San Francisco: Day 1

Recently spent 3 days in SF and have been here many times growing up, so decided to share what I personally think are the “must visits” as a tourist in the Bay to make your trip worth it! 1. Ferry Building ⛴️ Let’s start here! There are usually flea/farmers markets on the outside! Great for getting gifts or the usual San Francisco t-shirts. There used to be wayyyy more shops inside :( but theres like a store selling local art/creations, good if you love to support the local art scene! There’s also blue bottle coffee within the building for all you coffee lovers to sip on that hot latte and enjoy the breeze while watching the ferry boats ☕️🫶🏼 2. Pier 39 / Fisherman’s Warf 🦭 After visiting the ferry building and taking photos of it’s beautiful scenery of the sea outside, you can walk down the piers from ferry boat building or take the Muni bus (8-12min ride) to Pier 39 / Fisherman’s Warf! Here you can see the sea lions sun bathing & Alcatraz prison (the inspiration for Azkaban in HP) 🧙🏼 You can then walk down even more to just enjoy the scenery and breeze, go to the mini shops and carousel, or have a bowl of clam chowder! My favourite is Boudin’s clam chowder in sourdough bread bowl 🫶🏼 3. SF Cable Car Ride 🚠 A few more piers down til the end (about Pier 45) you can walk to the cable car terminal and ride it along SF! It stops at places like Chinatown or other touristy spots as well! You can also drop at the very last stop for some shopping at Union Square.. If the shops are even still open (they close at like 6) 🤭 That’s all for a chill day in the Bay, stay tuned for 2 and 3! #sanfranisco #pier39 #whattodo

Legion of Honor Free Guide to See Monet

Legion of Honor Free Guide to See Monet

💫 The Legion of Honor is one of my favorite museums, often referred to as the 'Little Louvre of the Bay Area.' Not only does it have a rich artistic atmosphere inside, but the exterior architecture is also exquisite and elegant, making it perfect for photos📸. This time, I came specifically to see Monet's classic painting 'Water Lilies,' and it was truly worth the trip. Absolutely stunning😍! 🎯 Must-See Highlights: 1️⃣ Monet's 'Water Lilies': In addition to this classic piece, there are several other Monet paintings on display, all with soft colors and rich charm🖼️. 2️⃣ Rodin's 'The Thinker': This sculpture exudes a strong artistic vibe and is impressive to see in person🤔. 3️⃣ French Court-Style Rooms: These rooms recreate the luxurious style of the Louis XVI period, both magnificent and intricate💎👑. 4️⃣ 'Portrait of Hyacinthe': This painting depicts a French actress, with lifelike details and a beautiful portrayal✨. 5️⃣ Pointillist 'Eiffel Tower': The Eiffel Tower is presented with unique pointillist techniques, offering a distinctive charm🎨. 💡 Tips for Free Admission: 🎫 The regular ticket price is about $20, but here are some ways to save money👇: 1️⃣ Bay Area residents can enter for free every Saturday with valid ID🪪. 2️⃣ Free admission on the first Tuesday of every month, open to everyone. 3️⃣ On the first weekend of each month, Bank of America cardholders can visit for free. Just bring your bank card💳 and valid ID! This is how I got my free ticket~ 4️⃣ Get a $2 discount by showing proof of public transportation🚍. 🔄 Extra Perk: With the same-day ticket to the Legion of Honor, you can also visit the De Young Museum for free! I tested it myself, and it's a great deal. I'll introduce the De Young Museum in my next post, and I highly recommend checking it out💯. Legion of Honor Museum 🏛 Address: 100 34th Ave, San Francisco, CA 94121

Photowalk at Embarcadero

This was an unplanned trip because I only asked the BART staff which touristy place I can go. One of them replied to go to Embarcadero. I went and got off at the Embarcadero station. I just kept walking around. I was able to see a waterfront with a view of Baybridge. Some people were fishing around. There's a Marketplace and Ferry Building where I had my lunch and I kept browsing the shops too. There's an Exploratorium but it's closed on Monday so I wasn't able to enter Overall, I enjoyed my photo walk here. #travel #california #usa #awesomepic #urbanexplorer

Fisherman Wharf in San Francisco

Getting There - by car or bus Attractions - sea lions, food etc Hotels - various Food & Restaurants - various Shopping - souvenirs When I went to San Francisco, one of the places I wanted to check out was Fisherman Wharfs. whilst it is a touristy place with lot of shops including Hard Rock Cafe, it does have its famous attraction which is the Sea Lions at Pier 38. You will get to see, smell (haha) and hear the sea lions when you reach Pier 38. They are really loud and everyone is trying to get a shot of them from the ground to climbing up the viewing platforms. It is a interesting experience to take home and there are also a lot of interesting shops to buy your souvenirs. I even saw a dog pet shop called Bow Wow which sell all dogs related merchandise. #unforgettableexperiences #scenicspotguide #travelinspiration #urbanexplorer #sanfrancisco
