#timetotravel We went to Xichang for a company retreat and we were given 1 day to just explore the place. We didn't intend to come to this beautiful place but we stumbled upon it and we thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing walk especially feeling the breeze coming from the lake. You can also rent a bike if you are not fond of walking . We did both because there are some areas that bikes aren't allowed. There are many placea for you to eat in around the lake so it is very convenient. We walked quite far from the main scenic area so there weren't a lot of tourists around us. Many locals return home to prepare for the festival, so I booked early. It worked out well for the two of us 💪 🌞 Weather: Xichang isn't too hot at this time of year, so get your photo-ready outfits ready 💝 🏠 Accommodation: Of course, we stayed at the Moonlight Town in the Xichang Jizhou Island branch! I chose the Shuxia Hotel in Xichang, a high-end hotel. The room had a terrace where you could sit and watch Qionghai Lake. There's also a café, perfect for taking photos. 🍚 Food: I highly recommend the Xiaoyucun BBQ 🍻. It's very unique, and any place you choose will have great flavors. If you can't handle spicy food, make sure to ask for mild spice. The must-try dish is the grilled fish slices. I can eat 20 skewers by myself! 😍😍😍 For breakfast, try the beef rice noodles. Hushan | Go hiking, climb the life-threatening Hushan
At 10 o'clock in the morning, we took a taxi to the Lushan slide cableway. There were many people climbing the mountain on holidays, and the queue had already lined up to the gate. The staff also issued stools for tourists to queue up. We bought a package of 65r for the uphill cableway and downhill slide. After buying tickets on the spot, we can take the cableway with the current team. It takes about 1h from queuing to getting on the cable car, so it is recommended to get up early and start climbing. After getting off the cable car, we first went to the viewing platform to overlook Qionghai, which is very suitable for taking pictures, but the sun is baking here, although it is cool in the mountains, it is still recommended to bring a sun hat or wear sun protection clothing. A few steps up from the viewing platform is the Sanfu Temple. After a simple visit, we entered the mountain road and soon encountered many monkeys. In fact, there are monkeys all the way to the Guanyin Pavilion, just because there are shops selling peanuts here, so there are more monkeys gathered. There are fierce monkeys, who will grab the water and bags of tourists, and those who deliver food will also be very excited, so in order to avoid attacks, put food such as water in the bag, and don't deliberately provoke monkeys, protect yourself.
