Our stay at Lexi Shanya Homestay (Heaven’s Gate) was just amazing!! I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay, and I also could not have asked for a better host. Issac (the owner) and his parents were charming. Issac speaks wonderful English, which made planning for the trip a lot smoother. He called me a day before we arrived to arrange to pick us up at the airport. Once we got to the homestay, he gave us a dinner menu and informed us that the food would be ready in an hour. He helped plan out two days in Zhangjiajie, booking the tickets for us in advance! He got us the entry tickets (both for TianMen and The National Forrest) as well as tickets for the cable cars/escalators/etc. He took us up to the TianMen mountain gates and gave us routes that the tourists usually do not go! I couldn’t believe it. He is a native to Zhangjiajie which made everything all the better.
If you are a foreigner traveling to Zhangjiajie, I really recommend staying here. Not only is this homestay cozy and quiet, but Issac is also knowledgable and will help you with all the small details of your trip!!
10/10! I wish I could give this place higher than 5 stars! If I come back to Zhangjiajie again, I will stay here! Recommending this place to all my friends traveling! :)

We had an amazing stay here. The location is just outside of the downtown area but so peaceful with a beautiful view. The hospitality and service were great. The host is friendly, helpful and can speak good English. They offered to drive us to both the train station as well as the Tianmen Mountain cable car station.
The rooms are beautiful, modern and clean. Our room had everything we needed. We absolutely loved the outdoor pool with a view of Tianmen Mountain.
Breakfast was delicious with a variety of options.
Thanks you Issac and family. We will definitely be back.

As a family, we would highly recommend Heaven’s Gate (Lexi Shanya) Homestay. We were warmly welcomed by owner Issac and his parents - and shown to clean, well-equipped and comfortable bedrooms. Issac provided us with extremely helpful information about visiting Tianmen Mountain (including a map and relevant ticket prices). He also offered to book us tickets for the local folk show - and even drove us to the Tianmen Mountain Cable Car in his own vehicle! Breakfast comprised of delicious local food, and we were served complimentary bowls of fresh fruit. Our children loved the swimming pool and played happily with other children staying at the Homestay.

It really feels like home here. The location is very good. When you open the curtains, you can see Tianmen Cave and the train. The boss and his family are very nice! The ticket booking discounts and attractions were introduced, and as a person who likes off-roading, he patiently introduced fun places to me. The boss introduced nearby restaurants that were really delicious🤤The breakfast made by the uncle and aunt at the B&B was so smooth that I just showed off two bowls of it! I originally wanted to stay one more night but unfortunately it was fully booked. It is really worth coming here! See you next time! Thank you boss for the hospitality❤️

Handsome Luo's service is very good. Tianmen Mountain is their back garden, it's so beautiful. When you wake up early and open the curtains, you can see Tianmen Cave. The room is clean and the breakfast is delicious😋

The owner of the Digging Treasures B&B is very helpful in booking low-price scenic spot tickets. He also drives a battery car to the ropeway station inside the scenic spot, eliminating the need to take a bus in front. There is really no queue at Ximen to go to Yuanjiajie and it is very close to the camping. The stream inside the B&B is clear. Don’t have too much fun with your dog

It was super nice! We were given a free shuttle to the train station at 6:30 in the morning and were also taken to the cable car and picked up. The owners are super nice and you really feel at home! The view is really great and the rooms are very modern. But what I can really recommend is the food. I have rarely had such good Chinese food. I can only recommend it!
