My favourite city - Berlin!!

My favourite city - Berlin!!

Berlin is one of my favourite cities in the world!! It has so much to offer on both culturally and in terms of authentic living. The obvious tourist sights are definitely worth visiting, for example; the TV tower and Berlin cathedral. But it is also worth taking some time to walk through the streets and visiting popular student haunts, such as; Holzmarkt 25 and Klunkerkranich for a great view over the whole city!! Dont forget to take a photo in a photoautomat, the many photo booths situated all around the city, which is a great souvenir of your trip!! #berlin #city #nightlife #Culture #photos

Germany | Berlin | German Museum of Technology

Germany | Berlin | German Museum of Technology

🇩🇪Germany | Berlin | Berlin | German Museum of Technology Recently, it happens to be Museum Week in Germany. On the first Sunday of August, museums are free, but you need to make an appointment online. So I came to the German Museum of Technology, and I was attracted by the plane hanging on the top floor from the outside!!! ⬇️ The plane hanging on the top floor✈️ The plane on the top floor looks very impressive from outside the museum. ⬇️ 1:100 scale model of Zheng He's voyages This model is so exquisite! As soon as I entered the exhibition hall about ships, I was immediately attracted by it! ⬇️ Indoor airplane exhibits on the top floor Each floor displays a different category, with the top floor dedicated to airplane exhibits. The floors are arranged in the order of water, land, and air from bottom to top. ⬇️ Airplane cockpit It would be great if we could sit inside and experience it! ⬇️ A propeller of a certain airplane ⬇️ A painting with an idea It seems to be a painting created from people's fantasies about flying in the sky, which later led to the invention of tools like hot air balloons that float in the air. ⬇️ Science Center Spectrum The experience here is super strong! Highly recommend visiting the Science Center Spectrum when you go to the Technology Museum. ⬇️ Taking advantage of Germany's 9-euro monthly ticket, plus a friend made an appointment for free museum visits on Sunday. We went to Berlin on Sunday to see the German Museum of Technology, and it was really quite interesting. I had never seen Zheng He's ship before, but I didn't expect to see it in this museum. How should I put it, for someone like me who lacks knowledge of history, seeing this ship, a real object in front of me, made me recall history. Standing next to the ship model, I reviewed my knowledge about Zheng He again. Seeing the real object and relearning the knowledge makes the memory deeper. Compared to this Technology Museum, the adjacent Spectrum Center offers a stronger experience. It reminded me of the Copernicus Science Center in Poland. Both focus on experiential learning.

Berlin / Germany

Berlin / Germany

A number of friends recommend me to visit Berlin, which I duly did. The majority of Berlin however is populated by modern, inmemorable multi-storey office and apartment blocks, which is what I spend most of my time walking past in order to reach the interesting buildings.

Café au Lait

#europetrip All we had was delicious. Delicious cappuccino. Nice music. They have Wi-Fi. A lot of tables are booked for breakfast between 10:00 and 12:00. Some people are working with laptops. Close to U-Bahn. The team is friendly, helpful and works so fast! Great place in general. I liked the design and concept a lot. I definitely will come back, but I recommend reserving a table. You can do that online, it's super easy.

3 days in Berlin

Berlin is probably one of the cheapest European capitals to visit. Hotels here are on average 50% cheaper than in other western capital cities. 3 nights in a 3* hotel near KaDeWe was just over €120 for three nights incl breakfast. Magnificent value! Must sees are Berlin Wall (U/SBahn Warschauer Str), KaDeWe (UBahn Wittenberge Platz) and TV Tower (U/SBahn Alexanderplatz). Make sure to try local Döner (kebab). They are massive, tasty and only cost around €5 each. #fernsehturm #berlin#dürüm

Step into the pirate playground

Located at the westside of Volkspark, Friedrichshain is the Spielplatz Friedenstrasse (pirate-themed playground). Most of people will not miss it when walking along the Friedenstrasse because of the slide that is designed like a pirate boat. Kids will surely love it, when pirate costume is often the popular choice of costume. Another interesting thing about playgrounds in Germany is that they are built "dangerously" with the purpose of teaching children how to overcome the obstacles and navigate dangerous situations. Instead of the usual rubber mulch flooring in other countries, it is more common to find sand flooring in German playgrounds. Parents please be rest assured of the safety though, as all playgrounds equipment is certified by the TÜV (Association for Technical Inspection). #fallingforfall #berlin

Palatial Interiors: 🖼️🛋️

Step into the White Hall, where grandeur meets sophistication. Adorned with stately Corinthian columns and intricate stucco decorations, this magnificent hall sets the tone for the palace's opulent interiors. The soaring ceiling, embellished with delicate frescoes depicting scenes of mythological grandeur, evokes a sense of awe and reverence. Gilded Splendor Marvel at the Golden Gallery, a dazzling display of baroque extravagance. Ornate gilded moldings adorn every surface, reflecting the flickering light of crystal chandeliers suspended from the ceiling. Richly woven tapestries line the walls, depicting scenes of courtly life and heroic deeds, transporting visitors to a bygone era of aristocratic luxury.

Beautiful Beautiful - exceeded expectations

#eurotrip to #berlin in #germany With busy night life and amazing architecture, Berlin is by far a capital that stands out and defines itself not only as a city and capital but a city that has stood the test of time. Its people have witnessed this city grow from a settlement of Germanic tribes to the economic, tech and cultural powerhouse it is today. Berlin is a city that combines excellent touristic points of interest, great city vibe and very easily accessible. Within a weekend, you can most certainly visit the city and if you want, you can even combine it with Potsdam. It truly is a family and visitor friendly city, feels safe all throughout. #passionpassport #urbanexplorer
