Chuanshangxing~Jingdezhen Hotel is a feast for the eyes!

Chuanshangxing~Jingdezhen Hotel is a feast for the eyes!

Chuanshangxing~Jingdezhen Hotel is a feast for the eyes After comparing all the hotels in the Taoxi River area, I finally chose the newest Chuanshangxing~. It is indeed a hotel designed by an architect, with a full sense of form. There are many advantages and disadvantages. The service is barely passable, and I paid for the value. I just went to Jingdezhen last week and chose Chuanshangxing Hotel. The overall design is very strong. The yard is particularly out of the picture. It is said that it is a renovated abandoned factory. It is not recommended to live in. You can go in and take a card and take a photo. Advantages: The design is very strong, the hotel is very out of the picture, the room is quite large, fully equipped, the hotel has a party time in the afternoon to evening (popcorn and other snacks and small cakes) Disadvantages: The hotel is open, that is, you can come in if you don’t live here, so if you want to check in, just go in directly (you have to enter the password when you come up from the underground garage on the day of check-in, and then you find that there are tourists everywhere) The service attitude is very average. Probably because the business is not good, the service staff are all in the front desk and there are not many people living. Then breakfast is provided by portion (probably there are few people living without a buffet) The housekeeper keeps asking what time to eat in the group, blah blah blah...a little annoying

I found a hidden gem in Jingdezhen!!!

I found a hidden gem in Jingdezhen!!!

When I was choosing a place to stay, I was inclined to choose a hotel near Taoyangli and the surrounding scenic spots. However, when I was browsing the XC platform, a uniquely styled homestay caught my eye. Its unique exterior design immediately attracted my attention and prompted me to book it without hesitation. Unexpectedly, this homestay brought me a wonderful experience beyond my expectations. After arriving at the high-speed railway station, I couldn't wait to go to the homestay. As soon as I opened the door, a refreshing wood fragrance greeted me, and the fruits carefully prepared by the owner instantly relieved the fatigue and hardship of the journey. When night fell, after a day of sightseeing, I returned to the homestay and saw two cute puppies. What surprised me the most was that the homestay was equipped with a floor heating system and a temperature-controlled toilet seat, which made me feel as warm and comfortable as home in winter.

Jiangxi’s most artistic town

It’s no surprise that JingdeZhen is loved by many with its peaceful and tranquil yet artsy environment. I, a fellow ceramic artist had to go and it did not disappoint. 💜 📍 First Location: Taoyangli or Tao Yang Alley A beautiful complex containing museums, cafes, and ancient buildings, a mix of old and new. Spent about 2 hours strolling through here 📍 Second Location: Taoxichuan, a series of shops, cafes and local artists selling their goods, also home to a ceramics institute. The night scene was perfect. 📍 Third Location: Sanbao Village, a gorgeous and tranquil area spanning a few kilometers with shops, pottery studios and cafes lining the streets. Stopped for coffee at this cute ship with beautiful tiled walls. Sanbao village was absolutely breathtaking with its autumn backdrop. 🍂 #jingdezhen #travel #china

Jingdezhen—the China Ceramic Museum is amazing

Jingdezhen—the China Ceramic Museum is amazing

Although opinions on this travel destination vary online, I still think Jingdezhen is worth a visit. We checked in very slowly at Jingdezhen's kiln factories, Taoxi River, and several museums. 🌊 All these photos are from the Imperial Kiln Museum. Quiet, mysterious, stunning, and broken are the first impressions. After nightfall, we experienced the museum when it was empty, with only the crisp sound of the camera shutter and soft footsteps, leaving everything else to the eyes. We wanted to see the Imperial Kiln under the blue sky, so we came back the next morning. This time we walked into the alleys to feel the ancient kiln ruins; we climbed the high walls to see the groups of green tiles. • 🖍️ In 2020, this place was rated the second most beautiful museum in the world, and in 2021, it won the architecture Oscar award. 🖍️ The exhibition hall uses the arch shape of the kiln as a design element, and also has the smooth streamline of porcelain. Eight double-curved arch structures are connected in a scattered way, which is amazing both from a distance and up close. 🖍️ As a former royal kiln factory, the quality control here can be described as one in ten thousand, so if it doesn't meet the standard, it's directly smashed in the Imperial Kiln and buried deep underground. 🖍️ Therefore, the design concept of 'Imperial Broken Pieces' is ingenious. Most of the exhibits are related to fragments, and the traces of restoration give them a unique beauty of being broken. • 📌Tips: 1. Open 24 hours but generally until 9 PM 2. Book in advance for free 3. The light is the softest before 9 AM and after 4 PM 4. The alleys around, Pengjia Shangnong, are transformed from old kiln workers' dormitories and are worth exploring. In the outer wall of the alley, I saw a sentence that made me feel a lot of emotions. The ancient town has a thousand years of history, this is, the last home of ancient potters.

China’s Porcelain Capital

China’s Porcelain Capital

China’s City of Porcelain 👇🏻 Venturing into the world of porcelain in Jingdezhen was like stepping into a treasure trove that spoke to my soul! There’s said to be a history of over 2,000 years of porcelain making in Jingdezhen, a city renowned as playing an important role in Chinese porcelain production. If you’re visiting Jingdezhen, definitely make a stop at these stunning Porcelain Palaces. Comprised of three circular and one square “tulou”, these architectural structures are covered - literally floor to ceiling - in ceramics of all shapes, colours, sizes and patterns. Strolling through those ceramic-clad walls, I was struck by the sheer beauty and craftsmanship of it all. It felt like each piece had a story to tell, connecting me to the generations of artisans who poured their hearts into their work. 📍 Xinping Village, Fuliang County, Jingdezhen 💵 25 RMB Entry 🧭 Around 40 minutes drive from Jingdezhen City Center.
