Hotels Near Chikuseikan in Yufu

I experienced a tatami room in the form of a traditional Japanese house. They cleaned it so well that the old trees are shiny and slippery. There is a private open-air bath attached to the accommodation, so I enjoyed the hot spring without worrying about time. The elderly couple owners were friendly and the dinner (they said they brought it in from a nearby restaurant) and breakfast were clean. It's right next to Kinrinko Lake, so it's nice to go around the lake in the morning and look around. It was difficult to move with a suitcase because it was far from the bus terminal. The hot springs are good, the lodging costs are cheaper than other places, and you can feel the atmosphere of Japan. I will stay here next time I go.

First of all, based on the price, it is acceptable. Food-wise, nothing surprising, just average. The large transparent glass window in the dining area allows you to enjoy the outdoor scenery, which is the best thing about this hotel. In terms of facilities, there is nothing to show for it. It is just a small hotel. As for the room, the equipment is average and a bit old. The biggest problem is that the check-out time is 10:00 in the morning, and because we have to accommodate the pick-up schedule, we can only choose the bus that leaves at 9:00 in the morning, so we can't enjoy the hot springs. (Note: The hotel is equipped with a shuttle bus, but I did not make a reservation. I estimated that I could walk there, but it took 30 minutes. Therefore, it is recommended that guests make a reservation for the shuttle bus from the station to the hotel.)

How cost-effective it is. Small business. There is a pick-up service after 3pm. We will take you to the station when you leave. There are only 6 rooms. Basically no one is using the public hot springs. You can go in at any time. It is no different from private ones. The meals are like family dishes. There are Mandarin-speaking work-study students. No need to worry about communication problems.

The room is large enough, clean and tidy, and the waiters are polite. If you travel by car, you can give it a try. There is no other means of transportation except taxis, but it is only 10 minutes away from Yufuin Station. The TV can watch YouTube and choose programs in your own language. Although the open-air bath is thin, it is very relaxing for two people to soak together. The dormitory includes one meal each in the morning and evening. Dinner is sushi and other food, which is of acceptable quality. Breakfast, which includes two breads and drinks per person, is relatively inferior. If you want to choose this hotel, you can choose not to include breakfast and dinner, because there is a supermarket in Yufuin, and you can choose your own food and bring it to the hotel. The room also has an induction cooker and a frying pan, and bowls and chopsticks are also provided. Overall, I personally think this hotel is worth recommending.

Found this hot spring hotel online, saw a lot of justice so chose to visit this time. We arrived at 6 pm, the clerk was already waiting from the main door, I am a little embarrassed that we came too late. We booked a two-course meal. We went back to the room to change, then to the restaurant for dinner, dinner was already ready for us. The dinner was too much to eat. Needless to say, the chicken pot was delicious and sweet, and finally the pearl rice was added to the pot to cook, and all the essences were eaten. The final dessert was ice cream, and the sales were already won. After dinner we returned to the room and prepared to dip in the hot springs. Because the hotel was all separate wall open-air bathrooms, we chose one to enjoy our hot spring bath. At 8:30 in the morning, a delicate and simple breakfast was ready. The friend of the same company was not feeling well and the clerk was very careful to prepare him white porridge and some side dishes. After breakfast, I soaked in the hot spring again and packed my bags and checked out. The overall feeling of this hotel is first class and the staff is intimate. The environment is quiet and will visit you next time, but it will be early to enjoy the quiet and comfortable environment. Everyone can book through Jalan.net. It's very clean!! I am the type of person to easily get rashes when strangers touch me, but I had no issues staying here. The staff also upgraded my room 🥰 The location is very very good, just a short walk from the beppu train station, where you can take a local bus to the jigoku tourism onsens. The private onsen was hard to get when I stayed, you really have to monitor the availability on TV. I would suggest that you try afternoon for the private onsens when people are either out or have checked out of the hotel, as they seem to be very popular at night.

Travel with a group of friends to Beppu but only 4 of us decided to stay at Amanek for 2 nights. This was the best decision ever as we were closed to the JR station, eateries, Tokiwa shopping mall, Donki and the beach were within walking distance. Only few staff could speak English. Those who speak Japanese only also try their best to serve the guest. I am impressed by how clean and new the whole hotel is. Best of all, I love the free flow of juices & beverages. You could also do take away in the UCC coffee disposible cup. Love the choice of either western or local breakfast with free flow of side dishes. I am surprised by how big the bedroom is and spacious bathroom. The gym equipment tho basic, are new & in good condition. The onsen is clean & modern & I love the warm rooftop pool with an awesome view! Amanek is thoughtful to provide guest with a basket to hold all your onsen needs. Upon check out, I was overcharged for my 2 days of breakfast. The staff was quick to rectify the problem & refunded me on the spot. Yes, would definitely stay in Amanek again in my next visit to Beppu! Thank you for the awesome stay!

Facilities: Excellent facilities. It is rated 3 stars, but it must be 4 stars. The service is more than 5 stars. Service: Excellent service. They asked for parking spaces, pointed out directions, and gave us coupons for nearby attractions and English and Chinese instructions. I couldn't believe that they prepared ice cubes for our room before we checked in. The girl at the front desk saw that we came from afar and upgraded the sea view room. The breakfast was also good. Hygiene: Very clean hotel. The room is divided into three areas, like a suite, and it is a rare super large room for traveling in Japan. Environment: You can see the sea from the window, and it is 2 minutes away from the beach. It is one JR station away from Beppu University, and 5 bus stops away from the awesome Takasaki Monkey Mountain and Oita Sea Ocean Museum, and 10 minutes away. We walked 600 meters from Beppu JR Station to the hotel, which was acceptable.

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Service was very good. Parking was an extra 550 yen per day. Breakfast was Japanese style but did include a bacon and egg cooked in front of each guest with the small Japanese hotpot. Our room fit 3 adults was very nice with clean modern amenities consisting of one room with two single beds, and a sizable living room with futon in the evening for the third bed. Nice view of Beppu tower in our room. Hotspring outdoor was totally enjoyable with a view of the sunrise and the Beppu Bay. Gotta be careful though because for ladies, someone in a boat at the bay might be able to see our naked upper bodies with telescope if we stand up.😅

The room was very clean, from corner to corner. It was very comfortable. I am allergic to dust mites and dust, so I can tell how clean it is right away. They also provided a bottle of water. It was very helpful during the hot summer. There was also little difference in height between the bath and the room, which was nice. Breakfast was cheap at 1,500 yen, and the Western-style soup was so delicious that I had two bowls. They also served Oita Prefecture's specialty, Toriten. There was also a note explaining how to eat it with ponzu and mustard, which was very nice. The women and men at the front desk were kind and the a**osphere was nice. I became a member and made a member card. I am also thinking of staying at places in other prefectures.
