The most satisfying thing about this trip is this hotel. It is like moving into a new home. Although the location is not on the road, it is very quiet. I can sleep until early morning and feel like home. Moreover, when we go to a strange place, having an enthusiastic and capable landlady really gives us a sense of security. We can also ask the landlady to find someone to deliver our suitcases to the train station for 25 yuan per box, which saves us a lot of trouble.

Great friendly service in rustic tradition chinese type vibe. My room was great and spacious but the general up keep of the hotel needs a little more enthusiasm.
This hotel targets Chinese traveller's and the breakfast caters to these tastes. The always excellent value chef come general helpful guy with the mustache cooked some fried eggs and toast and delighted in accommodating my entrenched breakfast tastes.
I initially felt mislead by the photos but the place definitely grew on me and I enjoyed my stay

The hotel was as advertised, it was clean and beautiful. The view was nice, located by a stream. It was conveniently located close to the entrance of the national forest park. There are many restaurants, bakeries and convenience stores located around the hotel so food was not a worry.
The owner was very nice and friendly, planned our ZJJ trip for us! We did not have much planning, he tailored our trips for us and booked our tickets for us (cable cars, buses, lift and tram ride).
It is also to DiDi in ZJJ which make travelling between places very convenient.
It was a very cosy and comfortable stay. ❤️

We stayed in a tatami room, which was a great option for the money. clean, close to the entrance to the forest park, shops and a bus stop nearby. We were very pleased, the breakfast buffet and coffee really lifted our spirits every morning. The receptionist was a very nice woman, she helped us with everything and gave us a paper map of the area. In general, I recommend this place, we had a great time!

The staff and service is superb! We stayed 3 nights and book 3 rooms. The view from the rooftop every morning is amazing on a clear day. the only downside would be that the main road is currently under construction, which affect its accessibility. However, the service and attentiveness of the owner is really good. we had bbq dinner at the rooftop on the last day, invited by the owner and it was really an experience. 🌸 the staff was really helpful to recommend us places and give us discount for local attraction (like the wulingyuan area/ tianmenshan area) too

We stayed in Tianchong Yunhai for a week with two adults and two children. The big windows of the hotel just faced the forest park. When we woke up in the morning and opened the curtains, the majestic mountains immediately came into view. Thanks to the hotel housekeeper Yi Yi, who helped us plan the attractions before check-in, booked tickets for the attractions, guided us on the means of transportation, recommended the purchase points of surrounding daily necessities, etc., to help us enjoy the green mountains and waters and steep peaks of Zhangjiajie without worries. I have recommended it to my relatives, and they are also planning to come here to play.

It was a very satisfying accommodation experience. The decoration of the entire B&B was also very tasteful and the stay was very comfortable.

The room was very nice with a nice view from the window. It was exactly the same as the pictures we saw on the trip.com
They even provide bathroom slippers and disposable slippers in the room.
The voice activated XiaoZhiGuanJia was very fun to play with. It has a wide variety of functions such as switching on or off the lights in the room, the TV, and even playing songs that you want to listen to.
Bed was very comfortable. Room was very spacious.
I like the design of the room.
All hotel staffs were very friendly and approachable. They were very helpful to us throughout our stay.
They provide a very good customer oriented service, give advice and guidance with our trip planning.
They even helped us to prebook our tickets online before we arrive to Zhangjiajie.
A variety of breakfast selections mostly Chinese style options. My personal favourite was the freshly made soybean milk.
I would love to come back again to this hotel. Highly recommend them.

I have felt so well looked after here. From the friendly support in booking access to the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park via We Chat with the hotel to booking a guide which spoke English.
The hotel itself is in the perfect location only a few minutes walk to the elevator entrance and the staff were super friendly. Especially pengyi who helped to arrange all my activities for two days and also was very kind and offered to help with my laundry as I got back late from my first day of trekking. They really did make sure I had everything I needed and felt welcomed.
I would highly recommend for English speaking travellers as you can communicate using translation app.

SSharon AmandaI can not praise this hotel enough, it is FANTASTIC! First of all, when I made my booking, a lovely lady (Tang?) connected with me on Wechat. She gave me lots of information, answered all my questions and helped to plan our itinerary. She also offered to purchase our tickets for the National Park in advance. As it turns out, you can no longer do this, but the offer was very nice and thoughtful. When we arrived at the airport, I phoned her and she helped to direct the taxi driver from the airport to the hotel. Check-in was easy and she helped us both get the local QR health codes, which you need to access everywhere in the National Park.
The hotel itself is beautiful. Located near the top of the mountain, 5-10 minute walk away from the south gate to the park itself (and a much quieter entrance than both the east and south-east gates). We had a room overlooking the hotel entrance, with a mountain view (everywhere up there is a mountain view!). It was large, clean, with a great shower and a very comfortable bed. I had read other reviews about the hardness of the bed, but ours was super comfortable (Room 8207). Great TV too, with a good choice of programmes. Believe me, after a long day of hiking, it was nice to put our feet up and just unwind. Tea, coffee, water and fruit are provided (coffee has creamer in it, so if you don't drink milk, bring your own). There is also a lovely swimming pool - we had a refreshing swim one evening after a long hike, surrounded by the spectacular view. There is a restaurant in the hotel where you can get evening meals - we are vegan and so Tang helped us to choose vegetable dishes, which were delicious. There is also breakfast included. For us, the choice wasn't so great, but if you do not have any special dietary requirements, there are noodles, bao, sausage, egg, vegetables & fruit.
The hotel is great, but I have to say that it is the kind, friendly treatment by everyone there that makes it very special. Each day, Tang would ask us our plan and show us the best route on the map. She also arranged for someone to drop us off and pick us up when we ventured to a different gate. We speak no Chinese at all, and English at the hotel is limited, but with the help of a translation app, we had no problems at all. And the friendliness of everyone is almost overwhelming. I highly recommend this hotel and would DEFINITELY stay here again.
*Small note - if you suffer from travel sickness (as I do!) be warned that this area is full of winding mountain roads, so take some sort of medication or treatment with you.

Our experience at the laundry room was fantastic. Not only were detergents provided for free, but the cleaner also went above and beyond to help us clean and dry our clothes.
And the thoughtful gesture of receiving our clothes along with a night snack when we returned from our travels truly warmed our hearts.
With its convenient location just 5 minutes away from the cable car station, it's undeniable that this is the perfect place to stay.

TThereseWe had a very nice stay, we stayed 3 people in one room. The room we stayed in was very big and had its own unique style. It was very clean. The hotel is very close to the South Gate of the park. It's a little hidden away from the road, but they were very quick to come and pick us up and drove us to the park entrance every day free of charge. Breakfast eggs come from free range chicken on the ground and they were excellent. Over all the food was very good. It's a small hotel run by a family and they are all very nice and helpful with planning your stay. Location is beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay.

HHFPerhaps one of the best homestay I have ever stay in China! The overall service was excellent. Mr Li, the boss of the homestay personally picked me from the airport. Being a foreigner, there is a problem in retrieving the Zhangjiajie health code, fortunately I managed to get it sorted out by the airport security. Mr Li called me several times as he was wondering if I gave any issue since all passengers have existed the airport and there is no sight of me coming out. We drove around 30 minutes to the homestay. As it was rather late when I arrived, Mr Li asked if I needed any dinner and will get his colleague to prepare for me. Upon arrival at the homestay, I was greeted by Ms Xiao Liu, a young pretty girl who patiently explain about the walking route for several sightseeing places. She was knowledgeable and the information given to me was very clear. What I particularly like was the energy saving, as the staircase up to my room is installed with sensor control and lit-up as soon as there is movement. My room was upgraded to a higher category which was very spacious with a bathtub and lounging area at the balcony. The room was simple but well decorated. Great views overlooking the mountain. As it was snowing the day before I arrived, the sofa was covered with snow. The next day I had breakfast at another building. The breakfast venue was located next to the swimming pool. Breakfast was simple with a nice bowl of hot noodles during the winter. The ladies that worked behind the kitchen offered me fried egg to go along with my noodles. After my breakfast, Mr Li drove me to the Wulingyuan National Park entrance which is less than 10 minutes ride. After my excursion, Mr Zhao the manager of the homestay, fetched me back to the homestay. I ordered some dumplings and it was yummy. Ms Xiao Li made me a cup of tea to go with the dumplings. My room was cleaned upon my return. Hygiene was good and housekeeper did a get job. The bed was comfortable, however the pillows were a little soft for me. The only setback was the lighting in the bathroom was not bright enough when applying make-up. As my flight was in the evening, Mr Zhao fetch me to the Tianmen tourist centre as I would like visit the Tianmen mountain before my departure. I had a fabulous stay and the service offered by everyone was excellent. I will definitely return again on my next trip to Zhangjiajie.

GGuest UserMy friend and I stayed here when we were visiting the Zhangjiajie National Park. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the park's Eastern enterance which is super convienient. From the Eastern Entrance, you can catch the free bus to access Tianzi Shan, you can also take the Bailongshan Elevator that will take you to the most famous view points, including the First Bridge under Heaven and the Hallajuah Mountain. If you plan your routes well, it is possible to see all the different parts of the park by entering from the Eastern Enterance.
The hotel itself is clean and has a friendly atmosphere -- we both felt very safe and welcome. There is a breakfast place just 20m down the street and plenty of options of places to eat during the evening, so you don't need to worry about being able to find food. There is also a small night market in the evenings where you can buy fruit and street food.
The hotel can store your luggage for you so you don't need to worry about carrying it when you go hiking. I would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking about using the Zhangjiajie Eastern enterance.

GGuest UserThis is a MUST stay hotel if you are going to Tian Men Shan. The walking distance is 5mins away from the entrance! The room is clean and we love staying here!
However, if you are going without tourist guide, then better don’t join any in Zhang Jia Jie. At first we were paying the counter (tourist guide in the hotel) a deposit to buy the entrance ticket, but when we back to hotel after lunch, the person said they couldn’t proceed our ticket and want us to pay everything in full first. Then we immediately request to took back our money and go by ourselves

EExpatexplorerLocation- perfect for a remote stay! You feel truly in nature and able to relax. There is one road up so it can sometimes be hard to organise a taxi here but contact the hotel and they will help you easily
Service- rain is extremely helpful and helped us organise transport to and from the national park gate which is very close
Good- excellent chinese food, feels home cooked and delicious, not as oily. Breakfast is great
Pool- stunning infinity pool!
FYI you are in nature so there are bugs in the area

Location is near to zimu gang entrance gate of the national park. Walk 3 minutes to the gate. Our butler小覃is awesome! Before even arriving, we communicate through WeChat to obtain our Tianmenshan tickets. Base on his recommendation - We planned our trip such that day 1 we cover tianmenshan. You can deposit your luggage at the foot of tianmenshan gate if you are like us - arriving straight from airport. Day 2 and 3 were spent at the national park right beside the hotel. It’s more convenient that way. That saying, this hotel is far from downtown. Most of the town activities are 20minutes drive away. We didn’t have a car, so we managed through DiDi car sharing service. Transport wasn’t a great issue. We choose this hotel because it’s quiet. If you want to immerse yourself in activities, you will be better off staying at the East Gate area.
Service and amenities:
Service is great! Breakfast included. Sumptuous enough for our 8 hours daily hike in the national park. You can easily get your tickets from the butler anytime through WeChat. He helped us to return tickets when we couldn’t make it for certain attractions on time too.
The washing machine is down during our time here. We were hoping to get our clothes washed, especially after hiking in the rain for multiple days. Unfortunately that cannot be done. We just hand wash and dry it in our balcony. That was a bummer. They have a gym, outdoor. It will be great if it’s indoor and we will definitely use it.
View is awesome. We have a bathtub in the room which we used it to soak our tired bodies after long hike. Amenities are limited. But generally we were there for the location and ambience. You get random insects in the room at times, that’s the thing about staying near nature. If it’s an issue for you - try to get the upper floor rooms. Our room was at the ground floor.
Lastly, we love their house cat!

A positive point of the hotel is the location, it is very convenient, not only because Zhangjiajie Park is very close, but it is located in the middle between Tianmen Mountain and the Glass Bridge Park. Very convenient.
I went with a friend and they gave us a room that we hadn't asked for, I understand that they were renovating (one day we ran out of light) and that the room was more expensive than ours, but having a bathroom and shower with glass was very inconvenient, especially because it wasn't what we asked for and we were not a couple.
None of the staff spoke English and they demanded that we speak Chinese, in my case I don't speak it, but my friend does. When he wasn't there they treated me badly just because I didn't speak Chinese, you can't have a hotel where you accept foreigners and don't speak English, especially in a tourist spot like Zhangjiajie. Once I asked for water at the front desk (I don't understand why we had to ask for it everyday) and they didn't understand, the word water is basic English.
The day we arrived the room was not completely clean, there were ashes in the bathroom (we had asked for a non-smoking room), the room smelled of cigarettes and there was not even a pillow.
The day the light went out we couldn't close the window, so we asked for help and they replied that it was because of the light since the room was all electric; In the afternoon when we came back from the excursion (and the light was back) the situation was the same, with the excuse that it was too late they put some scotch tape on the window and said they would fix it the next day. They never did and the day we left there window it was still like that. We had to have the air conditioning on all the time because of the cold.
We have to say that a lady of the staff was very nice to us and even stopped us to give us the fruit, even though there was the problem of the language barrier, she was very kind and friendly with us.
