Zhangjiajie Hotels with Bars

Have stayed here during our visit to Zhangjiajie mountains for 4 nights. It was chosen between several hotels in the area and the choice was absolutely right. We really enjoyed our stay in Harmona. The resort has a unique location in a forest between mountains, so u can feel all the beauty of nature. Also very welcoming stuff here who always try to make your stay more comfortable doesn’t matter that time is it. Especial thanks to Cherry, who assisted us all the time and to Nancy from the front desk and Huhuayong the driver. The position of the resort is perfect for visiting main attractions - forest park, canyon, dragon cave - just 10-15 minutes drive and give you all the opportunities of forest silence in the evening after busy day in the crowd. All amenities are good and usable - hot springs, restaurants, tea house etc. And landscape of resort is perfect. The view from the room in 8th floor is wonderful.

I love the hotel location which is at a quiet neighbourhood, 10 mins walk to the main food street and 15 mins leisure walk to the east gate of forest park. The receptionist was helpful to book the attraction tickets at discounted price and provided all the necessary information. I had an upgraded room which was spacious, modern, clean and comfortable with balcony overlooking the stream. Breakfast was above average, enough to keep us filling. Highly recommended.

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the place as we could see the amazing natural landscape within Zhang Jia Jie National Park from the comfort of our room. The staff there were really helpful in helping us check in and also offered to drive us to the gate to enter the National Park. Room is very spacious and cosy.

We had an amazing stay at Forest homestay at sunrise. The homestay is a short 5 minute drive from the west gate of the National Park which is much quieter and with smaller queues. The service we received was excellent, in particular from Mr Wu (小吴) who was extremely helpful in planning an itinerary tailored to our schedule and organised all of our tickets for us. He helped us to plan a route which avoided the crowds for most of the day. The hotel had stunning views of the mountains, complete with an infinity pool and a restaurant with delicious local food. We highly recommend staying here!

Heaven! This hotel is perfection! Nestled in the mountains you can be at one with nature here and relax in the most comfortable surroundings. The hotel is an old village that has transformed into an amazing rustic high end hotel. It is situated very near to the Zhangjiajie scenic park entrances such as Avatar Mountains. The rooms/villas are spacious, clean and have everything you could want. There was a turn down service with snacks provided and they set up the projector ready for when you arrive back from a wonderful day of sightseeing. The warm bath on the balcony really helped to relax us too. The views at this hotel are breathtaking! The most beautiful vistas that you can see from the rooms, balconies and the infinity pool (1 of 2 pools they have there). The restaurant was impressive, all the food is freshly cooked and many of the items are grown at the hotel (see the rice paddies and vegetables growing in the photos). There was a lot of choice of food and the price was very reasonable. The restaurant also has some wine and spirits to enjoy with your meal or to sip on a gin and tonic at the infinity pool just outside to watch the sun set. Breakfast was amazing, again plenty of choice and real coffee too. There is also a bar on site if you wish to sing karaoke with beers and friends once the sun has set. The most outstanding aspect of this hotel for us was the service. Rain, the (reception) manager was incredible, nothing was too much trouble for him. He called us the day before to arrange pick up and he speaks perfect English. Throughout the stay he organised and helped with everything we needed, he really did go above and beyond, thank you so much Rain to you and all of your staff who work so hard. This hotel was definitely great value for the price, the location and aspect of the hotel, also perfect. We cannot wait to come back again, maybe winter next time to see the snowy mountains and to sit by the fires in the rooms. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, 110%! This stay was a great experience. The homestay has its own courtyard, which is very comfortable and beautiful! ! ! The room is very clean, the layout of the room is very nice, the room is very soundproof and quiet. Fruits were prepared as soon as we arrived at the homestay, and the housekeeper's service was great! ! , the housekeeper was very enthusiastic, and arranged a pick-up for us, saving a lot of time, and recommended us a tour route. If you have any questions, tell the housekeeper, and he will help us solve them quickly. And this homestay is very good for taking photos. Very satisfied, must praise!

This hotel appears to have undergone a major renovation and upgrade recently. The hotel is pleasant and comfy overall, but there are no frills or excesses. We had ordered a Deluxe Queen room and it was spacious and clean. The highlight of the room was a wide panoramic window that offered a wonderful view of the town and the surrounding mountains. We recommend that you opt for this room type, if you can! The staff at the reception were kind and patiently explained everything. They met our every request, but be warned that they speak no English. You would be fine with even basic Chinese, however. There was a relatively broad selection of meal at breakfast. Although the meal at breakfast was entirely Chinese, even European travellers would definitely find something to eat as there was a broad selection of salads available. The breakfast is served on a pleasant covered rooftop terrace. There is plenty of restaurants and shops in the area surrounding the hotel. The hotel is conventiently located a few steps away from the main entrance of the Zhangjiajie national park As far as we could discern, no other hotel is located closer to the main gate. We are European travellers, by the way. Would highly recoomend this hotel to anyone, but you need to have at least basic Chinese language skills! Besides, we found the hotel to be extremely good value!

During our visit to China, we stayed at the ‘Mr Sean Castle’ hotel from 29 July to 1 August 2024. The hotel is named after ‘Sean the Sheep’ (the character being a favourite of the owner apparently) and, being British, we thought this quirky theme was brilliant… you can see various models of Sean dotted around the hotel. The hotel was absolutely fabulous and the staff were all so friendly. As part of our reason for visiting China was to celebrate a 50th birthday, the Mr Sean Castle hotel kindly gave us an upgraded room, which was amazing. The hotel is in a great location close to downtown Zhangjiajie, but just far enough away to ensure you have a quiet and very peaceful night’s sleep away from any outside noise. The food at the hotel is first-class, including a great variety of delicious choices for breakfast. The hotel has an amazing open-air roof-top garden that is packed with beautiful flowers, shrubs and trees… it’s truly breathtaking to see, and was an amazing place to sit and eat as we watched a phenomenal lighting storm play out over the Zhangjiajie mountain range that forms the incredible backdrop to the hotel’s view over the river to the rear. As stated above, the hotel staff were fantastic, but particular thanks go to ‘Scarlett’ (张思嘉) for her assistance in helping us to arrange the tickets we needed to visit Tianmen Mountain, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon… she sorted everything out for us and without her knowledge and help, our trip would definitely not have been as amazing as it was… thank you again Scarlett! We would fully recommend the Mr Sean Castle hotel to anyone planning to visit Zhangjiajie, and will definitely stay there again if we ever come back to the amazing city of Zhangjiajie… which is highly likely!

I had an amazing stay at this resort! Lu lu was super helpful and made the experience seamless. The restaurant was great, especially for breakfast. The hot spring bath was a highlight - the staff made sure that the water temperature was exactly to our liking and provided hot tea and towels for our use. The grounds are well-maintained and beautiful. The only negative I could say is that they did not offer massage services when I stayed, even though it was advertised online. Maybe because it was the low season or because they forgot to update the listing?

The hotel is gorgeous! Very nice view and location. The staff is fantastic, Chinese people is very nice and friendly but they are the best. They helped us with everything we needed, arranging our trip to the National Forest Park and Tianmen Mountain! We really suggest to book this hotel to have a true and pleasant experience in Zhangjiajie, Wulingyuan, and to also eat at their restaurant, it is delicious! And a special thanks to 成龙, he’s the best and kindest guy.
