Introduction
Some information may have been translated by Google Translate
Yili is a great place to enjoy lavender in China. The lavender sea is dreamy and endless, with purple waves jumping and dancing in the sun.
Huocheng County is the core planting area of Yili lavender, and is known as the "Hometown of Chinese Lavender". Ten thousand acres of lavender fields are scattered along the hillside valleys, forming unique landscapes such as "Purple Flower River" and "Flower Field Terraces". In Princess Jieyou Lavender Garden, tourists can also participate in harvesting ceremonies, theme photography and other activities. In the Tianshan Flower Sea Tourist Scenic Area in Yining County, more than 20,000 acres of lavender and the mountains in the distance complement each other, which is magnificent.
The Yili River Valley is surrounded by mountains on three sides, with sufficient sunshine, humid climate, and large temperature difference between day and night, providing excellent conditions for the growth of lavender. When the breeze blows and the fragrance of flowers is overflowing, tourists can stroll along the flower paths, take photos and check in, feel the romantic atmosphere, and let their body and mind indulge in this purple romance.

Ili, a must-visit destination in your lifetime.

Ili, a must-visit destination in your lifetime.

🌍It is said that one should either read books or travel, and that the body and soul must always be on the road. For me, who loves to travel, every time I embark on a new journey, it is a romantic encounter with the world. And this time, I set my sights on Ili, a land of exotic charm, where nature's wonders abound, and embarked on an unforgettable journey of exploration. Preparation before departure 🎒Documents: ID card, various discount cards (student card, senior citizen card, etc.). These are your essential "passports" for travel, so don't forget them! 🧳Clothing: Ili has a large temperature difference between morning and evening, so even in summer, it is recommended to bring a thick coat. If you are traveling in spring, autumn, or winter, you should also prepare warm clothing, such as down jackets and sweaters. 👟Shoes: Comfortable sneakers or hiking shoes are your best travel companions, whether you are strolling through the city streets or exploring natural scenic spots, they will keep your feet relaxed and comfortable. 🌂Other: Sunscreen (sunscreen, sunglasses, sun hat), rain gear, and common medicines (cold medicine, stomach medicine, etc.). Be prepared and enjoy your journey with peace of mind. Itinerary Day 1: 📍Morning: Arrive at Yining, the capital of Ili, and head to Hanren Street. This street is full of ethnic charm, with colorful handicrafts and fragrant food, making you feel like you are in a bustling folk market. 📍Afternoon: Visit the Ili River Scenic Area, stroll along the riverbank, and admire the magnificent scenery of the Ili River. Watch the sparkling river water shimmer under the sun, and feel the gentle breeze on your face. 📍Evening: Enjoy dinner at Liuxing Street, where you can find various local delicacies. After dinner, you can stroll through the streets full of artistic atmosphere, and you may even encounter enthusiastic locals singing and dancing. Day 2: 📍Morning: Head to Huocheng County and visit the Lavender Manor (if the season is right, June-August is the lavender blooming season). The vast lavender fields are like a dream, and the air is filled with a faint floral fragrance. Every shot is a masterpiece. 📍Afternoon: Head to Guozigou Bridge, a spectacular bridge spanning the valley, blending in with the surrounding mountains and rivers. Stand on the observation deck and overlook the entire bridge, and you can't help but admire the wisdom of mankind and the wonders of nature. 📍Evening: Check into a guesthouse near Lake Sayram, and prepare to watch the sunrise over the lake the next day. Day 3: 📍Morning: Wake up early and watch the sunrise over Lake Sayram. As the first ray of sunlight falls on the lake, the entire lake is dyed golden, and the beauty is breathtaking. Then stroll along the lake and admire the beauty of Lake Sayram from different angles. 📍Afternoon: Return to Yining and visit the Kazak Folk Village. Take a ride on a traditional carriage and stroll through the colorful streets, experiencing the folk culture of the Kazak people. 📍Evening: Prepare to return, and end your Ili journey with a wealth of beautiful memories. Transportation within the city 🚗Public transportation: Yining has public buses that cover a wide area and are convenient and affordable. You can download a bus query app on your phone to easily check routes and arrival times. 🚕Taxi/online car-hailing: Taxis and online car-hailing services are also convenient for getting around the city, and the prices are relatively reasonable. No need to worry about getting lost, just tell the driver your destination. 🚙Car rental: If you want to explore Ili more freely, renting a car is a good choice. You can book a car online in advance, and you can pick up the car directly after arrival. You can stop at any scenic spot you like and enjoy your journey to the fullest. Accommodation 🏨Yining: There are many options available, and you can choose according to your budget and preferences. If you want to experience the local folk customs, you can choose to stay in a guesthouse near Hanren Street or Kazak Folk Village, with prices ranging from 200 to 500 yuan. If you are looking for comfort and convenience, hotels in the city center are a good choice, with prices ranging from 300 to 800 yuan. 🏡Lake Sayram: There are some guesthouses and hotels near Lake Sayram, but the prices are relatively high, especially during the peak season, ranging from 500 to 1000 yuan. If your budget is limited, you can also choose to stay in a place farther away from the scenic spot, and the price will be relatively cheaper. Food 🍜Stir-fried noodles: Ili's stir-fried noodles are a must-try. The noodles are chewy and flavorful, and they are served with a variety of rich ingredients, such as stir-fried meat and spicy meat. A large plate of noodles will satisfy your hunger. 🍲Hand-pulled rice: Made with mutton, carrots, onions, and rice, this dish is fragrant and the mutton is tender and juicy. The rice absorbs the aroma of meat and vegetables, and every bite is a burst of happiness. 🥟Steamed buns: Freshly baked steamed buns, with a golden and crispy outer skin, and a bite of the fragrant mutton filling, paired with a cup of hot milk tea, it's simply perfect. 🍢Mutton skewers: When you come to Xinjiang, how can you not eat mutton skewers? Fresh mutton, sizzling on the charcoal fire, sprinkled with cumin and chili powder, the aroma instantly fills the air, and every bite is tender and juicy, leaving you wanting more. 🍨Sour milk rice dumplings: Cut the rice dumplings into small pieces, pour thick sour milk, and then sprinkle a layer of white sugar or honey. The sweet and sour taste and rich texture are a refreshing and delicious dessert. Tips 📌The weather in Ili is changeable, so be sure to check the weather forecast before you go and make the necessary preparations. 📌When visiting scenic spots, please protect the environment, do not litter, and keep the scenic area clean. 📌Respect local customs and traditions, especially in minority areas, and do not take photos without permission. 📌If you choose to drive, be sure to check the road conditions in advance, pay attention to traffic safety, and drive cautiously when driving on mountain roads. 🌈This Ili journey is like a colorful dream. Every scenery, every food, every experience is deeply engraved in my heart. Ili, this land of charm, awaits more people to explore and discover its beauty. If you also yearn for a different journey, come to Ili and you will be captivated by its unique charm.

Xinjiang's Ili is truly the epitome of healing scenic beauty

Xinjiang's Ili is truly the epitome of healing scenic beauty

Xinjiang's Ili is truly the epitome of healing scenic beauty❗ Having been to many places, to be honest, there are not many that can move us to tears, but Ili is definitely one of them. It's still true that 'Without visiting Xinjiang, one does not know the vastness of China; without going to Ili, one does not know the beauty of Xinjiang.' This colorful valley at the foot of the Tianshan Mountains almost encapsulates the most beautiful summer in Xinjiang. It features thousands of peaks and ravines, overlapping mountain ranges, numerous fertile valleys, basins, and grasslands where herders live, every snapshot is wallpaper-worthy! Why is Ili so beautiful? It all starts with its unique geographical environment. Due to the Tianshan mountain range forming a westward rift here, the Ili River Valley enjoys abundant windward slope precipitation. Thus, in the land of Xinjiang, where high mountains, deserts, and Gobi dominate, the Ili River Valley has become a special and rare 'wet island.' This area is arguably the most humid in all of Xinjiang. As a result, Ili has a very high coverage of grasslands and forests. The vast grasslands, the sturdy and tall Tianshan spruce, and the continuous Tianshan mountain range are the signature landscapes of Ili. Many friends will hesitate between visiting Ili or the northern Xinjiang Kanas. Trust me, don't hesitate, you should visit both! Although Ili and Kanas are both in the broader northern Xinjiang region, the travel experience and scenery are quite different. The Ili River Valley at the foot of the Tianshan Mountains is mainly grassland scenery, with the three-dimensional grassland of Kalajun, the aerial grassland of Nalati, the World Natural Heritage site of Kuerdening... each with its own beauty, with dense and stunning scenery. While the scenery of northern Xinjiang's Kanas is not as climactic as Ili's, it wins with its rich and aggregated elements. Staying in a cabin by Kanas Lake for a few days, listening to a live performance by a Tuvan band, taking a few light hikes to explore some secret corners, chatting and drinking with friends, offers a more immersive travel experience and a sense of life. So generally speaking, we recommend first-time visitors to Xinjiang to go to northern Xinjiang, which encapsulates the essence of Xinjiang's scenery and has richer elements; we recommend those who prefer the pure beauty of grassland and river valley scenery to choose Ili. Recommended itinerary: D1 Urumqi - S101 Baili Danxia Viewing Platform - Dushanzi Grand Canyon - Kuitun D2 Kuitun - Sayram Lake - Huocheng Lavender - Yining D3 Yining - Yizhao Highway - Xata Tourist Area - Zhaosu D4 Zhaosu - Qiongkushitai - Tekes D5 Tekes - Kalajun Scenic Area - Gongliu D6 Gongliu - Qiaxi Forest Park - Xinyuan D7 Xinyuan - Tangbula Grassland - Nalati Grassland - Nalati D8 Nalati - Bayinbuluk Scenic Area - Nalati D9 Nalati - Duku Highway - Urumqi

I cried after returning from Xinjiang, a reminder for sisters planning to go to Xinjiang

I cried after returning from Xinjiang, a reminder for sisters planning to go to Xinjiang

👣There were so many people traveling to Xinjiang in July, and the queues were long. August has just started, and it's raining while queuing, which is quite frustrating😞. Although there will be fewer people in August compared to July✔️, it's really necessary to plan well before going. If you encounter rain and wind, and get cold on the road🥶, it can be really exasperating😡... 👉Those planning to go to Xinjiang can save this information. Checking it before departure will be really useful⭕. . 🌈Outfit Suggestions 1️⃣ A three-in-one jacket is highly recommended. You will need it in Xinjiang. Use the inner lining in the morning and evening, and remove it at noon. It's practical, saves space, and looks great in photos. 2️⃣ Bring a full-body sun-protective jacket. Put it on immediately after taking photos to avoid getting sunburned. 3️⃣ Comfortable walking shoes are essential. Martin boots are even better as there are many gravel roads. Also, bring an extra pair of slippers for the car; they are very comfortable! 4️⃣ You can buy some Uyghur headscarves, small hats, and vintage bags locally. They go well with everything! 5️⃣ A sun-rain umbrella is a must. It might be sunny for the first two days and then suddenly start raining. Be prepared😜. . 🍀Some truths about August ▪️In Ili, the temperature is around 25°C in August. Although it's still generally hot, it's not as hot as July, making the experience better. ▪️Many fruits ripen in August, such as grapes, Hami melons, apples, and figs. You might feel like you have the scenic spots, hotel rooms, and Duku Highway all to yourself, greatly enhancing the experience! Avoiding the peak tourist season in August will make your trip to Ili very different! ▪️Although Sayram Lake has started to turn yellow, you can still experience its unique beauty at sunrise and sunset🌊. Xinjiang Yili Summer Tour - Journey to a Heavenly Place with Your Loved One

Xinjiang Yili Summer Tour - Journey to a Heavenly Place with Your Loved One

💑 In the summer of 2024, join hands with your beloved and meet in the enchanting Xinjiang. Majestic snow mountains, verdant grasslands, crystal-clear lakes, and herds of cattle and sheep compose a picture of a paradise on earth, captivating the heart and soul😭. Last year, my six-day trip to Yili left me with countless wonderful memories and photos📷. Here are the must-visit places I highly recommend👇: 1️⃣ Sayram Lake - Known as 'the last tear of the Atlantic', Sayram Lake is especially blue in June and July. If you're lucky, you might even encounter elegant swans🦢. 2️⃣ Guozigou Bridge - Located near the south gate of Sayram Lake, from here you can take in the spectacular snow mountains, dense forests, and the majestic bridge, as if you are in a vivid painting, definitely worth a visit! 3️⃣ Xiatatu - This place is a convergence of glaciers, forests, and grasslands, offering a rich and colorful natural landscape. For those who love adventure and hiking, Xiatatu is undoubtedly an excellent choice. 4️⃣ Qiongkushitai - After a three-hour winding mountain road, we arrived at this undeveloped Kazakh village 'Qiongkushitai'. Riding horses through the back mountain trails, the scenery along the way is breathtaking, with distant snow mountains, grasslands, swings, and log cabins forming a touching picture. If time permits, do not miss the romantic sunset here🌇. 5️⃣ Qiaxi Forest Park - For a panoramic view of the primeval forest, Qiaxi is the best choice. Drive directly to Qiaxi's painting, every scene is worth capturing as a desktop wallpaper😭. Self-driving is convenient, but the roads may be rugged, so drive carefully~ 6️⃣ Nalati Grassland - In Nalati, we chose to drive through two routes: the sky grassland and the valley grassland. The magnificent scenery of Nalati, the flat roads, the wildflowers everywhere, and the valley grassland under the snow mountains make one linger and forget to return, very suitable for family travel, enjoyable for all ages! 7️⃣ Yining Liuxing Street - Don't miss this place, set aside one to two days to stroll through the colorful streets of Liuxing Street, capture beautiful photos of the interplay of light and shadow📸, and taste authentic Xinjiang cuisine: yogurt ice cream, pilaf, mixed noodles, barbecue, big plate chicken, Xinjiang fried rice noodles, and sweet melons and fruits🍉. The summer in Xinjiang Yili is as wonderful as a dream!!! ㊗️ Wishing everyone's trip is filled with laughter and beauty~
