Introduction

The sunrise in Tai'an, especially the sunrise on Mount Tai, is a beautiful sight that every tourist cannot miss. When the morning light first appeared, the sky gradually turned white, and the entire Mount Tai seemed to be shrouded in a veil, looking mysterious and solemn. At this time, visitors can witness the magnificent scene of the sun slowly rising from the horizon by climbing to the Jade Emperor Peak, Riguan Peak or Zhanlu Terrace and other viewing spots on Mount Tai. As the sun gradually rises, golden sunlight fills the entire valley. The peaks, cliffs, cliffs and other unique landforms of Mount Tai shine in the morning light, surrounded by clouds and mist, as if you are in a fairyland. Dongping Lake, known as "Little Dongting", has a very charming sunrise view. Dongping Lake has vast waters and is surrounded by undulating mountains. At sunrise, the lake and mountains complement each other beautifully.

Climbing Mount Taishan: A Life-Changing Experience!

Climbing Mount Taishan: A Life-Changing Experience!

Family, Mount Taishan is truly worth it! Here's a super comprehensive guide. Hey everyone 👋 I just got back from my Mount Taishan "pilgrimage," and it was such an unforgettable trip. I have to share this piping hot guide with you all, so save it now! 📍Location: Mount Taishan is located in Tai'an City, Shandong Province. As the "Foremost of the Five Sacred Mountains," it's the ultimate climbing destination for countless people ⛰️ No matter where you're coming from, getting to Tai'an isn't difficult. If you take the high-speed train, Tai'an Station is very close to the Mount Taishan scenic area. After exiting the station, you can take a taxi or bus directly there; it's very convenient 🚗 🎫Reservation Guide: You need to make reservations in advance to visit Mount Taishan now, so don't just show up. Search for the "Mount Taishan Scenic Area" official account on WeChat, click on "WeChat Ticket Purchase" in the menu bar below, and follow the steps to select the date, time slot, and ticket type (adult, student, etc.). Fill in your personal information, and once the payment is successful, your reservation is complete 🎟️ Pay close attention to your reserved entry time slot; don't miss it, or you won't be able to enter. During peak season, it's crowded, so it's recommended to book about a week in advance to avoid your preferred time slot being snatched up. 🌟Highlights: 🌅Watching the Sunrise: This is an absolute must-do when visiting Mount Taishan! For that breathtaking sunrise, I crawled out of bed at 3 a.m. to start my night climb. The trail was bustling with people, all filled with anticipation for the sunrise, encouraging each other along the way. When we reached the summit and saw the first hint of dawn in the sky, gradually turning orange-red as the sun slowly rose, the feeling was truly indescribable. It felt like all the hard work was worth it! The best spots for sunrise viewing are at Jade Emperor Peak and Sun Viewing Peak. Remember to get there early to snag a good spot, or you'll just be looking at a sea of heads 🤣 🚶‍♂️Hiking: For those who love a challenge, I highly recommend hiking up the mountain. Starting from the Red Gate, follow the ancient stone path, ascending step by step. Along the way, you'll encounter numerous historical sites, as if traveling through time and walking alongside ancient people. At each pavilion, you can take a break and admire the stone carvings along the way, immersing yourself in the charm of history. However, hiking is quite physically demanding, so pace yourself. Rest when you're tired, and don't push yourself too hard. 🧘‍♀️Praying at the Summit: Mount Taishan has always been a sacred symbol in people's hearts, and the Bixia Temple at the summit is a popular place of worship. You can buy incense here and make a wish; who knows, it might come true! The feeling of being enveloped by the sacred atmosphere is truly magical. 🍜Food Recommendations: After climbing the mountain, you definitely deserve a good meal! 🥘Taishan Three Delights: Cabbage, tofu, and water. These seemingly simple ingredients create a surprisingly delicious soup. A bowl of this will warm you up and instantly dispel any fatigue. 🍲Stir-fried Chicken: Tai'an's stir-fried chicken is also a must-try. The chicken is tender and flavorful, paired with fragrant pancakes. Carbs plus protein, pure bliss! I could devour two big bowls! 📸Photo Spots: Mount Taishan is full of picturesque scenery, perfect for capturing stunning photos. ✅Midway Gate to Heaven: The view here is expansive, allowing you to capture the rolling mountains and winding paths, creating a fantastic backdrop. ✅Eighteen Turns: This is the most challenging section of Mount Taishan. Have a friend take photos of you during the climb for a sense of accomplishment. ✅Summit: At sunrise, with the golden sky and sea of clouds as your backdrop, silhouette shots are absolutely stunning, creating a truly magical atmosphere! 💡Important Notes: 1. Bring a flashlight for night climbs. Although there are streetlights along the way, some areas are still quite dark. 2. The temperature at the summit is low, so regardless of the season, bring a thick jacket, or you'll freeze 🐶 3. There are many stalls selling water and food along the way, but the prices get higher as you go up. It's recommended to bring some light snacks and water. Mount Taishan is truly a place worth visiting again and again. Whether it's the challenging climb or the breathtaking sunrise, it will leave a lasting impression. Don't just dream about it, make it happen! Experience the charm of Mount Taishan, and you might even gain some unique life insights at the summit!

Tai'an | A spontaneous journey to conquer Mount Tai

Tai'an | A spontaneous journey to conquer Mount Tai

On a whim, I just went for it! Encouraged by someone, I boarded the train to Tai'an with only one thought in my mind—I wanted to be conquered by Mount Tai! (Actually, I was going to conquer it~😜) 🚄 On the evening of March 18th, I bid farewell to the bustling Shanghai and embarked on my journey to Mount Tai. The next morning, as the first rays of sunlight entered Tai'an Station, I was already eager to start my climbing adventure.🌅 Since we planned to rest on the first day, we chose the Ginza Jiayi Hotel on Qingnian Road in the center of Tai'an as our base. Although the hotel's bathroom had a peculiar smell, the surrounding environment was beautiful, which was perfect for a nice stroll and to taste the local cuisine.🏨 Day1⃣ Waking up in the morning, we found that we couldn't check into the hotel yet, so we decided to spend some time at Tianping Lake. The lake was shimmering with sparkling waves, and the scenery was picturesque, making me instantly fall in love with the place, even to the point of considering buying a house here!😂 At noon, we tasted the spicy and affordable Laowei Malatang at the old county yamen.🍲 In the afternoon, we returned to the hotel to rest and recharge. In the evening, we decided to have a good meal to celebrate. However, the Liangji Hotpot Chicken we carefully selected was a huge disappointment. The chicken was not tasty, the sauce was mediocre, and the self-service snacks were even harder to swallow.😣 It seems that the food journey still requires more effort! Day2⃣ In the morning, we packed our bags and set off towards Mount Tai. We chose to start from the Red Gate, a classic route that was crowded but the scenery along the way made us forget the fatigue. I started off full of confidence, but as the mountain path became steeper, I gradually felt overwhelmed.😓 Fortunately, there were various snack stalls along the way, and a ten-yuan melon instantly revived my energy!🍈 When we reached Zhongtianmen, we had a hearty lunch—beef noodles with fried chicken cutlet, delicious and affordable. Afterwards, we continued to climb, our clothes soaked with sweat, but the hiking stick in our hands became my most solid support.🧗‍♀ Finally, we reached the summit! Standing high and overlooking the mountains, at that moment, all the fatigue vanished.🌄 When descending, I had to take the cable car due to a sprained foot, and although I regretted not completing the entire journey, this trip was still very rewarding.🚡 In the evening, back in Tai'an, we tasted the delicious shedding cake, and our hungry stomachs made the food even tastier.🥐 This trip to Mount Tai not only allowed me to appreciate the magnificent natural scenery but also let me experience the meaning of travel. This year I started to really get into traveling, and I hope to explore more beautiful places in the future, experiencing different cultures and customs.🌍

Mount Tai Climbing Guide|Climbing this mountain for just one sentence

Mount Tai Climbing Guide|Climbing this mountain for just one sentence

"In this short life, we will eventually lose everything. So why not be bold, love someone, climb a mountain, and chase a dream." Because of this sentence, I came to Tai'an. For Du Fu's verse "I shall climb to the summit and see all other mountains dwarfed," I reached the top of Mount Tai. · Tai'an, this small city, is named after Mount Tai. Throughout history, many literati, poets, emperors, and generals have left their footprints here. One must experience it in their lifetime. Let me share my climbing experience and tips. · ⛰️【Climbing Preparation】 -Clothing: It is extremely hot in Tai'an in July. Be sure to wear light, sweat-absorbing, and sun-protective clothing. Whether climbing up or down, it consumes a lot of energy, and you will sweat a lot. Climbing during the day is very hot, with no shade around, making it uncomfortable. It's best to wear hiking shoes or sports shoes that are breathable and have soft soles. -Supplies: Try to minimize the equipment you carry. A sun hat is useful, but avoid using a parasol as it is heavy and cumbersome. If your physical strength allows, bring some water-rich fruits and vegetables like cucumbers and apples. Supplies on the mountain are expensive, but if you find it too heavy to carry, just bring some water. Those who sweat a lot can prepare some salt to replenish electrolytes, and functional drinks are also an option. You can prepare a hiking stick to save some energy. You will find that most people climbing up end up crawling with all fours as their legs give out. -Photography: Whether climbing up or down, it is very tiring, and many places are steep. A camera can feel like a burden, so a mobile phone will suffice. Drone photography is not allowed! ⛰️【Climbing Suggestions】 -Climbing Time: If you want to see the sunrise, sleep well the day before so you have the energy to start at night. Climbing at night doesn't require sun protection, and after watching the sunrise in the morning, you can take the cable car down as your energy will be depleted. For daytime climbing, refer to my suggestions and try to climb in the morning. It gets too hot in the afternoon. We took the cable car up and walked down bit by bit, but it was still exhausting. This is the saying, "It's easy to climb up but hard to climb down." -Stamina Maintenance: There are supply stations at intervals on the mountain, but prices are high. If you didn't bring enough, don't be stingy with money; your health is more important. Whether climbing up or down, remember it's a long battle. Walk slowly and steadily, don't rush, or your legs won't be able to take it. Especially when descending, it's hard to avoid calf pain, so take it easy. ⛰️【Personal Insights】 -After climbing Mount Tai, you'll feel like you can accomplish many things. This is the psychological reward of climbing. -If you want to climb Mount Tai, don't waste too much energy and strength on any attractions at the foot of the mountain. You can visit them another day if you want to explore thoroughly.

Mount Tai: Being tired is temporary, but being handsome is for a lifetime

Mount Tai: Being tired is temporary, but being handsome is for a lifetime

I went to climb Mount Tai at night, and I have to speak some truth, I feel that the descriptions online are a bit exaggerated. First of all, it's really not that difficult. The infamous Eighteen Bends that people talk about online, I think it's just average, not that steep, there's no need to use hands and feet together, most people can successfully challenge it, really don't feel pressured. If you're not physically strong, just start earlier, climb slowly, and rest a few times along the way. Secondly, about the military coat, you don't have to rent one, just bring a hardshell jacket or an outer coat. If you don't insist on getting the best spot to watch the sunrise on the mountain, you can time your arrival at the summit. We reached the South Heaven Gate at 4 am, took our time taking pictures, and then arrived at the Jade Emperor Peak at 4:30 am to wait for the sunrise, and only waited for more than 20 minutes to see the sunrise, there's no need to rent a military coat, a non-fleece hardshell jacket is completely sufficient, but it's true that the wind is strong at the summit. However, if you want to get a front-row spot to watch the sunrise, and you're squatting there at two or three in the morning, then you should rent a military coat. You can rent it at the South Heaven Gate, no need to rent in advance. Regarding the weather, there's a bit of a gamble. The weather forecast always showed cloudy or rainy. On the day we arrived, it was still raining in Tai'an, but when we started climbing, there was no rain at all. At 4:55 am, the sunrise was actually already happening, but it was covered by clouds, some people didn't want to wait and left, at 5 am, the sun suddenly broke through the clouds. So, you can't completely trust the weather forecast. Fourth, about the hiking stick, you must buy one, the hiking stick is really useful.

Convenient Route: Tianwai Village Visitor Center (buy tickets to enter the mountain) ➡️ Longtan Reservoir ➡️ Bailong Pool ➡️ Heilong Pool ➡️ Bamboo Forest Temple ➡️ Huangxi River Reservoir ➡️ Fanzi Cliff ➡️ Aolai Peak ➡️ Zhongtianmen (take the cable car) ➡️ Nantianmen ➡️ Bixia Temple ➡️ Jade Emperor Peak. Other Notes: Clothing: It is cold in winter, so a windbreaker or thick down jacket is needed to protect against the mountain wind. Choose windproof and lightweight clothing to make climbing easier. Windproof hats, scarves, and gloves are essential. Gloves are very useful when holding onto the mountain or handrails. Wear hiking shoes or sneakers that are lightweight and warm. Bring a hiking stick, which is very useful. You don't need to bring a lot of food and drinks, as carrying a heavy load is tiring. Food is also available on the mountain, although it is a little more expensive. If you are bringing children, you can bring some food.

Mount Tai trip

Mount Tai trip

Thank you to the organization!!! Thank you to the leaders!!! Thank you to the Party!!! A bit regretful, I didn't stay on the mountain to take pictures of the sunrise the next day (due to physical reasons, I couldn't handle it) so I made a quick decision and came down before it got dark🥹 I didn't encounter the Nine Dragons Coffin at the summit of Mount Tai, sorry, I can't take you guys to push through, probably because of: the wrong time, the wrong place, the wrong person🫠 I suggest that everyone who has time should try climbing it, after all, as the foremost of the Five Great Mountains, it does have its merits. Tomorrow I will bring back
